Alyson's Exciting Events of the Day

• I woke up about 6:10 and got myself out of bed.  Mommy helped me downstairs then Daddy fixed me a bowl of cereal with milk... YUM!
• Daddy dressed me in rainbow pants and a red shirt.  Mommy thought I looked silly, but Daddy thought I was cute.
• I pointed out the moon in the sky to Mommy as we got in the car to go to Ms. Cheri's house.  Mommy told me it was a waning crescent moon.  Once we started driving, I said, "Where moon go, Mommy?  Where moon go?"  I was worried because I couldn't see the moon any more. 
• Once at Ms. Cheri's, I got my Elmo Christmas book and played with the flaps, talking about the Christmas tree at the star on top, then I laid on it trying to push down all of the flaps.  When it was time to go, I gave Mommy a kiss and hug and said, "Bye Mommy."
• Courtney, Ms. Cheri's daughter, bought me a Christmas present.  It was a cute white pony in a pink bag with a comb and carrot.  It was super cute!  Courtney couldn't wait to give it to me.  I loved it and was very polite and said thank you.
• Mommy picked me up a little early then took me home to Daddy while she went to a meeting. 
• I ate dinner with Daddy, then once Mommy got home, we put up the Christmas tree together.  I helped get the ornaments out of the rubbermaid tub then helped put them on the tree.  I ended up with my own corner of ornaments, 10 total on just two branches!  Mommy thought I did a great job!
• I got two presents in the mail today from Mawmaw and Pawpaw Marcum but Mommy and Daddy wouldn't let me open them yet. 
• I found some animal stickers in my #11 stocking today.  I enjoyed putting them on my hand then on Daddy's arm while getting my medicine before bed.
• I'm glad to be feeling better.

Alyson's Exciting Events of the Day

• It was a very foggy, dreary morning.  It would have been a good morning to stay in bed, but I was excited to go to Ms. Cheri's, especially since I didn't get to see my friends, Payton and Keegan on Friday.
• I was excited that I took a box of tissues to Ms. Cheri.  I even had to try one once she opened the box, even though I really didn't need one.
• I shared my Elmo Christmas book and Elmo doll with Ms. Cheri, Keegan, and Payton today. 
• I jumped up and down when Mommy showed up to take me home.  I asked her if we were, "going to Mommy's school?" but she said we had to go home. 
• I played with Mommy's whistle and ID badge on the way home.
• Once we got home, Daddy had nearly finished cooking dinner.  I was very cranky while we helped him finish cooking, then ate a yummy dinner of roast beef, mac-n-cheese, and veggies.  Delicious!
• After dinner, I played a little, then helped Daddy with dishes.  I made a huge mess of myself, covered in bubbles.  I love washing dishes with Daddy, especially when he blows bubbles for me to play with.
• After reading a couple of books, getting my medicine, making a pile of blankets in the floor, taking a silly picture of Daddy, then reading another book, my favorite, "We're Going on a Bear Hunt," it was time for bed.

Alyson's Exciting Events of the Day

• I woke up around 6:30 and didn't want to cuddle with mommy and daddy. Daddy went downstairs with me. We cuddled on the couch, shared breakfast, and watched Curious George. Then we showered before mommy got up.
• Daddy dressed me in a beautiful Christmas dress and then we headed to church. Daddy let me try to hold an umbrella since it was raining but I couldn't keep it over my head and I kept getting wet. Daddy finally just carried me to keep me dry.
• I played in the nursery with the girls from church and took photos with Natasha's phone.  I even took a picture of my cup with their camera.  I told Natasha, "This needs batteries it doesn't work!" when holding her phone.  I helped sing the baby to sleep too.  After church, I got to run around the church and help Rebekah turn off the projector and roll up the screen.
• Daddy and I hung out all day. We started with exercising. I danced around with daddy, even tried to put on the Zumba belt, and then did stretches and tried to do pushups with him. I kept climbing under him as he did his pushups and side planks. Then, he fixed grilled cheese and mac-n-cheese for lunch before I took a nap.
• After my nap, I carried dolly downstairs with me. I helped daddy organize shoes and carry stuff upstairs. I also tried on hats I found in the bedroom.
• After mommy got home, we read a lot of books together. I also practiced counting in English and Spanish, I even said some of the Spanish numbers before daddy.  He was surprised I remembered them.  Daddy tried to teach me about the different types of coins in my piggy bank. I just liked placing the coins back in my bank.

