February 29. 2012- Happy Leap Day!

Alyson's Exciting Events of the Day:

• Woke up at 5:00am AGAIN!  Mommy hopes I get this out of my system before the weekend... she really needs to sleep in.
• I didn't want to leave Dolly upstairs in bed this morning...  but Daddy made me.  I was so upset!  But somehow when I got downstairs, Mommy had Dolly waiting for me so I gave her a big hug and kiss.  (Note from Mommy:  we have two Dollys [Alyson doesn't know])
• Mommy decided that I could take "Moo" (cow pillow pet) to Ms. Cheri's today...  She laid it with my bag while we were getting ready this morning, so I grabbed it and ran through the house with it yelling, "Moo, Moo, Moo, Moo..."
• When we got to Ms. Cheri's I grabbed my "Moo," my blanket, Dolly, and a book and laid in the floor.  Mommy said it was a great day for cuddling up with a blanket and book since it was cold and pouring the rain.  (I think she's jealous!)
• Once we got home this afternoon, I ate a huge dinner...  a whole plate of pasta with alfredo sauce, chicken, broccoli, and biscuits.  Then I had a few cookies for dessert.  Then before going to bed I ate a whole Nutrigrain bar.  Mommy said something about me going through a growth spurt... I'm not sure what that means but I know I'm eating a lot!
• Mommy let me call Grandma and Grandpa since I put her phone to my ear and said "Hello."  I called both Grandma and Grandpa "Namna" (close to Grandma and Grandpa) and told them both "Laa doo."  I think they were happy to hear my voice.  Grandma was impressed that I was talking so well.
• Mommy and I read two books after putting my pjs on... we read my Sounds book and Polar Bear, Polar Bear, What Do You Hear?  We also said our scripture verses and prayers (which we say every single night).

Alyson's Exciting Events of the Day:

• Woke up at 5:00am...  I think I'm starting to be an early riser (earlier than I was already)...  Mommy is super bummed since she loves to sleep in!
• I "Moo"ed most of the way to Ms. Cheri's today.  I love finding the cows and then pointing to them once we get out of the car at her house. 
• When Mommy picked me up today, Keegan, Annie, and I were playing blocks and babies together.  We are good friends and play very well with one another.  Ms. Cheri said I also played with a horse toy that neighed.  She said I was even saying "Neigh" as well.
• Mommy took me to her school and we went to help with WyldLife.  I love helping Mommy and Daddy pick the raffle ticket winners...  I'm really good at drawing tickets and handing them to Daddy.  The middle school kids really like playing with me too!  Mommy took some pictures of me during WyldLife to post on here, but she forgot she was using the Yearbook camera and had to leave it at school.
• We went to Pizza Montese after WyldLife and had dinner since we were late leaving Mommy's school.  I ate pasta, pizza, breadsticks, cucumbers, and even a bite of a chocolate chip cookie....  YUM!
• I am really good at saying "uh oh!"  Sometimes it is after I do something like drop a book or knock something over, but other times it is right before I do it...  Daddy says that saying it before-hand shows premeditation (whatever that means...).
• I was so ready for bed....  Mommy doesn't know if it more teeth coming in or if I was just super tired tonight, but I had a serious meltdown before falling asleep.  She is hoping that I sleep well tonight.

Alyson's Exciting Events of the Day:

• I ran straight to the bathroom this morning and reached for my toothbrush yelling "teeth, teeth."  Mommy loves that I have started such great habits.
• While Mommy was getting ready for work, I decided to unpack all of the bags...  I'm so helpful!
• Mommy and Daddy took me to the park today since the weather was gorgeous!  I kept wanting to go down the big twisty slide.... I climbed up and went down it MANY times.
• I decided to reorganize the rubbermaid drawers where Mommy stores my food items and bibs...  It looked like a big explosion!
• After dinner (pot roast, mashed potatoes, and veggies), I decided to see how many cookies I could fit in my mouth at once...  I think I maxed out at six cookies.  Daddy laughed but Mommy looked nervous.  For some reason they keep calling me "Cookie Monster."

