March 5, 2015

Highlights of My Day:

  • Woke up on my own this morning and joined Mommy and Daddy in bed for another hour.  It was great to sleep in, and to wake up to see snow outside the window.
  • It snowed and snowed and snowed.  So, we just stayed in most of the day cuddling and playing at home.
  • I made "cards" for Mommy and for Grandpa.  Mommy loved her picture in hers.  Grandpa will have to wait to get his in the mail.
  • I opened my own "store" in the living room and even had "sections" for my items (i.e. a paper section, a stuffed animal section, a lotion section, etc.).  I made Mommy and Daddy "shop" at my store.
  • After nap, the snow had stopped for a while, so we put on many layers of clothes and went to Daddy's school to go sledding.  All three of us took turns with the sled.  There were many others there too on their sleds.  The first time down the hill, I rode with Daddy and there was a lot of snow that sprayed in my eyes, but then I got brave and had to go by myself.  We played so long that we took a break in the car to warm up and I had to switch to a dry hat and dryer gloves.
  • Came home and warmed up with some hot cocoa.
  • Spent the rest of the evening cuddling, staying warm, playing ABC mouse, playing with the pets, and alternating between looking exhausted and having bursts of wild energy.  I even fixed Mommy's hair to make her look like a princess (Daddy said she looked like Princess Anna when she woke up).

March 4, 2015

Highlights of My Day:

  • Slept in a little bit since Mommy had a meeting and then she took me to school.  We raced to see who could get dressed the fastest and "I winned!"
  • Had a great day at school today and even got goodbye hugs from my friends in the 3 year old class when Mommy picked me up.  Mommy says I'm very popular, especially in that class of younger kids and my friend Lucy.
  • Went to Chick-fil-A and got to play in the play area with the students of some of Mommy's teachers.  It was lots of fun!  I decided that my waffle fry made a great eye patch and said, "Arrgggh!"  Mommy texted the picture to Grandma and Grandpa and when she told me she sent it to them, I told explained to her, "the picture goes up into space and bounces from there back down into Grandma and Grandpa's phones."  Mommy seemed very surprised that I knew this, but I told her I just knew it!
  • Got chocolate milk on my colorful horse shirt, so I changed into my snow much fun shirt.
  • When Daddy was driving me to Ms. Sierra's house, I noticed a poster in his car.  The poster was for a game called Captain on Deck.  Daddy said it was like Simon Says and I called it "Ship on Deck."  Daddy told me no, Captain on Deck like Captain of a boat.  I told him, "and a deck is where people stand on a boat."  Then I said, "boats are like houses except boats don't have porches, they have decks.  And, houses can't go in water."  Daddy seemed surprised that I was comparing and contrasting like I was.
  • I spent the evening with Ms. Sierra and her family.  I played "hide-and-go-seek ball" and Mr. Calvin gave me clues and I would have to find where he hid it.  He said I was way too good at using the clues to find it and that I'm very smart!
  • Mommy says it's supposed to switch from rain to snow tonight and even said we might get to sleep in tomorrow.  I guess tomorrow morning will be a surprise.  We'll have to wait and see what happens when we wake up.

March 3, 2015

Highlights of My Day:

  • I was exhausted this morning after staying up so late last night at the game and then celebrating Dr. Seuss's birthday.
  • I had a great day at school... colored lots of pages, practiced the letter R, and got a smiley!
  • Daddy picked me up from school and I helped cook dinner.
  • When Mommy got home, I was watching Big Hero 6 for the fifth or sixth time since we got it.  I love that movie.  Daddy called it another Elsa though I'm not sure what he means by that.
  • After dinner, Daddy went to his rehearsal so Mommy and I cuddled.  She took a little nap on the couch while I relaxed and watched a show or two.
  • We played "dollhouse fun" with my baby dolls before bed.  We read them Dr. Seuss books (Wacky Wednesday and The Foot Book), we rocked them, and tucked them into their "crib" (Rubbermaid tub) with their stuffed animals and a blanket.
  • I also found some jewelry that I used to make myself extra beautiful.  I even fixed my own hair!

March 2, 2015

Highlights of My Day:

  • Mommy was so excited to wear her Dr. Seuss shirt today, but was upset I didn't have one to wear to celebrate Dr. Seuss's birthday today.
  • We didn't do anything special for his birthday today, just learned letters like we always do.  Mommy seemed disappointed when I told her that.  She and Daddy were also disappointed that I got a frowny today for not being nice to my friends and for being disruptive and not listening.
  • Daddy took me to "gymnaskits" and I had so much fun.  I'm getting much better at following directions and at doing my tricks.  I can't wait for gymnastics show!
  • Went with Mommy to her basketball game at her school.  I made new friends and entertained myself (and my friends) with a roll of blue tape.  I ate a ring pop that turned my tongue a dark purple/black color.  Mommy said it looked like a licked oil or something.  Mommy's team won their game and it seemed like a big deal.
  • On the way home, I told Mommy that I wanted to learn everything so I can go to kindergarten.  I told Mommy there are rules I need to remember:  "Don't give up, try again,  don't be naughty, stay in line, if a teacher moves you don't eat another kid's food because you might eat his germs, and do what the teacher asks right away."  I also told Mommy a joke, "What does a star say in the middle of winter?  Snow Owl!  That's a joke!"
  • Before bed, Mommy let me wear a Cat in the Hat hat that she got at her school and we read Daddy's favorite Dr. Seuss book, Wacky Wednesday.  I love that book!  As Mommy tucked me in, I told her that I thought I saw God in my room.  I pointed to the corner and said he had flown by.  Mommy asked what he looked like and I said he had purple cloth around him and had and little yellow and orange around him but also said he could be invisible too when going to some kids rooms.  We talked about how he is always with us and how he protects us.

March 1, 2015

Highlights of My Day:

  • Woke up to see everything white outside...  it had snowed!
  • Yet another Sunday without church due to the weather (this is three in a row!).
  • We spent the entire day at home, playing games, watching movies and tv, and playing iPad games and abcmouse.com.  I even got Mommy to play with me and my two baby dolls, Molly and Emma.  She even drug all three of us through the house in one of her big bags.  I told her to use the bag to take us all to the bathroom.  Later, I used the stroller to push them around, then cuddled with them on the couch under a blanket and spent time cuddling with the pets as well, even getting a little too cuddly with Cameron once or twice.
  • It was nice to spend the day in my pjs, only changing clothes after taking a bath and putting on clean pjs.  What a relaxing day!
  • I typed this message all by myself, "alyson 4 OIYTRAS."
