Alyson's Antics of the Day:

I said:
  • "Hi.  I'm Alyson."  (walking up to a little girl in Target).  She responded by telling me her name then saying "I love you."  I didn't know how to respond.
  • "Can I sit next to you?" (to a little girl outside of Sweet Frog...  her Mommy got up out of the seat next to the girl so there would be a chair for me next to her).

I did:
  • I woke up before 7:30 and after a brief cuddle in bed with Mommy and Daddy, I was ready to get up and start my day.
  • Daddy did some cleaning while I ate my breakfast and watched a couple of cartoons.
  • After Mommy woke up, she and I got dressed and ready to go shopping and to eat lunch.
  • We had a yummy lunch at Habanero then went to a few stores to find decorations for my Frozen birthday party.  Mommy told me my birthday is in 6 days and my party is in 7 days.  I can't wait!
  • After some shopping, we went back home for a nap then we cooked dinner (I put on my apron to help) and then we did a little more shopping.
  • We ended the evening with a quick treat at Sweet Frog.  I made friends with a 2 year old girl named Aubrey.  We chatted while we ate our desserts.
  • Back at home, it was time to unwind, take medicine, and head to bed.

Alyson's Antics of the Day:

I said:
  • "Mommy, come see my board to see how I did today" (walking Mommy back to my classroom to show her my smiley face on the board).
  • "Daddy, guess what I did at school today...  I got a smiley face!" (on the phone with Daddy on the way home from school).

I did:
  • Daddy woke me up and immediately started getting me ready for school.  I didn't even get to rest on the couch like usual.  He did let me pick out my dress and I chose the pink and purple island dress that Grandma and Grandpa gave me.  We left before Mommy so we could stop and get donuts since it was Friday.  I had the chocolate iced glazed donut with no sprinkles.  It was delicious!
  • At school, we played outside not just once, but two times!  And I was a super big girl and got a smiley!
  • Mommy picked me up then we picked Daddy up and went to Chick-fil-A for a quick dinner and to celebrate me being a good girl... Luckily for me it was free chocolate milkshake day, so I got a special treat too.
  • After stopping by the house to change clothes and pick up a few snacks and my letter practicing cards, Mommy took me to Ms. Sierra's house to spend the evening while she worked the football game and Daddy had opening night for Les Miserables at the theater.  I was surprised to see another little girl there when I arrived, but she didn't stay too long.  I did help entertain her.
  • I went shopping with Ms. Sierra and her family and told them I wanted nearly everything in the toy section.  They thought I was silly.
  • By the time Mommy picked me up, I was sound asleep.  She carried me straight from the car to bed.
  • I'm so glad tomorrow is Saturday and I can sleep in!

Alyson's Antics of the Day:

I said:
  • Me- "I want to go hunting."  Daddy- "Why do you want to go hunting?"  Me- "I want to see the deer, please."
  • "Mommy, I have an idea... we can go home and cuddle without Daddy.  Isn't that a great idea?" (whispering in Mommy's ear at dinner)

I did:
  • I was so excited to see Mommy when she picked me up, but I had a straight face today, not smiley and not frowny...  I told Mommy I hadn't been listening and following directions all of the time.
  • Mommy took me home then had to go back out for a meeting.  I stayed and relaxed with Daddy.
  • When Mommy got home, we went to go eat.  We went to Logan's since we hadn't been there in a long time.  I like that place since I get to eat lots of peanuts, rolls, butter, and they have great mac-n-cheese.
  • After dinner, I had to stop and "take a break" on a bench outside before getting in the car, so Mommy was sure to take a few pictures of me.
  • At home, we were all so tired... we watched the movie, Hoodwinked together...  Mommy slept through it all on the couch.
  • After medicine time, it was bedtime.
  • I'm so glad tomorrow is Friday!  We are all exhausted!

September 10, 2014

Alyson's Antics of the Day:

I said:
  • "Mommy, I was a good girl at school today.  Mommy I got a smiley!"
  • Me- "When I get bigger, can I have a baby?"  Mommy- "What do you mean bigger?"  Me- "Someone I can be a big sister to and help take care of"   Mommy- "What would you name this baby?"  Me- "WHISKERS!"  Mommy- "Are we talking about a cat or a baby?"  Me- A baby!  Mommy- "Does whiskers make sense for a baby's name?"  Me- "NO!  That would be silly!"

