- I finally got up close to 7:30 this morning after laying in bed whining off and on for a little while.
- After breakfast with Daddy, I got dressed in my orange jack-o-lantern shirt and headed to Ms. Cheri's for the day. As soon as we got there, I asked where Keegan and Payton were but Ms. Cheri said they would be there soon. I have missed them the last few days.
- Every time Ms. Cheri asked if I wanted anything (banana, cereal bar, etc.) today, I would say, "No." She thinks it is just a phase. Mommy hopes so.
- After Mommy picked me up, we ran to Hagerstown to find a hat for Daddy's costume. He wanted to dress as the Man in the Yellow Hat from Curious George since I was going to dress as a monkey. Luckily we found a yellow hat that will work even if it isn't exactly right people will get the idea.
- Once at home, we ate a quick dinner, I got dressed in my monkey costume, took my purple Halloween bucket and headed to go trick-or-treating. Mommy thinks that Ms. Cheri must have been practicing with me how to say "trick or treat" because I was really good at it when she picked me up. I did great going door to door saying "trick or treat" and "thank you." I stayed right with Mommy and Daddy and Carol. It was so much fun. I think a few people realized who Daddy and Mommy were supposed to be... Daddy was the Man in the Yellow Hat and Mommy was Professor Wiseman... all three of us were dressed as characters from my favorite television show, Curious George!
- After trick-or-treating, we came back home and Daddy let me eat another piece of candy (he already let me have a couple while trick-or-treating). Mommy baked me some Mickey Mouse Halloween cookies. We ate a couple of cookies and she even let me have a couple of drinks of her hot chocolate. We had a nice relaxing evening watching a couple of episodes of Curious George before bed.
- Once bed time rolled around, it was meltdown time. I was not happy to be going to bed and kept crying, "My candy downstairs!" "My bucket is?" (asking about her candy bucket). I wanted more candy and did not want to go to sleep. Mommy thinks I just had too much sugar and was now restless.

Alyson's Exciting Events of the Day
- I slept until after 8:00 again this morning... two days in a row!
- Daddy made Mommy and I pancakes for breakfast. He tried to use my new monkey shaped skillet, but my pancakes didn't quite look like monkeys... at least he tried!
- We relaxed at home, cuddled on the couch much of the time until lunch. I ate leftover pizza, chips, and fruit and then I helped Mommy and Daddy put away some clothes in our drawers and closets. We have been catching up on washing clothes and packing up clothes that no longer fit and replacing them with some new outfits since we have been at home a little extra. The most fun part was climbing in and out of the clothes basket and playing. After helping with the clothes, it was nap time. When I laid down to nap, I told Daddy, "Sweet dreams."
- After nap, we got dressed and ready to go out and about. We first went to Petsmart... as soon as we pulled in the parking lot I started saying, "animals!" I was so excited and ran from section to section looking at all the animals. There were no kitties there and I was a little sad, but Daddy said that was a good thing. I really enjoyed getting to pet a nice big dog. His Mommy and Daddy were trying a penguin Halloween costume on him. (He seemed a little embarrassed.) I found a penguin Christmas toy and shook it at him trying to get him to play. I was a big helper and helped Daddy carry the cat food to the front of the store.
- After we left Petsmart, we went to Wal-mart. I enjoyed looking at the bicycles and other toys. I pointed at a princess motorized four-wheeler toy and told Daddy, "Ride it!" Daddy was not amused.
- Daddy then took Mommy and I to Chick-fil-a. I was so excited to get to run and climb and play after being stuck in the house for a while. It was so much fun! After eating, I got to see my friend Zandy but this time she was dressed like a princess... She was so beautiful!
- Once back at home, Mommy and Daddy said it was time to carve the pumpkins. I started yelling, "Pumpkin Patch!" and ran to carry the pumpkins from the foyer to the living room. I dropped Daddy's pumpkin at the stem broke. I think he was a little sad. Daddy cut a hole in the top of his pumpkin then opened it up. I had no idea all of that stuff was inside. I watched Daddy get a few hands full of what Mommy called "pumpkin guts" then I thought about reaching in. After some hesitation, I finally decided to do my part. I wasn't sure about how yucky it felt, but it was kinda fun. It was very stringy! I did have to ask for a paper towel to clean my hands a couple of times when they got gross. I helped Daddy carve the face in his pumpkin then watched as he lit the candle inside. I told him, "Good job, Daddy!" I had a stare-down with Daddy's jack-o-lantern and even tried picking his nose before Daddy put it on the porch for a little while. I helped Mommy with her pumpkin too, but I think she forgot to take the guts out. She just cut designs in her pumpkin. When she was finished, I said, "Good job, Mommy."
- We called to talk to Grandma and Grandpa who don't have power after the storm then it was time for bed. While talking to them on the phone, Daddy got me some fruit loops to snack on. He put them in a small bowl for me. I was eating them with my hands then decided I would rather use a spoon, so I grabbed a spoon that was laying in the living room. Mommy started laughing when she saw me using such a big spoon, especially since it was the same spoon Daddy had just used to scrape out the pumpkin guts just a few minutes before.
- I hope I get to see Keegan, Payton, and Ms. Cheri tomorrow. I have missed them!

Alyson's Exciting Events of the Day
- I slept until after 8:00 this morning! I spent a bit of last night coughing and that is why Mommy thinks I slept so late. Mommy and Daddy were so happy about my sleeping in, but not happy about my coughing! They gave me extra medicine today so hopefully it will help.
- I'm not sure I didn't go to Ms. Cheri's today since it was Monday, but I enjoyed the day playing and cuddling on the couch with Mommy and Daddy. We watched a little Dora, a little George, and a little Mickey throughout the day.
- I enjoyed playing in my kitchen, looking through the kmart toy catalog that came in the mail, and even riding my scooter through the house with the help of Daddy.
- I decided I needed some lotion, so I got some on my hand and rubbed it on my belly. I did this a couple times during the day... Mommy thinks my skin must be dry.
- When Mommy tried to take my picture and said "cheese" I made a horrible face, but she decided to include it in my blog since it was cute.
- I wanted to go outside so bad to play today, but Mommy and Daddy wouldn't let me. It was very rainy and very windy. Mommy spent a lot of time looking at the weather on the computer. They said it is something called a hurricane that is going over us causing all of this wind and rain. I know some very nice ladies named Sandy, but this Hurricane Sandy sounds like she is making people very nervous.
- After Daddy helped Major Story at the church, Mommy gave away some of our Eat-n-Park cookies... I was upset with her because I thought she gave them all away. Only after I found out we still had some left did I forgive her. (She had planned to take some to school for her work friends, but now that she hasn't been at school, she's afraid some of them will get stale).
