Alyson's Exciting Events of the Day

  • I had a rough night last night... I was restless and woke up a few times.  I spent most of the night in Mommy and Daddy's bed.  Daddy let me sleep until almost 6:30 this morning, then we had to rush around and get ready.
  • On the way to Ms. Cheri's, I said my ABCs, well at least, "A, B, C, D..... (some mumbling).... W, X, Y, Z"  Mommy and I also sang some songs too.  I was so excited to get to Ms. Cheri's that I yelled, "Yeah!  Cheri's!" when Mommy pulled into her driveway.  I went inside and immediately started playing and jumping.  Cheri said she could tell that I was feeling better than yesterday.
  • After a busy day of playing with Payton and Keegan, Mommy showed up to take me home.  I was happy to see her.  Keegan had just finished talking to me about being Mommy's helper (with help from Ms. Cheri) when Mommy got there, so I was ready to help Mommy by carrying my lunch bag to the car for her.  Other than a quick detour to say hi to the cat, I got right in my seat without a fight this afternoon.  Mommy was very thankful since she had a long day.
  • Once at home, I cuddled up on the couch with Daddy for about half an hour or more and watched an episode of Curious George.
  • We went to McDonald's for a quick bite of dinner and ate next to Ronald McDonald... he's kinda scary.  Mommy wanted me to sit by him for a picture, but I was too scared.  Even with Mommy holding me, I was still nervous. I went over and sat with a random girl at her table at the window, so Daddy took my picture.  I LOVE McDonalds ketchup, even better than the fries... I kept dipping my fingers in the ketchup cup then licking them and then repeating, sometimes with no fries involved.
  • We stopped by the Storys house for a few minutes to visit, then Mommy and I headed home and ate some ice cream and relaxed before bed.  It's been a long week... I'm ready for the weekend!

Alyson's Exciting Events of the Day

  • Daddy didn't wake me up at 6:00 like he normally does on days when I'm going to Ms. Cheri's.  Instead, Mommy woke me up at 6:30 then we got ready.  She thought I might have needed some extra sleep after a long weekend.  Daddy helped get me dressed, but he didn't look like he was getting ready for work.  I think he's going to stay home today since he's still feeling a little rough.
  • I was a little clingy toward Mommy once we arrived at Ms. Cheri's, at least until Keegan showed up, then I didn't care at all that Mommy was leaving... we were too busy playing with the piggy.
  • I took a two hour nap and the only issue I had all day was my nose would not stop running.  I'm not sure what's going on, but it's getting annoying.
  • When Mommy pulled into the driveway, I jumped up and down because I was so excited, but then I didn't want to leave.  I even said, "Stay at Cheri's!" in the whiniest, crying voice possible once I was in the car.  Mommy felt really bad, but said we had to go home to check on Daddy and see Gemma and Cameron.  I cried and whined nearly all the way home, then once I was at home with Daddy watching Curious George, I was perfectly content.  Mommy and Daddy worry that I feel a little bad so they let me rest a little tonight.
  • Mommy closed herself in the bedroom upstairs and Daddy wouldn't let me go see her.  He kept telling me to be quiet and every time she would peak out of the room, she had her laptop and a headset on her head.  Daddy said something about her having a class, but she never left the house, so I don't exactly understand what she was doing.  While she was upstairs, Daddy fixed dinner and we ate it.... It was so yummy!
  • I played a little, but mostly relaxed with Daddy.  For fun, I put a sticker on Mommy's belly, then put it on Daddy's next.  I also tickled Daddy's belly, even saying "tickle, tickle" while he was on the phone.  After bath time, I took a little extra medicine to hopefully keep this snottiness away.  Then, it was bedtime.
  • Hopefully we all feel a little better tomorrow!

Alyson's Exciting Events of the Day

  • I slept in until about 8:30 this morning, then cuddled with Mommy for a few minutes longer before heading downstairs for breakfast with Daddy.
  • After getting ready, we headed out to camp to pick up a few things from Uncle Chris before he left to go back home.  We rode in a strange truck and Mommy was driving it.  Daddy says we borrowed it from Mr. Les and Ms. Jan since Daddy's truck is still not fixed.  While Daddy helped Uncle Chris put some things in the truck, I played on the playground with my cousins and their friends.  It was fun!  I'm glad the slide was dryer than it was yesterday!  The girls showed me a new trick that Mommy was not happy about... they showed me how to go down the slide on my belly and backwards.  Mommy quickly told me no and that I could only go down forward on my bottom, but I was still trying to be adventurous.  Also while we were there, Aunt Candy showed me a beautiful butterfly that had landed on their truck and I didn't understand why I could hold it.  I just wanted to feel it like I did the lightning bugs, but she said I would hurt it.  I did enjoy watching it for a few minutes before going back to play.
  • After helping Daddy unload the truck, we went for a quick ride in the car and dropped Daddy off at the doctor's office and then went back to get him about two hours later.  Hopefully his medicine will make him feel better.... I hate to hear him coughing and am sad that he hasn't felt like playing with me.  While Mommy ran into the drugstore to pick up Daddy's medicine, I stayed in the car with Daddy.  I got bored, so I took off one shoe and sock, put a bracelet on my leg, and also put a band-aid on there too.  Then, I decided I needed a nap.
  • Mommy and I spent the evening grocery shopping, playing at the house, watching a few episodes of Curious George and Martha Speaks (Marta! is what I call it) while Daddy rested.
  • I'm looking forward to seeing my friends at Ms. Cheri's house tomorrow.  I missed them today!