Alyson's Exciting Events of the Day

• I woke up at exactly 6:00 this morning.  Mommy was not amused but got up with me anyways.  She fixed me yummy cinnamon toast and we ate and cuddled on the couch.  Mommy kinda napped a little off and on while we cuddled.  It was so cute.
• Once Daddy woke up he had to leave to go to collect toys for The Salvation Army at Wal-mart.  So, Mommy and I cuddled some more and I played with my kitchen, sat in the window reading my books, rode my bike, made a "tower" out of play-doh and even made a big "snowstorm" in the house with the shredded paper I dug out of the shredder while Mommy was fixing lunch.  Mommy made me clean up the mess but she helped me.  I think she thought it was funny (and frustrating too!).  After eating about half of my lunch I spilled the rest on the floor, on the old furnace grate.  I cleaned up what I could, but Daddy will have to finish the rest since I couldn't reach it all.  I found a dum-dum in my candy bucket and Mommy let me have it.  After a couple of licks I said, "YUM!  My favorite!" so Mommy asked me what flavor it was.  I said "oranges" (Mommy said it was peaches).  I ate almost the whole thing before dropping the rest on the floor then said it was "dirty." 
• When Mommy tried to get me to nap, I made sure to cover my bear, giraffe, and Dolly with separate blankies, then even covered Mommy with a blankie while she laid in the floor beside me.  It took a while, but I finally fell asleep. 
• After my nap, Mommy and I had a quick snack then went to Charles Town to see Daddy and take him food since he was hungry.  I helped him with the toys even though he wouldn't let me play with them.  I waved at people who walked by and even blew kisses at a couple of them.  I even dance to some of the Christmas songs Daddy was playing on his iPod.  When an upbeat version of "God Rest You Merry Gentleman" (by MercyMe) came on, I started dancing and said, "My favorite!"  You can tell I feel a lot better today. 
• After about an hour with Daddy, we went back home for a little bit, then met Daddy at the church to help unload the toys.  I played with Rebekah while Mommy helped Daddy and the Storys move the toys into the big truck.  There were lots of toys and I kept wanting to play with them.  When we got ready to walk back home, it was sprinkling rain.  I looked up and said, "snowstorm!"  Mommy laughed at me.
• Once back at home it was time to cuddle with Daddy then time for bed.
• Here's hoping I feel even better tomorrow!

Alyson's Exciting Events of the Day

• I woke up before midnight having a coughing spell.  Daddy decided to come get me to see if I  and Mommy, but I couldn't get comfortable.  Daddy ended up taking me downstairs where we spent the night cuddled on the couch.  When we woke up this morning, I was still coughing so Daddy decided I needed to stay home and he stayed home with me.
• We had to run to Daddy's school real quick to drop off work for Daddy's students and then came right back home to spend the day resting.
• We cuddled on the couch and watched a little television, read books, and played some.  I got the shawl that Mawmaw made and placed it over my Elmo plane then got on it.  Later in the day, I placed it over a box with my book on top and called it "my tower." 
• I didn't eat much food, but Daddy kept making me drink juice and water and I did a lot of breathing treatments today.
• Once Mommy got home, Daddy had to go so I spent the evening with Mommy cuddling a little more on the couch.  Mommy loves that I like to hold onto her hand or finger when we sit together.  It makes her feel special.
• Tonight, I had gummy snacks in my number 7 stocking and I kept wanting to take a drink of Mommy's tea. 
• I helped Mommy with the laundry.  I helped her pick up all the dirty socks and put them in the laundry basket to take downstairs and then helped her put them into the washing machine.  Once the laundry basket was empty, I decided to play in it then lay down in it. 
• Right before bed when I was getting ready to go upstairs, I ran over to Gemma and gave her a big hug and kiss. 
• Mommy and I read a couple of books.  While reading my numbers book, I counted the things on the pages.  I'm getting better at counting... even counted from 1 to 13 (only skipped the number 5).  Mommy thinks I'm so smart!
• (While Mommy was typing this, I climbed out of bed and started talking and running around upstairs...  Mommy was able to hold me and run my back and get me back to sleep pretty quickly).  Here's hoping for a better night's sleep...
