Alyson's Antics of the Day:

I said:

"Ruff-ruff-a-do" (my version of cock a doodle do)

I did:

Got up and had breakfast with grandpa while grandma slept in. 

Had another lazy day since it was so hot outside. 

Talked to Mommy and Daddy on the phone...  They were in Central Park waiting to watch a concert.  I with I was at the park!

I had grandma send a picture of my braid hair to Mommy... I figured she would say Wow when she saw it. 

Played inside until it got dark. 

Went out with grandma to catch lightning bugs. We caught 4. 

Hopefully going to the mall tomorrow to check on the progress of the giraffe.

Alyson's Antics of the Day:

I said:

"I'm sweaty. I need a fan." (When Grandma suggested going to my room I said I didn't need to stay in there. She told me we that there wasn't a fan in living room so I said, "how about this, I will take a big drink and it will go all the way down through my body to my arms and legs."  Guess what?  It worked. 

"I have lightning bug hands." (After letting the lightning bugs go)

I did:

Grandpa got up with me today. I had Cheerios today for breakfast. 

It was a lazy day today since we have been so busy the last couple of days. 

I talked to Mommy and Daddy on the phone. They were walking on the beach watching people make sand castles. I told Mommy that I wanted to make a sand castle with Daddy. 

After a nap, Grandma and I went to the grocery store. I was a big girl. Grandma was so proud. I was such a good helper. 

Grandpa fixed BBQ chicken on the grill. I also had potatoes, green beans, and corn on the cob. 

As a surprise grandma got me M & Ms. For some reason I ate half of each one. 

After dinner I caught a few lightning bugs.

Alyson's Antics for the Day:

I said:

"Take me home, country roads" (singing it for no apparent reason)

"Why folks are people standing there?"  (Referring to Magic Island in Charleston). Grandma told me maybe they were fishing, but I told her, "there's nothing in the water." Grandma told me there were fish in the water so I asked her, "are there octopuses in there?" 

I got a balloon and it was tied to a bracelet that changed colors. On the way home it changed back to what Grandma thought was white but I said, "it I s very, very, very, very, very light green."  I then smelled it and tells Grandma, "it smells like light green."

I  did:
We went to Festivall in Charleston. I got a tattoo that said "I love reading". 
We also made a necklace with my name on it but we lost it before it got home. 
I made a bookmark with my name on it. 
We walked to the mall to see the progress of the giraffe. 
While there we had lunch at Taco Bell.
I rode a ride before we left. 
Came home, took a nap. 
After the nap, I went swimming. 
Had 11/2 pieces of leftover pizza and was still hungry so I had  some green beans. 
Watched a couple of shows on the IPad. 
Went outside and watched fireworks and tried to catch lightning bugs. (Couldn't decide which was more important.) 

Saw two big slugs. 
Had a busy day, Grandma is exhausted:)

Alyson's Antics for the Day

I said:

• "You have a library???" (with surprise when Grandma told her they might have crafts outside the library)
• "Grandma, I have very good eyes but I can't see in dark places."

I did:

• Mommy woke me up this morning and I told her, I thought it was still night. 
• I cuddled with her on the couch a few minutes.  Indy and Littles joined us in cuddle time until Mommy had to leave.  Mommy and Daddy are going to be on a date for a few days while I stay with Grandma and Grandpa to help take care of Indy and Littles.
• After Mommy left I stayed up with Grandpa and had Apple Jacks.
• We had a relaxing day since it was so hot and there were no bugs out.
• We all went to dinner and I ate pasta with marinara sauce and applesauce.   Since I finished everything, I got ice cream with chocolate syrup.  (YUM!)
• We went to the levee and I had a juice box and squeeze fruit.
• I loved to talk to people, wave at the boats, and liked seeing the blue and green birds.
• Once we got back to Grandma and Grandpa's I had string cheese since I was hungry and then watched Strawberry Shortcake before going to bed.

Alyson's Antics for the Day

I said:

• "I'm going to be brave and ride the monster house ride but I'm going to hide my eyes" (referring to the haunted house ride at Camden Park).
• "Mommy, I'm going to miss you when you leave."

I did:

• We slept in until close to 10:00 and I ate a leftover Krispy Kreme donut for breakfast.  
• We got ready and went to Camden Park.  I was so excited, especially when I found out my ticket to the park was pink.
• I chose to ride "the log" (log flume) first.  Mommy and I got really wet on the small hill but not the big hill, how strange!
• I rode every ride that I could possibly ride, except The Whip because it was way too loud.  I started holding my ears while in line and I decided I didn't want to ride it. 
• Grandma was surprised how brave I was since I wanted to ride some of the really high rides. 
• I quickly fell asleep once back in the car after I had cooled down a bit. 
• Once back at Grandma's and Grandpa's house, we rested a bit and then ate a yummy pizza from Lorobi's.  I was a little disappointed that there wasn't breadsticks or pineapple on my pizza, but after I tasted how delicious it was, I didn't care.