Alyson's Exciting Events of the Day

  • I slept in until 8:15 this morning.  Mommy and Daddy were very happy, but that didn't give us much time to get ready to go to camp for church.  They trusted me to be the alarm clock.
  • Once we got to camp, I did not want Mommy to leave me in my class.  I recognized the room as soon as we got there since I had been there two times before (Friday and Saturday nights) and immediately starting clinging to Mommy.  I knew that if I got distracted with the toys or other people that Mommy would sneak away like she did before, so I kept one hand on her and an eye on her too.  When Ms. Sierra showed up to help, Mommy thought it would be easier to sneak away since I'm used to staying with her, but no.  Finally, after about 15-20 minutes, Mommy snuck away even though I was screaming and crying.  I only cried for a few minutes, then started playing.
  • When Mommy picked me up from class, it was raining again.  She had me wear my rain jacket and hood, but that didn't last long.  I kept taking it off.  Mommy let me play in the rain for just a little bit since it wasn't raining hard.  I rode the big wheel, kicked the ball, and even played on on the playground for a few minutes.
  • At one point, Mommy, Daddy, Major Story, and I stopped and said a prayer for Pawpaw.  I'm not sure what's going on, but I know Mommy was glad we all prayed for him.
  • Daddy wasn't feeling too well, so we headed home after a little bit of play time.
  • Once at home, I took a three hour nap!  Playing with my outside is exhausting!
  • After my nap, I played with Zeke, Aunt Candy and Uncle Chris's dog who is spending the weekend with us while they are at camp.  We chased each other around the living room, foyer, and kitchen.  I also played with some of my toys and watched a few episodes of Curious George.
  • Daddy spent a lot of time in bed and is coughing a lot today.  I hope he feels better tomorrow.  I missed playing with him.
  • Uncle Chris came and picked up Zeke this evening.  I will miss having a little dog around to play with.
  • Before bed, I decided to try to stick a sticker on my belly.  Mommy says I'm silly.

Alyson's Exciting Events of the Day

  • I slept in until 7:45 this morning.  Mommy was thrilled!
  • After she helped me out of bed we had breakfast and watched Curious George with Uncle Chris and Aunt Candy's dog, Zeke.  Mommy washed some dishes and worked on a few other things while Zeke and I hung out on the couch.  I love petting him.  At one point when Mommy was in the other room, she heard me say something about treats so she peaked in the room and caught me giving Zeke three treats since I could reach the box of treats.  She let me give him one but took away the other two and moved the box out of my reach.  I took a label/sticker off of some wipes and wore it around on my leg as a big sticker.
  • Mommy and I showered and got ready for the day.  Mommy put a Mountaineer cheerleader outfit on me and I said I'd rather wear the hippo shirt, then as soon as she changed my clothes, I wanted to wear the cheerleading outfit and was yelling, "MOUNTAINEERS!"  She had me wear the hippo until we were ready to leave the house, then she changed me.  I ran around the house yelling, "Let's Go Mountaineers!"
  • Mommy, Daddy, and I watched the first half of the game and b-dubs while eating lunch.  I ate all but two noodles of my mac-n-cheese and some fries!  I was such a good eater.  I did manage to get a lot of the extra cheese from my mac-n-cheese and some of my chocolate milk on my cheerleading outfit.  Hopefully it washes out!
  • For the second half of the game, we went to Chip's brother's house to watch it.  I helped myself to the salt and vinegar chips and even tried a garlic olive and wasn't too sure about it (kept licking it and making horrible faces but trying it again anyway).
  • After the Mountaineers won (and I gave lots of high fives), I went home and took a late two hour nap before heading back to camp.  I slept through some pretty good storms and was surprised to see the ground wet when we headed to camp.
  • When we got to camp, I went straight to my class since Mommy  had to go to a meeting.  I had fun playing and made some new friends.  When Mommy and Daddy picked me up from class, I got to ride around on the motorcycle (big wheel) and run around.  They really didn't let me play on the playground since it was so wet from the storms.  I really hope I get to swim in the pool tomorrow.  It makes me sad to walk by it and not be able to get in it.
  • I spent a lot of the day counting (ducks, cars, toys, anything I could count).  I can currently count from 1 to 3 and from 6 to 10... there is something about 4 and 5 that cause me problems.  Most of the time today my counting was, "1, 2, 3, 9, 10."
