Alyson's Antics of the Day:

I said:

  • "Is Grandma at Santa's workshop?"
  • "It's getting night time outside (getting dark) so it's almost time for the Christmas party... I'm so excited!"
  • "Carrots!" (when entering the room in the middle of prayer at the Christmas party, causing quite a few giggles).

I did:
  • I had a restless night (and so did Mommy) but I still woke up a little earlier than Daddy had planned.
  • We ate breakfast, had a bath, then got dressed in my beautiful new Christmas dress.
  • At church, all of the little girls were wearing beautiful dresses like me.  Ms. Sierra helped us make reindeer for a craft in the nursery and it was so much fun.  I loved it!
  • After church, we went to Pizza Montese where Daddy fixed me a big plate of spaghetti and a slice of pizza... Mommy immediately worried about the white sleeves of my dress, but I pushed them up and didn't make a mess of them at all.
  • On the way home, Mommy told me that Grandma was hanging out with Santa, helping him out.  She showed me a video Grandma had sent of Santa talking to me.  I didn't know what was going on at first and seemed to be in shock, but after watching it over and over again, I got more excited about it.
  • Once we got back home, Mommy and I took a long nap.  My doll, Snoopy, and Dolly slept with us too.
  • After a little relaxation time, it was time to get ready for the YoungLife Christmas Party.  I couldn't have been more excited, especially when Mommy told me there would be other kids to play with there.  I even squealed loudly since I was so excited.
  • I got lots of compliments on my dress.  I ran around and around with my new friends.  I even wore a headband hat for a little of the evening.  There was a room with a chalkboard, so I had fun writing on it too and even played some of the games with the big kids.  It was super fun!
  • It was bedtime when we got home, but I had to do an extra medicine tonight since I've been coughing a lot.  Mommy and Daddy are hoping I sleep a little better tonight.

Alyson's Antics of the Day:

I said:

  • "I wish that we were at Grandma and Grandpa's house so we could go to Camden Park" (Mommy later explained that it was too cold and that Camden Park isn't open this time of year).
  • "It tastes like yucky bananas" (referring to my Albuterol inhaler that I have avoided up until today, always reverting back to the nebulizer instead).
  • "Does Santa have a cousin?" (to Mommy as we walked through Gabe's while we were shopping).
  • "Does it sound like an angel singing?" (to Mommy as I played the piano... not singing).

I did:
  • I let Daddy sleep in until almost 8:00, then we got up and went downstairs.
  • Mommy woke up and she and I had a date with Gabriel, his Mommy, and Santa Cow at Chick-fil-A.  We had so much fun eating, making a craft, and playing in the play area.
  • We came back home and relaxed and ate lunch before nap time.  Mommy and I cuddled together, but I didn't sleep much which means Mommy didn't either.
  • We visited with Daddy a little before he had to leave again to go ring the bell for the Salvation Army.
  • After Mommy and I ate dinner at McDonald's, we took hot cocoa to Daddy at K-mart where he was ringing.  We also had hot cocoa too.  He even let me ring the bell, but after about 20 seconds, I was done.  I was getting too chilly.
  • Mommy and I went shopping at Gabe's.  There was way too much to look at, so we ended up staying there nearly an hour!
  • We came back home and relaxed a bit.  I had another "cuddle party" with my animal friends and played and watched a little television.  Mommy and I also made a funny JibJab video of the three of us.  It was super funny!

Alyson's Antics of the Day:

I said:

  • "I'm sorry Mommy"  (when Mommy picked me up for the second day in a row).

I did:
  • Daddy was surprised when he turned on the light in his and Mommy's room and found me cuddling with Mommy this morning.  I had a bad dream and Mommy had come to get me and put me in bed with her after Daddy had already left bed this morning.  Mommy and I love cuddle time.
  • Daddy got me dressed quickly so we could go get donuts on the way to school.  I love Donut Friday!
  • School was fun, but I had trouble listening to my teachers, especially when it came to my desire to run around the classroom.  I ended up with a straight face today on the board and a note written in my book to Mommy and Daddy.  I was sad to tell them and they were a little disappointed, especially since I got a frowny yesterday.
  • Mommy picked me up and brought me home then we went to Ms. Sierra's to play with her, Emily, and Zoe while Mommy and Daddy went to a Christmas party for Mommy's work.  It was so much fun playing with them!  Ms. Sierra even had a new ball for us to play with in her hallway and it was super fun!
  • Mommy and Daddy picked me up late and I admitted that I was very tired, so after medicine, I went straight to bed.
  • Mommy has something fun planned for us tomorrow.  I can't wait!

Alyson's Antics of the Day:

I said:

  • "I'm sorry....  I'm so sorry, Mommy!"  (to Mommy when she picked me up and I had gotten a frowny face today).
  • I'm glad you picked me up... you're my friend Mommy." (to Mommy when she picked me up at school).

