Alyson's Exciting Events of the Day:

  • I did not want to get up this morning!
  • It was raining when we left to go to Ms. Cheri's.  Mommy said, "It's raining" and said "Whoooo!" when she carried me to the car, so of course I repeated what she said.  She wonders if I'm going to say "whoo!" every time it rains from now on.
  • I was super excited to see Mommy this afternoon. I grinned from ear to ear and started jumping up and down.
  • Ms. Cheri told Mommy that I spent most of the day picking up the tiny pieces of grass that had been tracked into her house... she says I'm going to be a good house cleaner...  Mommy hopes so!
  • When I got ready to leave Ms. Cheri's I ran over and blew a kiss at Baby Peyton.
  • Daddy decided that we needed to go to Buffalo Wild Wings tonight to support the Martinsburg High Theater Troop.  I ate my usual... yummy mac-n-cheese.  Delicious!  When the food came and it was time to pray for dinner, Daddy and Mommy reached out their hands to me like they always do and I grabbed Mommy's but hesitated to grab Daddy's... I had to readjust the green crayon that I had just been using and had just laid down.  It was not perfectly lined up with the other crayons.  Once I moved it slightly, I was okay to hold Daddy's hand and pray.
  • After stopping at the store to get milk and bananas (the two things we can never have enough of in our house), I had a bath and played a little bit before bed.
  • For the past few days I have been telling every one to "Sit Down!" when I point to or pat where I want them to sit.  Mommy and Daddy think I am super cute when I do this, though they say my tone is a little bossy, whatever that means!

May 13, 2012- Happy Mother's Day!

Alyson's Exciting Events of the Day:

  • I woke up at 7:00 and played and watched TV (PBS Kids) with Mommy until everyone else woke up.
  • When Daddy woke up, he had me carry three cards to Mommy for Mother's Day- one from me (I colored inside it and she loved that), one card from the kitty cats, and one from Daddy. She was surprised the kitties remembered today was a special day.
  • Grandma fixed breakfast-  I ate boiled eggs and biscuit (even had applebutter "dip" for the biscuit).
  • I wore lots of beads while Mommy and Daddy started packing to get ready to go back home.
  • I slept from Charleston until Mommy had to stop in Beckley to pick up t-shirts for school.
  • We had a yummy meal at Chili's in Beckley before traveling closer towards home.  I even got to sit in a booster seat for the first time (the last few minutes) when a baby at a neighboring table needed the high chair.
  • Daddy decided to stop at Lost World Caverns so we could see two guys named Mr. Steve. They have a very cool place with a huge wheel turning out front and a shop full of beautiful and fun toys. There was so much to look at, but I enjoyed following the dogs and petting them more than anything else.
  • The rest of the trip home was long but I'm glad to be spending tonight in my own bed.

Alyson's Exciting Events of the Day:

  • Woke up and had play time with Daddy this morning.
  • Once Mommy, Grandma, and Grandpa woke up, we got ready to go to the East End Yard Sale in Charleston.  On the way there, we stopped at Tudor's Biscuit World and I ate an apple biscuit... YUM!
  • Mommy, Grandma, Grandpa, and I spent about 4 hours walking around Charleston, going from house to house looking at what people were selling.  Grandma and Mommy bought me quite a few things (toys, clothes, etc.).  During the walk, I saw lots of dogs, a kitty cat, and even the Chick-fil-a Cow!  I ate a hot dog and chips for lunch while we were shopping.  I even took a nap in the stroller for about an hour of the shopping time.

Napping in the car with my book
Alyson's Exciting Events of the Day:

  • Woke up again in the middle of the night.  This time I went back to sleep a little easier than last night.
  • Mommy surprised me and picked me up early from Ms. Cheri's, even before lunch and my nap.  I was so excited that I jumped up and down and smiled from ear to ear.  Mommy took me out to eat for lunch...  I ate grilled cheese and fries and drank milk (some even got all over my shirt).
  • On the way home from lunch, I fell asleep in the car with my book on my lap.  Mommy let me sleep for a while, but then we had to pack the car to get ready to go see Grandma and Grandpa.  While Mommy was packing she let me watch kitty cats and Elmo videos on the television.  She asked me if Elmo was my friend and I simply blew a kiss at him.  I hope that answered her question.
  • I slept nearly all of the way from Winchester to Elkins, then stayed awake and ate and looked around for the rest of trip.  Daddy and Mommy sang songs with me and I sang sometimes too!
  • I was so excited to see Grandma, Grandpa, and Lucy...  They were all excited to see me too!
  • I did not want to go to sleep tonight.  I fought it and fought it!  Mommy and Daddy are hopeful that I will sleep through the night tonight (we'll see!).

