Alyson's Exciting Events of the Day

I said:

"Daddy gotta get me a pig?"  (When Mommy told me Daddy would have to buy me a peg to go with my monster-sized horseshoes).

"Lets play friend share. "  (Sharing my rock with Mommy like we share toys at school).

"Who's hazel?"  (When talking about the color of my eyes).

I did:

Woke up, got dressed, woke up Grandma and Sherry, then headed to the East End Yard Sale in Charleston. We stopped and got apple biscuits on the way.

We had fun going to all the different sales.  I picked a few toys and books and got some clothes too. We had such fun!

Daddy picked me up so Mommy, Sherry, and Grandma could keep shopping.  We ate lunch and had a nap.

After nap, we went to Chuck-E-Cheese and had so much fun!

We had dinner at Grandma's and Alice joined us. Daddy and I entertained everyone with a puppet show in the new hanging puppet theater Daddy bought me at the sale today.

It rained off and on and we saw a double rainbow over grandma's house. It was beautiful and I was so excited to tell everyone and got everyone to come out in the rain to see the rainbow too.

Sherry and I read books at bed.

Alyson's Exciting Events of the Day

I said:

"Daddy do you like chocolate milk?  Do you like beard?  What else do you like?"

I did:

Made Mommy a Mother's Day card at school.

Mommy, Daddy, Indy, and Littles picked me up from school and we headed to Grandma and Grandpa's.

After watching a movie, playing flappy bird, whining, and refusing to sleep, we finally made it to see Grandma and Grandpa and Sherry.

Alyson's Antics for the Day:

I said:
  • Me:  "Push me real low." (while on the swing)
  • Daddy:  "No, sweetie, I'm still upset."
  • Me:  "I'll make you happy...  Knock, knock.  Who's there?  Nobody.  Close the door."
I did:
  • I wore my cute rocker monkey t-shirt to school.
  • I learned about Mother's Day today and even planted a flower in a cup to bring home to Mommy.  I was excited to tell her Happy Mother's Day and give it to her.  It was even wrapped in my favorite color (pink) tissue paper.
  • We played outside a little while and I even helped Daddy wash my truck and walked my puppy up and down the sidewalk.
  • After dinner, Daddy and I went to Lowe's to pick out flowers to take to my teachers tomorrow to say thank you for them taking care of me.  It was very nice.  I can't wait to give it to them tomorrow.

Alyson's Antics for the Day:

I said:
  • "Mommy, I will call you honey bun."  After Mommy told me that she calls me "honey bun," I told her, "I will call you honey and you can call me honey bun."
  • Too many other funny things for Mommy to keep track of.  I was super silly today!

I did:

  • A good night's sleep did wonders!  No coughing and great sleep.
  • Daddy dressed me in my cute dress and fixed my hair because it was picture day.  I know Mommy wished she could get me extra beautiful for pictures, but due to testing had to go to work extra early.
  • My teacher told Mommy I was very good today (little attitude and less emotional than yesterday).
  • Mommy was so proud of me that she took me to Chick-fil-A for dinner and to play.  I was having fun in the play area until a boy started being mean.  I told Mommy he was hitting and grabbing me.  I went back in a few more minutes, then came back out with my shoes to tell Mommy he was still not being nice.  Mommy told me she was proud of me for telling her when something like that happened.  We got a milkshake and then came home.
  • Mommy and I both colored pictures with chalk on the sidewalk.  Mommy, of course, drew a tree, so I drew one too.  I told Mommy it was a picture of "Spring" (tree, blue sky, pink person playing outside, and a big sun).
  • While outside, we played with bubbles, danced and sang, and even found a very cool flower (the stage between a yellow dandelion and a "blowy flower").
  • Once Daddy got home, we cuddled on the couch, tried on my new bee costume (75 cent bargain from the weekend yard sale) and relaxed a bit until bed time.

      Alyson's Antics for the Day:

      I said:
      • "Mommy, we really need to go to the store... we are running out of things.  No muffin tops, no chocolate milk, no juice!"

      I did:

      • I didn't sleep so well last night...lots of coughing.  Mommy had to give me multiple breathing treatments during the night.  Luckily, I was coughing less when Daddy woke me up this morning.
      • I had two breathing treatments at school which seemed to help out a lot. I was coughing very little when Mommy picked me up, but I was upset and had tears in my eyes.  Ms. Ashley told Mommy that I had just had a "coloring incident" in which another student had used the orange crayon that I had wanted to use (even though there were other orange crayons to use).
      • I had a sticker on my shirt reminding Mommy and Daddy that school pictures will be tomorrow.
      • I wrote my name on a birthday card then delivered the card and birthday balloons to Daddy when we got home from school.
      • I played a few minutes in the yard at home with the puppies and ate an apple before heading to Ms. Sierra's to spend a couple hours while Mommy and Daddy played trivia to celebrate Daddy's birthday.
      • I colored with chalk and played with bubbles outside while at Ms. Sierra's house.  It was fun!

      Alyson's Antics for the Day:

      I said:
      • "Uno, Dos, Tres, Cuatro, Cinco." (while counting for Mommy as she tried to explain Cinco de Mayo to me while leaving school).

      I did:
      • Daddy let me sleep in a little this morning, but I was still tired.
      • I got to wear my cute new NYC shirt that Mommy had bought for me.  I loved it!
      • At school, I got purple yarn that I told Mommy was to bring home to my cats, but she isn't really sure about it.  The teacher told Mommy that I didn't nap at all today, mostly because of my cough.  Mommy's worried about my allergies acting up again, so we went home and had a breathing treatment before dance class.
      • I had fun at dance class and enjoyed watching a big truck moving dirt and rocks after class.
      • As we got in the car to go home, Mommy pointed out the dark clouds in the sky.  I compared it to the sky on The Wizard of Oz...  Mommy told me if we ever see a Twister like the movie that we need to run.
      • At home, I got to play a few minutes outside before the rain started then Daddy grilled dinner outside in the rain for us to eat.  I didn't eat a single bite of my food and only wanted to cuddle on the couch.
      • I got lots of different medicines (breathing and liquid) before bed.  Mommy and Daddy are both hoping I feel better when I wake up tomorrow.
