February 20, 2015

Highlights of My Day:
  • I woke up and joined Mommy and Daddy for a little cuddle time until we had to wake up.
  • Daddy took me to get a donut and then I went to school, a couple hours later than normal since it was so cold.
  • Had a great day at school.  I was a super helper to Ms. Amy since she started to leave her bag upstairs, but I saw it and told her so she didn't forget.  I ended up with a smiley...  smileys all week, so I got treats (three pieces of candy) at school today!  I gave one piece of candy to Mommy since it was her birthday then gave one to Daddy and kept one for myself.
  • Mommy and Daddy both picked me up.  I don't think they went to work today.
  • Dinner was way too spicy for me, so I got to eat Daddy's left-over pasta from his lunch.
  • We spent the evening watching Mulan together and cuddling.  Mommy and I played balloon-catch, I played with the pillows and my penguin, and even practiced my writing.  Mommy seemed very proud of me for copying the word "Sprout" from the corner of the television screen to my paper.  She seemed like that was a big deal for some reason.
  • I made up my own version of "Happy Birthday" to sing to Mommy.  She loved it!

February 19, 2015

Highlights of My Day:
  • Got to sleep in a little, then headed to school.  Had a great day!  I even got to stamp the letter Y with yellow paint on a piece of paper.  I think they are trying to help me remember that yellow starts with the letter Y.  I got a smiley and Mommy was super proud of me once again.
  • We came home for a little bit and even got to have a little snack of "Burritos" (Doritos).
  • After a short rest at home, we went to Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner.   While in the car I said, "Mommy's my cupcake full of sweetness."  While at b-dubs, I played my pony game on the games that they have there and even made an "Elsa pony."  I ate yummy mac-n-cheese, fries with ranch, and even tried (and loved) one of Mommy's pieces of chicken with the new "buttery maple" sauce (tasted like yummy syrup!).
  • We stopped at Shepherd for a quick meeting with APO big kids and I got to draw on big paper, small paper, and the big board, and I also got to listen as the group sang an early Happy Birthday to Mommy.  It was funny and Mommy was very embarrassed.  Oh well!  I can't wait to sing to her tomorrow!
  • We chatted with Grandma and Grandpa on the phone.  I told them all about some rhyming words and even told them I was sailing a ship and even had Mommy tell them I was steering my boat from the deck.  I even had "sailors" (two stuffed bears and my Princess Elsa pillow... Elsa even performed!).  I said "Arrrg! starts with the letter R."
  • When talking about the cold temperatures, I used the word "neckative" or "neckid" instead of negative.  I told Mommy and Daddy it was going to be "neckative twenty" tomorrow.  For some reason they thought it was funny.

February 18, 2015

Highlights of My Day:
  • Back to school today... Ugh!  I was so tired!  I did manage a smiley and practiced my full name on lined paper.  Mommy was so proud of my work.
  • When Mommy got to school to pick me up, I was playing with my friend Ellie and we had two baby dolls sitting in the chairs at the table.  I told Mommy that the table was my school and that "I was teaching the kids about Jesus!" ( I said it with such pride and excitement).
  • It was dumping the snow when Mommy picked me up.  She said it was like being stuck in a snowglobe that someone had just shaken up.  I tried catching snowflakes in my mouth as soon as I got outside of the school.  When we got home, Mommy mentioned how this was great snowball/snowman snow, so I immediately grabbed a handful of snow and made a big snowball and threw it right at Mommy while she was trying to open the door of the house.
  • We had such a yummy dinner (tortellini and bread) and even had dessert... a homemade, healthier version of a Blizzard treat.  YUM!
  • While Daddy was at the theater, Mommy and I cuddled a little and I was very silly this evening, even figuring out how to do my gymnastics at home.  Poor Mommy!  I did make Mommy a couple of smiley faces and other drawings that I cut with my scissors as gifts.  Isn't that nice of me?
  • I'm so tired of the cold!  It's supposed to be below zero the next couple of days... UGH!