Alyson's Exciting Events of the Day:

  • Had a rough night/morning...  woke up at 1:00am and did not want to go back to sleep no matter what tricks Mommy and Daddy tried.  Finally, Daddy and I fell asleep in the floor of my room for the last four hours of sleep.
  • Woke up with Daddy at 5:00am then cuddled with Mommy and Daddy until they woke me up to get ready.
  • Was happy to go to Ms. Cheri's house but was disappointed that I couldn't see any cows this morning.  I kept saying "Moo!" and pointing toward the door, but there were none to be seen.
  • Ms. Cheri said I enjoyed having Travis to play with today.  I enjoy saying his name, A LOT!
  • When Annie's mom showed up, I was very disappointed that it was not MY mom.  I cried because I was so sad that Mommy wasn't there yet.
  • I was carrying my lunch bag around when Mommy finally picked me up.
  • After Mommy picked me up, we made a stop at Ms. Maranda's house to visit a few people.  We sat outside on her back patio and I got to meet and play with Sadie (Maranda's dog).  She licked my face and I threw the ball for her to fetch and chased her all around the yard.  I also enjoyed saying her name over and over again.
  • Mommy and I shared dinner and I ate LOTS!  One whole chicken tender, fries, fruit, cookies, milk, and then Daddy had to give me even more fruit... Daddy says it must be a growth spurt!
  • Mommy and Daddy are hoping that my last set of teeth are coming in since my eventful night last night, runny nose, crankiness, and I was even holding my jaw this evening.

May 9. 2012

Alyson's Exciting Events of the Day:

  • I rubbed my eyes a lot and stretched and whined when Mommy and Daddy said it's time to get up this morning.
  • Keegan and I played with my puzzle blocks today at Ms. Cheri's, not just making a puzzle, but also stacking the blocks too!  I also read my Animals on the Farm book (with sounds) to Baby Peyton.  I'm such a good friend!
  • Daddy fixed yummy lasagna for dinner with breadsticks.  I asked for more and when Mommy said, "more of what?" I pointed to the lasagna section of my plate and said "this!"  Needless to say, Mommy got me more.  I'm a great eater and I love lasagna!
  • I found a page of stickers and took it to Mommy and said "sticker" so she gave me one...  she asked which one I wanted and I pointed to the fish.  Mommy said his name is Nemo (I'm not sure what kind of a name that is, but she acted like I should know him).  She put the sticker on my hand and I got upset and didn't want it there.  She took it off and handed it to me and I put it on my palm and inspected it more closely.  I even tasted it (and got in trouble).
  • I did more breathing treatments today.  I'm getting pretty tired of them, but I have a feeling this is becoming a habit that I won't be able to stop anytime soon.  At least my nebulizer puppy friend is cute and Mommy usually lets me watch kitty cats ("meow meows") while we do my treatment.

Alyson's Exciting Events of the Day:

  • Slept great again.  When I woke up, Daddy and I had some play time before Mommy got out of bed.  Daddy even fixed pancakes for breakfast.  As soon as he put the plate in front of me with the pancakes, I moved the pancakes to the side and said "Dip!  Dip!" and pointed to the part of my plate where I made room.   Of course by dip, I meant syrup.  I ended up with syrup in my hair because I placed my hands behind my head at one point while taking a break from eating.  Mommy and Daddy had to give me a bath later to get the syrup out.
  • After Mommy woke up, she ate her pancakes and I acted like I was starving to death, so she shared her pancakes with me.  She didn't know I had already eaten two whole pancakes with Daddy earlier.
  • Gemma and I played in the living room and foyer.  I got my blankie and covered Gemma with it and said "nite-nite" and even once or twice I laid my head on the blankie too.  I even sushed Mommy when she got too loud since it was Gemma's nite-nite time.  When Gemma got up and moved, I tried to pick her up to move her back but Mommy told me not to.  She eventually came back to the blankie and we repeated this game over and over again.  Mommy says that Gemma is so patient!
  • After a little more play time and bath time, Mommy and Daddy took me to Ms. Sierra's house to spend a few hours while the went to a movie...  they never got to celebrate Daddy's birthday since I got sick, so they spent a little time out today.
  • After Mommy and Daddy picked me up from Ms. Sierra's house, we went to vote.  I haven't missed a single election since I was born.  I'm such a responsible citizen!  Then, we went to Las Trancas for dinner.  YUM!
  • Lastly, we stopped at the grocery store where I got a free cookie for being so cute (Daddy was jealous!) then we headed home to do my nebulizer treatment before bed.
  • It was nice to have Mommy and Daddy home a little more than normal today since they didn't have school.  We sure needed the extra rest time after such a crazy weekend!
