Alyson's Antics for the Day


I said:

• "It's not a circle, it's an oval." (to Mommy when she said the fireworks made a circle shape)
• "Why are those circles there?  Maybe there are weasels who live close by that go into them?"

I did:

• I hollered for Mommy close to 7:00 this morning, but went back to sleep with her until 10:00.
• We had a lazy morning, then went worked on trimming the vine on the porch and cleaning up out front.  It was a cool day, so we took advantage of that and worked outside.  I was a big helper and used the broom and dustpan to help clean up.  I then took a break and rode my bike up and down the sidewalk.  We also played with chalk for a little while.
• After a late lunch, I took a late nap.
• We got showered and dressed and went to Chip's brother's house for a picnic and to swim.  Mr. Chip let me swim with him and it was so much fun.  I shot baskets and swam around.  After swimming and eating, I jumped on the trampoline with the big girls, then got all of them to help me catch lightning bugs.  They were so nice to me. 
• We ended the night watching fireworks.  I like watching them from far away much better.  When we got too close to them, they were too loud and all I wanted to do was cling to Mommy.  They were very beautiful and exciting!

Alyson's Antics for the Day


I said:

• "Let it go!  Let it go!" (singing many, many times during the car ride with Grandma and Grandpa, then again on the car ride with Mommy... even sometimes singing it in funny voices while making faces)
• "Mama, you're my favorite mama in the world!" (while cuddling on the couch with Mommy)
• "I will name him Fluffy SnowPhone" (referring to a pound puppy that I dug out of my toy bin)

I did:

• I got up and got packed and ready to go for a car ride to meet Mommy.  I was so excited.
• I entertained Grandma and Grandpa on the way there.
• When we met Mommy, I was so excited to see her!  The dogs were happy too.  We still had another long car ride home, but I kept Mommy awake.  I told her all about what I did with Grandma and Grandpa and how Grandma was mean, but said I would miss her.
• On the way home, I took a couple of pictures and videos with Mommy's phone.  I even learned how to send one or two to Daddy.  It was a great lesson.
• Once we got home, I was so excited to see Gemma and Cameron. I was also excited to see that we had new roses growing beside the house. 
• I went outside with my bug house (and my froggy rain coat).  I caught a lightning bug before 6:00... must have been confused by the dark clouds.  In the process of catching one lightning bug, I got bit by about 5 other bugs... no fun!
• Mommy and I went to the grocery store and I wore my froggy rain coat because it was raining (barely).
• At home we cuddled on the couch and watched an episode of Curious George, half of Lilo & Stitch, and Despicable Me before bed.
• I'm glad to be home.

Alyson's Antics for the Day


I said:

• I said many silly things today, but Grandma didn't jot any down to remember.
• When I talked to Mommy and Daddy on the phone, I kept telling them, "I just wanted to tell you that..."  (mostly talking about being a big girl for Grandma and Grandpa and that I missed them).

I did:

• I got up with grandpa.
• Played a couple of games on the iPad.
• Ate lasagna for lunch.
• Took a great nap.
• Got ready to go to dinner with David and Christian, his grandson.  Andi couldn't join us because they just got a new dog.  I ate a chicken quesadilla, tomatoes, and fries and entertained the whole table (and probably the restaurant).
• After we got home I worked my puzzle books as well as listened/watched my show (Grandma says I'm a good multitasker).
• I had a snack and then talked to mommy and daddy on the phone.
• I went lightening bug hunting, but they must have been asleep. We didn't have any luck.
• I will see Mommy tomorrow.  I'm very excited!  I've missed her!

Alyson's Antics for the Day

I said

"Next time we go to Camden Park I am going to be brave and go in the 'Monster House' again. That's Momma's favorite."

Things she did:

Got up first time before 5:00. Grandma was not happy and said it was too early. I went back to bed for a few more hours. 

Got up with Grandma while Grandpa stayed in bed. 

Watched a few shows and then after lunch and a nap, grandma and grandpa took me to the mall to see the finished giraffe made out of balloons. 

Before nap I was afraid to see the giraffe. After nap I said I was brave and wanted to see the giraffe. 

After we got home, I played in the sprinkler for a while and then the pool.  I gathered water in my ball and watered grandma's flowers. 

Megan and Rick came by and since there was a new audience, the tricks began. The loved seeing my tricks!

Had a good dinner and then went out to catch lightening bugs.
