Alyson's Antics for the Day:
I said:

  • "Mommy, I had a good dream..."  When asked what the dream was about, I responded, "Once upon a time there was a girl and boy.  They were walking with their dog and cat.  Then they went for a walk with their bird.  The end."
  • "Lucy (Grandma and Grandpa's dog) is like Lucy in the baby class at my school.  They both have gold hair."

I did:
  • Ate two breakfasts...  cereal and pancakes.
  • I got presents from Grandma and Grandpa's trip.  They got me exactly what I asked for, a pink dress.  I also got a pirate shirt, a pink and purple sparkly dress, a Bahamas shirt, and a bookmark.
  • Grandma, Mommy, and I went to a place called The Clay Center where they were having an Eggstravaganza.  I participated in an egg hunt, got candy, got my face painted, made bunny ears, dyed Easter eggs and played lots of fun games.  My favorite part was the ball pit where the buckets carried balls to the top and "rained" them on the ball pit.  It was so much fun and I made myself very tired turning the wheel to help the buckets climb to the top.  Mommy said we would have to go back sometime soon to see the rest of the exhibits, since we didn't have quite enough time to play with everything today.
  • I fell asleep in the car on the way back to Grandma and Grandpa's house.
  • I picked dandelions and violets from Grandma's yard and put them in a row all the way across the top stop.  I was so proud of it.
  • Alice visited and gave me presents and we all ate dinner together.  It was nice!
  • Mommy and I sat and relaxed on the front porch and enjoyed the beautiful weather for a little while this evening.  It was so nice.

Alyson's Antics for the Day:

I said:

  • "Do Grandma and Grandpa know we are coming?"
  • "Are we almost to Grandma and Grandpa's house?" (I asked MANY times as we drive to their house).
  • "I can't do 90 minutes!"  (when Daddy said we had another 90 minutes left until we would get there).
  • "It's not me!"  (when Daddy said "I hear growling" while driving to Grandma and Grandpa's house... The dogs were growling).

I did:

  • I wore a beautiful sparkly shirt to school.  I got lots of compliments.
  • Daddy picked me up from school.  I had been invited to both Lucy and Olive's houses to play.  Mommy and Daddy are so happy that I'm making such good friends at school.
  • I was surprised to find Mommy, Littles, and Indy in the car.  I was super excited to go see Grandma and Grandpa.
  • I was impatient during the trip but was excited about seeing the windmills at Mt. Storm during our trip.
  • I fell asleep about an hour from Charleston and slept until we stopped to visit Dave and Andrea since that is where we found Grandma and Grandpa.  I was so tired when we got there that nearly the entire time cuddled with Mommy.

 Alyson's Antics for the Day:

I said...

  • "I'll pay for it." (When asking if we could go to Chuck E. Cheese.)
  • "It tastes like sugar." (When describing what my lollipop from Chuck E. Cheese)
  • "Look Mom, I'm Santa Claus." (While putting a little Play-doh on my chin like a beard)

I did...
  • I woke up and got out of bed before daddy was ready to wake me. The early morning light makes it harder for me to sleep in.
  • Daddy took me to Chuck E. Cheese after school. I paid for it out of my piggy bank money. I spent a lot of time playing with a little girl and we even danced to "Head, shoulders, knees, and toes" with Chuck E. Cheese. I got a lollipop with the tickets I won.  I had so much fun!
  • At bedtime, I wanted Mommy to put me to bed, but she explained that she had to do some packing.  When she reminded me that we are going to Grandma and Grandpa's tomorrow, I couldn't contain my excitement.  I squealed and kicked my legs.  I can't wait!

Alyson's Antics for the Day:

I said...

  • "It smells like strawberries" (when smelling the pink flowers).
  • "Can we watch Dorothy for a few minutes?" (referring to The Wizard of Oz).

I did...
  • I wore my "Sweet" pink shirt with the kitty cat to school.
  • As soon as I got to school, I told Ms. Patty about how I hurt my eye.  Mommy thinks I was trying to get some sympathy points.
  • When Mommy picked me up, I showed her the bulletin board in my classroom.  She was excited to see the flowers we had painted during school today on the board.  She asked me what I had eaten for lunch and I couldn't remember, so I had to ask my teacher, Ms. Jessica.  Ms. Ashley told Mommy I was a great helper today and she appreciated how good I was today.  Mommy was proud.
  • I went to Chick-fil-A and ate dinner and played with Gabriel.  There were lots of kids from Mommy's school, so I think it was some sort of special event.  I had so much fun, but was sad to leave.
  • Daddy took me to go to a meeting.  I tried to be good, but was whiny.
  • When I got home, I asked to watch Dorothy, so we watched a little bit.  Mommy's surprised by how much I remember about what is happening next while watching.  I have a great memory and it helps I have seen the movie MANY times.
  • At bedtime, while looking for my Very Busy Spider book, I found two different copies of Daddy's favorite book, Wacky Wednesday.  Mommy said it must really be Wacky Wednesday if there are two of the same book!  How silly!

Alyson's Antics for the Day:

I said...

  • "It smells like vanilla" (referring to the white flowers in front of the house)... Mommy thought it was interesting that the purple flowers "smelled like purple" but the white flowers "smelled like vanilla."
  • "Does bees wear shoes?" (while holding her bumble bee paper bag puppet that she made at school).

I did...
  • I was exhausted when Daddy woke me up.
  • I wore my purple bunny shirt this morning with my monster coat.
  • Mommy picked me up and I asked her why she was "late" not realizing she was not late, but later than normal due to work.  I miss her when she is working.
  • At home, I was surprised to get an envelope in the mail.  It was a bunny card and a beautiful necklace with Tinkerbell.  I felt like a princess with it on.  We sent my cousin Sherry a picture to say thanks for the beautiful gift.  I also asked Mommy to send a picture to Grandma.
  • I asked Mommy and Daddy to go to Ms. Sierra's tonight instead of trivia at Buffalo Wild Wings.  Luckily, Ms. Sierra was free for me to go visit. I had fun playing with the girls and running around and being silly.  I did get a boo-boo on my eye running into the tv stand, but a little candy and ice made it feel better.  Mommy also gave me some "liquid medicine" at bedtime to help.

Alyson's Antics for the Day:

I said...

  • "This is my horse trailer" (while pulling my pop up tent behind me through the house).
  • "I want Mommy!  Daddy didn't do the right thing after reading books...  he didn't give me a drink" (when asking Mommy to finish tucking me in to bed).

I did...
  • Mommy woke me up and got me ready this morning instead of Daddy.  I wore my "Super Sweet" shirt, but I was anything but sweet this morning.  I had a meltdown on the porch leaving the house because it was raining and I needed my hood on my head, but it was stuck in the back of my jacket and I refused to let Mommy help me.
  • Once we got to school, I had another meltdown when the boy who was going into school in front of Mommy and I got to ring the doorbell instead of me.  I cried and cried and cried.  Ms. Patty had to end up holding me while Mommy left for work.
  • When Mommy picked me up from school, I told her all about playing a game called musical chairs and even demonstrated how it worked before we left the classroom.  The teachers enjoyed seeing me act and get so excited explaining it to Mommy.
  • I was so happy Daddy was home... he acted like he missed me too.
  • I had so much fun at dance and we were so good that we got to play animal freeze tag two times.  I sang one of the songs we danced to in class to Mommy all the way home in the car.
  • At home, I had another meltdown with Daddy while he was fixing dinner.  Mommy's hoping I'm just a little extra tired and not getting sick since I've been so whiny lately.
  • I played with my tent and my stroller before heading to bed.