Winding "Baby Monti" to hear "Country Roads"

Alyson's Exciting Events of the Day:

• I woke up at 5:30 again this morning (two days in a row)...  Mommy got up with me this time.  She said it was her turn. 
• I played with a lot of my toys once we got up, even played with Mommy's "Baby Monti" bear.  It plays the song "Country Roads" and I love it.  I made a huge mess with all of my toys!  (Mommy is thankful that I am starting to help her clean up the mess...  if she says "Pick up your cards" I do it.)
• I played with Gemma while she laid in the other window...  I kept hugging her while she hid behind the curtain.
• Mommy made scrambled eggs and toast for breakfast... she even gave me some apple sauce... YUM!
• I made a new friend at church... a new little baby.  I even gave her a gentle hug.  I also blew kisses at most of the adults as well.
• At church there were 3 other kids in the nursery.  It was fun!  I was the only one that helped clean up the toys though (and I was the youngest!).  Mommy was so proud!
• After church, I took a nap in the car so Mommy and Daddy had a picnic lunch in the car while I napped.
• Mommy and Daddy made me practice the piano twice today, once with Daddy and once with Mommy.   It was fun and I'm surprised they actually know how to play!
• Daddy and I played in the tunnel and Daddy got stuck!  It was so much fun crawling through the tunnel on top of Daddy's back... we were all laughing really hard!
• I climbed into my jumper three times today all by myself, once I even got my legs in the right place.
• I played in the backyard while Mommy cooked dinner and Daddy did a little yard work.
• Once Mommy and Daddy gave me a bath, I climbed up into my chair in my room before mommy could even put on a diaper to ask for books off of my bookshelf (I can almost reach them while standing on the chair).  Mommy handed me a few books so I sat in the chair reading for a few minutes until they convinced me to put on a diaper and pjs.  The called me a silly girl.

Shopping is exhausting!

Alyson's Exciting Events of the Day:

• I woke up at 5:30 this morning...  Daddy and I got up and played though he had hoped to sleep a little bit longer.
• Once Mommy got up, I decided to play in the living room window with Gemma.  I climbed on the back of the couch and onto the window sill.  I even sat on the window sill with my legs hanging down and then got stuck, wedged between the couch and the window... Mommy had to rescue me.  I had fun cuddling with Gemma in one of her favorite hiding spots.
• I helped Mommy and Daddy do laundry (unloading the dryer one item at a time).
• Mommy took me to Chick-fil-a for lunch and to play... it was so much fun!  I even "Moo"ed at a picture of the Chick-fil-a cow.  The fruit was my favorite part of lunch, I even said "Yum!"
• I then went shopping with Mommy.  I couldn't stay awake, so luckily Mommy pushed me around the mall while I napped.  While I napped, Mommy bought me some clothes. 
• I found a cat toy today (ball with a bell)... I kept rolling it and Gemma and I would take turns chasing it.  We had fun!
• I decided to play the piano today...  the first notes I played sounded like the Peanuts theme song.  I love music!
• While Mommy and Daddy were cooking dinner, I climbed into my jumped all by myself and got stuck...  My legs were stuck behind me and I was on my knees.  Daddy saved me!

Alyson's Exciting Events of the Day:

• I was carrying books to my room this morning, when I dropped one so I said, "Oops!"
• When Mommy and I were finished getting ready I said, "Ready?" to see if Mommy was ready.  She usually asks me that...
• Daddy picked me up from Ms. Cheri's today so Mommy could go out with a few friends.  I was so surprised!  (So, Daddy was also in charge of taking pics for my blog).
• Daddy bought me a cheese roll-up for dinner... I gobbled it up!
• Daddy and I read "Moo, Baa, La, La, La," one of my current favorite books.
• Mommy got home just in time to get ready for bed.  She cuddled with me and gave me lots of hugs and kisses and said she missed me so much.

Yummy Dinner Face!

Alyson's Exciting Events of the Day:

• Daddy picked out a pretty outfit for me to wear...  I got to wear my cute blue ribbon shirt, brown and blue skirt, and tights... I was super cute!
• I sat on the soda boxes and one collapsed.  I got stuck and Mommy had to help me get up.
• Dinner was delicious!  I ate handfuls of pasta at a time and Mommy thinks I ended up with more on my face than in my belly.  Maybe that is why Mommy and Daddy took off my pretty shirt and made me wear a bib too...
• I practiced finding the "Bus" in one of my books.
• Daddy and I wrestled in the floor, Gemma supervised.  I think I won!