I did:
  • Daddy dressed me in a cute pink snowman/snowglobe shirt, but before we got out of the house, I told him it was "stabbing me" and I had to change.
  • I had fun at school, but got in some trouble.  My teachers had written a note to Mommy and Daddy that I wasn't very nice to my friends, wasn't sharing toys, and was arguing and talking back to friends and teachers.  They were so unhappy when they found out.
  • As soon as I got home, I sat in timeout crying for what seemed like forever.  I had forgotten that I couldn't get out of timeout when I was crying.  After a long talk with Mommy and Daddy about my behavior, they decided to still let me go to the Be-Hive to make my snowman craft today, thank goodness.  I was afraid they wouldn't let me go.  I had a great time and loved the snowman and play time there.
  • Daddy decided he wanted wings for dinner, so we went to b-dubs.  I didn't get to play the claw machine since I wasn't good today, but still had fun playing puzzles and making cute unicorns on the game boxes with Mommy.
  • Once at home, I cuddled with Mommy a few minutes before Daddy put me in bed early.  He's hoping a longer night of sleep will help me be a better behaved girl tomorrow.

December 3, 2014

Alyson's Antics of the Day:

I said:

  • "My brains are scared!" (while climbing across from the chair to my ladder of my bed, being my typical daredevil self).
  • "My butt was laughing" (while giggling...  Mommy asked what that meant and I told her it was going up and down when I laughed).

I did:
  • I wore a beautiful pink shirt and jeans to school today.  I looked super cute.
  • I had a great day at school with a smiley and nothing but positives from my teachers.
  • Daddy picked me up and we came home and it was nice enough weather for me to ride my bike up and down the sidewalk.  He was surprised that I was able to pedal myself up and down the sidewalk and to even turn myself around while pedaling.  He was super impressed!
  • We ran some errands, stopping at different stores, then he took me to Chick-fil-A, my favorite!  I even got to play in the play area and got a board game to take home with me.
  • When Mommy got home, she and I played the animal board game on the floor.  We had to send Indy and Littles outside since they wanted to play with us.  I beat Mommy and it was a super fun game since we got to learn about different types of animals and even got to act like the animals.
  • Before bed, Mommy showed me an advent calendar she bought me today... It had Mickey Mouse and I was super excited.  She thought I needed this since I keep asking how many days until Christmas and what the days (ex. December 3rd) means.
  • At bedtime, I was super silly and had a tough time calming down... Mommy thinks it might have been the advent calendar candy...  she might be rethinking the timing of it for tomorrow.

Alyson's Antics of the Day:

I said:

  • "ABRACADABRA!" (when hiding the dime I had found under the trivia paper).
  • "Mister Monkey Hands, Miss Monkey Colorful, Mister Monkey Climbers,..." (when trying to name my new monkey toy)...  "He can do a somersault because he's a gymnastics monkey!" (I explained to Mommy and Daddy).

I did:
  • Another sleepy morning, and a yucky wet one outside.  Had it been a degree or two colder, school would have probably been cancelled, but the roads were just wet.
  • Daddy let me wear my new slippers today, but warned me that wearing them outside might get them a little dirty.  I was okay with it so he was too.
  • At school, we learned about the letter D and had a great day.  I got a smiley and couldn't wait to tell Mommy about the new letter we learned.  I told her the sounds it makes and she asked about a student in my class who has a name that starts with a D and I immediately said, "Douglas!"  She seemed impressed.
  • Mommy and Daddy fixed us a quick dinner and we relaxed a bit, coloring and watching Curious George before heading out.
  • I was glad it was trivia night, because I love all of the attention I get there.  I get lots of high fives, smiles, people coming over to talk to just me every week, and even get talked to over the sound system by Mr. Harry.  Everyone loves me there!  It was especially great today since I won a toy out of the claw machine...  it was a very colorful monkey and I was SOOOO excited.  I couldn't wait to sleep with it.
  • It was pouring the rain as I got ready for bed.  I'm hoping tomorrow is a much more beautiful day outside so we can play outside at school.

December 1, 2014

Alyson's Antics of the Day:

I said:

  • "I can go two hundred fast with my bike...  See how fast I am!  Make sure you send that to Grandma!"
  • "I can go thirty, forty-one... see I'm that fast!"

I did:
  • I wasn't too happy to have to wake up early this morning.  Mondays are always rough, but especially after a long weekend of sleeping in a little later.
  • I was excited to see my friends at school though and I had a great day and got a smiley!
  • Mommy picked me up and after stopping at the house and changing my clothes, we went to gymnastics class.  Carol even came to watch me and sit with Mommy.  I had to show off and make sure they were watching me.  I did great and am really improving, though sometimes Mommy wonders how well I am listening to my teachers since I seem to be more interested in what everyone else is doing in the other classes.  Luckily my teachers are very patient.
  • On the way home from gymnastics I was VERY whiny.  Mommy even said something about telling Santa.  I wasn't too happy about that at all so I straightened up.  Daddy thinks I'm like Mommy and get very cranky when I'm hungry.  I guess that means I need more snacks, huh?
  • After dinner at home, we spent the evening relaxing.  Dave stopped by for a quick visit and Mommy did a little work on the computer, but other than that, we just relaxed until bedtime.
  • Mommy put me to bed and I came up with two new "ugga muggas" for us to do... one with our foreheads and one with our chins.  Mommy thought I was so silly, but she did it anyway.

My feet are up in the air!