I did:
  • I wore a beautiful dress that Mommy bought me while we were at Grandma and Grandpa's house.  I felt like a princess like Elsa or Anna!  We only had a minor meltdown at home when I couldn't find my white sandals and Daddy told me I would have to wear shoes that wouldn't look so nice with my dress.
  • I had a great day at school and even got a smiley face on the board.  Mommy and Daddy were super proud of me.
  • Daddy picked me up and then Mommy picked me up at the house and took me shopping for my dance clothes then to dance class for my first Tiny Tots ballet class.  I've moved up a class from the one I took last year so I now have to wear pink instead of purple.
  • After class, I changed back into my dress to go to Chick-fil-A.  We ate and I got to play in the new play area.  It was a little different but still very fun and there were other kids to play with me.
  • After dinner, we came home and go into comfy clothes and watched a little bit of Shrek the Musical.  I did use masking tape to make a gate in the doorway for Mommy to go under.  I made her go under it many times until it was time for bed and I took it down.
  • At bedtime, we read two books then it was lights out.

Alyson's Antics of the Day:

I said:
  • "I think I'm going to get married when I get really tall." (to Mommy while walking out of school... Olive had been talking about having a wedding with a boy in our class as we left the classroom).
  • "I can jump three miles away!  That one was big... I just jumped 10 miles away... like a kangaroo!" (while watching Wild Kratts).

I did:
  • Daddy put my hair in a ponytail again today (two days in a row).
  • I had fun at school, but got a frowny face.  I wasn't listening to directions or following them.  Mommy was disappointed.
  • She had planned to take me to get my dance clothes for tomorrow's class, but since I wasn't a good girl, we didn't go.  She also had planned to take me to Chick-fil-A for a few minutes since someone from her school was there making balloon animals, but I wasn't allowed to do that either.  :(
  • After dinner at home, we drove to Shepherd to play games with some of the APO people.  I was confused as to why the college kids had been using sidewalk chalk (to advertise APO).
  • I got to sign my name on a few people's human bingo cards then practiced writing my name, even very silly once (the "O" was a circle around the other letters and I drew a heart on top), while Mommy and Daddy played a card game with the college kids.
  • Once at home, Mommy and I got comfy and cuddled on the couch.  We were both tired and Mommy still is fighting her cold and needed rest.
  • I was a super helper and helped Mommy give Littles her medicine.  I'm a great big sister to Littles.
  • I miss Daddy while he is at rehearsal, but the good news is, he's almost done!

Alyson's Antics of the Day:

I said:
  • "It looks like a circle!  I want to go home and see it through my telescope!" (referring to the moon while we were in the car)
  • "Mr. Calvin is my friend now.  And so is Ms. Sierra and Ms. Emily and the other Ms. Emily."  When Mommy asked who the other Ms. Emily was, I laughed at her and said, "there is no other Ms. Emily!  Ha!  I got you!"

I did:
  • I wore my "Elmer the Elephant" dress (patchwork of colors) to school today.
  • I was a super big girl and got a smiley!  Mommy was so happy!
  • Mommy surprised me by picking me up from school.  I was expecting Daddy to pick me up.
  • Mommy grabbed me dinner and took me to Ms. Sierra's house for a bit.  After she picked me up, she told me that she and Daddy had taken Littles to the doctor.  I hope she is going to be okay.
  • Once we got home, I visited with the pets, took my medicine, watched a tiny bit of television during my medicine then headed to bed.  Mommy did have to snap a few pictures of me for the blog right as I got ready to climb into bed, even though I had a little chocolate ice cream on my face.  Oh well!
  • We are all exhausted and are hoping for a restful night tonight.

September 7, 2014

Alyson's Antics of the Day:

I said:
  • "I want Doc McStuffins panties!" (when Mommy brought me my Doc McStuffins pjs but Sophia the First panties)

I did:
  • We all slept in a little longer than planned, so we were in a little bit of a rush to get to church.
  • I wore a pretty new denim dress with a yellow ribbon belt that I tied all by myself.
  • I played with Ms. Sierra and Tori during church.  We had lots of fun.
  • After church, I fell down while walking home and skinned up my knees and hurt my hands a bit.  At least I had some cool band-aids.  Mommy even got me even cooler band-aids later in the day when she went shopping.
  • I chose to go to Ryans for lunch.  It was delicious!
  • After a nap, I played a little then went to CVS with Mommy.  The lady there gave me a blue lollipop which I loved, even though it turned my mouth blue.
  • I helped Mommy with laundry and cooking pumpkin muffins.
  • We called Grandma and Grandpa to wish them a happy Grandparents Day.  While talking to them, I built a "fort" of pillows and blankets and kept having Mommy take pictures to send to them.  They thought I was silly.
  • After my bath I had a treat of a muffin with icing (more like a cupcake).  It was delicious!!!