February 17, 2015

Highlights of My Day:
  • Today was a snow day!  I could've gone to school, but since Mommy and Daddy were able to stay home and since I promised to be helpful and not whine while they got things done around the house, I got to stay home too.
  • I did help clean off "my table" (the coffee table) in the living room and helped a little with laundry.
  • I ate "Burritos" (what I call Doritos) and told Mommy that "My bottom is hilarious!  It shakes when I laugh!  Isn't that funny?"
  • I spent lots of time playing with my balloon (even drew a "minion" on it).  I also made up lots of games today, some made sense, others not so much.  Mommy had a hard time keeping up with my game directions.
  • Daddy and I made a snowman outside and Mommy came out too.  I wasn't as excited about building the snowman, so I made a snow angel and threw snow up in the air so it would fall on me.  Mommy thought I was so silly.
  • I was lucky enough to catch a few of my favorite shows and even got some cuddle time with the pets and Mommy.
  • During my bath, I decided my Minnie doll needed washed too, so I had Mommy put body wash on the washcloth and I wiped her down real good.
  • I practiced my days of the week and my Spanish today.  Mommy and Daddy still think I'm pretty smart and I do too.

February 16, 2015

Highlights of My Day:
  • I went to school today and there were only six people in my class... they said something about it being a holiday.  I made a bracelet (with foam stars and my name) and got a treat (Rice Krispy treat) and got a smiley!
  • Both Mommy and Daddy picked me up from school and it was SNOWING!
  • We spent the evening at home since it was snowing outside.  We took turns watching shows on television.  I got to watch my new favorite show, Miles from Tomorrowland again and didn't even care that it was the same episodes that I just watched a couple of days ago.
  • I cuddled with Daddy and then Mommy and even drew a nice picture.
  • I can't wait to play in the snow tomorrow since we have a snow day and don't have school!
  • At bedtime, I told Mommy, "Good night sweet Mommy" and drew her a quick picture.

Our three (me, Mommy, Daddy) letters and our pictures (with a snowman)

February 15, 2015

Highlights of My Day:
  • I woke up in bed with Mommy.  It was so nice to have a sleepover in her bed while Daddy was away.  She even brought my lantern and put it by the bed so when I woke up, it wouldn't be too dark.  She's so good to me.
  • Mommy made me snowflake pancakes and bananas.  YUM!  I was so excited and even told her thank you.
  • It was so cold and windy outside this morning, so we didn't go anywhere.  We cuddled on the couch and watch television.  I did make a craft or two, even made Daddy a page with Valentine ribbon taped on it to surprise him with when he got home.
  • Dave stopped by and we all went to dinner together at Las Trancas.  I wasn't too hungry, but did enjoy the cheese dip and chips.
  • Back at home, all I wanted to do was cuddle with Mommy, but not sit still.  Mommy thought I had ants in my pants.

February 14, 2015

Highlights of My Day:
  • I was ready for my Valentine present as soon as I woke up... I asked Daddy about it over and over but had to wait for Mommy to wake up.
  • I finally got to open it and was so excited!  I got a Frozen lunch bag that has flashy lights, three minions, a pink unicorn, and even got a sparkly red purse.  I couldn't wait to put my Valentine money from my cards in my purse to go shopping.
  • After Daddy left, Mommy and I spent the entire day together.  We went to Habanero for lunch (Lucy was there!  What a surprise!).  Then we went to the Be-Hive for a tea party.  I served one group their cookies then got to drink tea and eat cookies with Olive (another surprise!)  and her sister during the next group.  It was lots of fun!  Mommy and I also went shopping where I got some fun things [a flashing, spinning Cinderella light, a bag of small unicorns (I said they were the babies of my stuffed unicorn) and I got a Frozen necklace] with my Valentine money (thanks Sherry and Grandma and Grandpa!).  For dinner, we ate a Cracker Barrel... YUM! and then braved the icy roads to get back home.  We spent the rest of the evening cuddling and catching a few shows.
