Alyson's Antics for the Day:

I said:

  • "I didn't want you to look at my pictures!" (screaming at Mommy because she got my papers out of my cubby at school just like she does everyday).
  • "Do you want to pet my puppy?  He's nice...  His name is Happy Lover.  He's a girl." (talking to Mommy, referring to the colorful stuffed puppy dog that I had put in my toy dog carrier).
  • "Shhh!  Me's already asleep!" (as Daddy told me "I love you" at bedtime).
I did:
  • I woke up so tired.  We didn't sleep so well last night.  Mommy wonders if the medicine is making me have bad dreams or something.
  • I was so excited Olive was already at school when we got there.  I hardly noticed Mommy leave.
  • When Mommy picked me up, the teacher told her I had been more emotional than normal today then I proceeded to show Mommy what she meant before even getting out of the building.
  • At home, Daddy already had dinner fixed, then we went outside.  Mommy seemed excited to do some things in the backyard with me.  She said it was Earth Day.  We made pine cone/peanut butter bird feeders which was fun.  I wanted to keep checking on them after we hung them up, but Daddy warned me I would scare away the birds.  I collected things from the yard and made my own picture by gluing them down.  I made a "bird with a beak."  When Mommy asked what kind of bird, I said, "a cardinal!"  Mommy made a robot out of paper/cardboard we had around the house.  I told her it looked like me.  She also bought flower seeds for us to plant, but we didn't have time before the rain rolled in.
  • Mommy and I got soaked getting out of the car at Buffalo Wild Wings for trivia even though Daddy was nice enough to let us off at the door.  I made lots of people smile while we were there.  They love me at trivia!

Alyson's Antics for the Day:

I said:

  • "I'm too sick to go to dance, hear this... (cough, cough, cough)."  When Mommy told me I couldn't go outside and play if I was too sick for dance, I told her, "I'm feeling great now!"
  • "How did Daddy make this so cheesy?"  (referring to the shells-n-cheese Daddy cooked for dinner with our grilled hot dogs).
I did:
  • I woke up coughing and coughing and I was so tired!  Daddy dressed me in my new Bahamas shirt (thanks Grandma and Grandpa!).  When Mommy asked if I wanted to stay home, I told her that I wanted to go to school.
  • I got sympathy from my teachers this morning since I was coughing and was upset that my friend, Olive, wasn't there yet when we got to school.  I wanted Mommy to stay until Olive got there, but she said she had to go to work.  My medicine must have kicked in before lunch because the teachers gave me a breathing treatment close to lunch and then said I hardly coughed after that.
  • I tried out my new playground (the part that Daddy had already fixed).  It was fun trying out the new slide before getting dressed for dance.
  • We had some drama when we couldn't find my ballet slippers, but Ms. Kayla wasn't too mad that I didn't have them for class.  I demonstrated some of my dance moves for Carol after class.  She thought I was too cute!
  • At home, we ate dinner (thanks Daddy!) and then I played on the rock wall part of the playground that Daddy had fixed.  I can't wait to see how much fun it will be when it is all fixed!
  • I tried out my shark toy in the bath tub.  It was super loud and fun!  I played with my Leapfrog Pen and book before bed.
  • Hopefully I wake up with less coughing tomorrow morning.

Alyson's Antics for the Day:

I said:

  • "Just what I wanted!" (while hugging my unicorn that was in my Easter basket).
  • "I named her Super Love...  Super Love Henry because she is so nice" (referring to my new unicorn).
I did:
  • I woke up and couldn't wait to check my planted jelly beans to see what grew.  I put my hands over my mouth and gasped as I saw the dum-dums sticking up out of the soil.  I was a little upset that the sticks got dirty, but Daddy cleaned them for me.
  • I also had a bag to open from the Puffinburger family.  They are so nice to me.  It was loaded with toys and candy and even an owl plate, bowl, and cup.  I loved it!
  • Carol also had given Mommy some candy jewelry to give me, so I was super excited about that too!
  • I wore my beautiful dress to church this morning with my sweater and necklace.  I felt beautiful and twirled in my dress.
  • I made Mommy and Daddy an Easter card during church and we had an Easter egg hunt after church.  I found lots of eggs!  Mommy was a little upset since her camera on her phone wasn't working during the hunt, so Mr. Ted and Daddy took pictures for her.
  • During my afternoon nap, I coughed and coughed and coughed.  Mommy started getting more worried.
  • Daddy came home with a playground set on the top and inside of the SUV.  He said it needs a little work before I can play on it, but I'm super excited about it.
  • Mommy took me to a different doctor today, someone other than Dr. Wear.  She called the place MedExpress.  The ladies there were so nice and told Mommy that she was right and that all the coughing was just my allergies and asthma acting up.  I got new medicine and hopefully I'll sleep better tonight and be able to go to school tomorrow.
  • Mommy made yummy mashed potatoes and pork chops for dinner.  I kept running my finger on the side of the potato bowl and licking my finger since it was so yummy!  Mommy thinks she might have to make homemade potatoes more often if it causes me to eat so well.

Alyson's Antics for the Day:

I said:

  • "Mommy, sorry I frightened Littles."
  • "Gabriel, we're coming!" (when Mommy was driving to meet him)
  • "Oh Snappers!" (when something didn't work right)
  • "I wonder when the Christmas bunny comes..." (at bedtime)
I did:
  • I woke up and relaxed in bed with Mommy and Daddy a few minutes until it was time to get up.
  • Mommy got me ready and took me to Winchester to see the movie, Rio 2, with Gabriel and his family.  It was so funny.  My favorite parts were when they were flying and dancing.  After the movie, we had a dance party at the front of the theater during the credits.  It was fun!  I was super excited during the previews to see that there will be a new animated Wizard of Oz movie next month.  I can't wait to see it!  Mommy also said that the original Wizard of Oz will be playing on the big screen at the theater next month too!  During the movie, I grabbed a pencil and paper and wrote my name all by myself.  I had trouble with the "S" but tried anyway.  Mommy seemed very surprised I was so good at writing my name.
  • On the way home, I told Mommy a silly Knock, Knock joke.  It was so silly she had to video it to send to Grandma and Grandpa.
  • After we got home, Daddy, Mommy, and I walked to Daddy's school for an Easter Egg Hunt.  There were so many people there and it was crazy, but I got 24 eggs all by myself.  I was super excited!
  • After a nap and lunch, we played and cleaned a bit at home.  I put on a puppet show for Mommy and Daddy.  I used the wheelie suitcase with a blanket overtop for my "stage."  Daddy used a pillow to hide his hand behind.
  • After dinner, I spent a few hours with Ms. Sierra and her family. We went for two walks and they played "hairstyles" with my hair.  It was fun, but I missed Mommy and Daddy.
  • Back at home, we planted jelly beans in a pot in the window.  Mommy says that one night a year planting jelly beans will give you a special surprise.  We will have to wait until tomorrow to see what the surprise is and to see what the Easter Bunny left me in my Easter basket.  I also can't wait to wear my beautiful dress to church tomorrow for Easter Sunday.
