Memories from Today:

Woke up so tired and slow moving this morning.  Mommy had a super duper headache and ended up going back to sleep for a bit, so Daddy took me to school (I was not happy about it!).  I had a great day at school!

I went to Mommy's office briefly after school, but she still wasn't feeling great, so we didn't stay long... just long enough for a couple more notes to Mommy's friends.

On the way home, I was telling Mommy about learning about synonyms in class.  We practiced a few synonyms before I started getting super silly.  Mommy couldn't help but giggle when I told her "the wind" and "the sun's farts" were synonyms.  I couldn't help but laugh too!

We watched one of my movies that I got from Redbox while eating dinner.  Mommy and Daddy thought it was horrible, but it wasn't too bad.

Mommy rested on the couch while Daddy and I went to church.  I got some special one-on-one play time with Tori which made my night!  I love when I get her undivided attention!

My clothes are laid out and ready for school tomorrow.  I decided that my kitty mood shirt will go perfect with my emoji leggings!

Memories from Today:

Today, I woke up excited for the 100th day of school.  I couldn't wait to wear my 100 day shirt, but had to wait until we got out of the house to put it on.  It is covered in colorful feathers and my little kitty friend, Tini, thought it was a toy for her!

I helped Mrs. Clark get her classroom ready to celebrate 100 days of school before heading to my classroom.

I had gym class today and turned in my final Jump Rope for Heart money.  Thanks so much to all who donated!  I ended up over my goal, raising a total of $300!  I should get to throw a pie at a teacher at an upcoming assembly!

After school, I helped Mommy get a few things ready at her work. I mostly wrote notes to a few people who work with Mommy.  They love getting notes from me!

We went to church thinking there was youth meetings, but there wasn't.  At least I got to visit with Tori and her friends for a few minutes before heading home to eat dinner.

It was a long day!  Mommy must have had a long day too, especially since she fell asleep on the couch and was so exhausted she didn't even wake up to go to bed!  (Note from Mommy:  This would be why the blog is a day late.)

Memories from Today:

Other than a brief coughing spell in the middle of the night and feeling super tired this morning, I felt better when I woke up.  Mommy stopped and got me a donut and tea for breakfast (just like her).  YUM!

School was great!  We went to computer class (I love that class and teacher!).  After school I was surprised to see Mommy waiting for me outside of her school.  She must have seen me coming over with Mrs. Clark.  We spent nearly two hours in her school. She had work to get caught up on and I entertained anyone and everyone I could find.  I especially liked visiting the counselors... they have fun toys and puzzles in their offices that I can play with.

Mommy and I finally went home.  We ate dinner and relaxed a bit with Daddy.  After dinner and a little rest, Daddy and I played my Scooby Doo video game together until nearly bedtime.  When it was time to go to bed, I decided that I needed "butter bread" for my bedtime snack.  I'm such my Mommy's little girl!

Mommy didn't take pictures of me today, but don't fear, tomorrow is the 100th day of school... there will be several pictures!

Memories from Today:

Church day!  Had a great time playing with my friends... even got to show them my big, colorful slinky.

We had DQ for lunch (my choice).  I even got a sundae.  It was delicious!  Mommy said I had "a sundae on Sunday!"

While Daddy did some work at the theater, Mommy and I did a little shopping.  I got a new Clue game and two new stuffed animals at Goodwill.  Then we went grocery shopping.  My cough was getting a little worse, so we only stopped at Redbox to grab a movie then headed home to do my breathing medicine.   I haven't had a fever all day, just a little bit of a snotty nose and cough.  Mommy thinks it is just the change of weather... at least she hopes so!

I spent the evening cuddling on the couch watching Despicable Me 3, eating lasagna, and playing Scooby Doo video game with Mommy until bedtime.

I'm so happy to have Mommy home.

Alyson's Exciting Day

·Dad woke me up earlier today so I could get to school earlier. That made me happy. On the way to school, we stopped and grabbed me a cinnamon twist for breakfast.

·After school, daddy and I went to BWW to eat. I played trivia with dad. He gave me all of the answers. We had to leave quickly because dad said he was having an allergic reaction to something in the food.

·At home, we found that Littles had passed away. She had been sick for a while. Daddy buried her in the back yard.

· We played some more Harry Potter to finish the evening. We only have year 7 to complete.

p.s. Daddy and I are okay, even though daddy still has a bit of heartburn

Alyson's Exciting Day

·Daddy picked me up today after school and took me to the middle school. He was having Wyldlife. I helped with the last few games, held up prizes for the raffle, and moved tables back when it was over. It was so much fun and I love being helpful.

·We went to Hagerstown after Wyldlife. Daddy had to take care of some theatre business. We visited to old theatre and the new one. Both of them scare me a little.

·We had white sauce for dinner. Then daddy and I watched a little t.v. and tried to play Harry Potter but the game locked up. It was too late to start over so we gave up.

Alyson's Exciting Day

·I woke daddy up at nine this morning. Mommy was already up getting ready for her trip. I ate a muffin from Panera for breakfast. Mrs. Clark had given it to momma because I missed school yesterday. Dad and I watched t.v. while mommy packed.

·After mom left, daddy took me across the street to ride my bike. We even went to other parking lots close by. I'm getting really good at riding a bike.

·We did some grocery shopping for the week. We just bought a bunch of pasta since dad and I could eat it every day.

·We finished the evening by playing some more Harry Potter.

Alyson's Exciting Day

·I work daddy up around 8:30 this morning. He asked me how I felt. I told him that my throat was still a little sore. We waited awhile and then decided that it wasn't getting better quick enough with rest, cold Gatorade, and medicine so we decided to stay home.
·We spent the day on the couch in the living room. We watched movies and played Harry Potter. Dad showed me how to play 20 questions with Alexa. Then, Alexa suggested Magic Door, a choose your own adventure story game.
·I fell asleep playing games. Dad let me sleep for about two hours. I must have needed the rest. Then we got dressed and went out for dinner. I told daddy that I wanted Panera soup. He got me two cans of Broccoli Cheddar soup from Martin's. It was so good, I ate a whole bowl.

Memories from Today:

Woke up a couple times in the middle of the night whiny.  Ended up in Mommy's bed the rest of the night which immediately made me feel better.

Mommy left me in bed this morning when she went to work. Daddy let me wake up on my own and I was feeling better. He did give me some medicine just in case and took me to school a little late. By the end of the school day,  I was feeling worse. My throat hurt a lot.

Spent the evening cuddling on the couch. Mommy and I watched a bit of tv.  Mommy fixed dinner and I actually ate quite a bit and drank some Gatorade. After Daddy got home,  we played video games until bedtime.

I decided that I really wanted to sleep in Mommy's bed again tonight. Hoping I feel better tomorrow.

Memories from Today:

Snow Day!  How wonderful!  I stayed in my pjs until after dinner!

Spent the day watching television, performing songs (including "It's a Hard Knock Life" (with a broom), playing in my teepee/tunnel/tent with Mommy, and even helping Mommy with laundry.  I was a big helper!

Dinner was one of my favorites... tortellini with tomato and basil sauce and bread... yummo!

Church was fun then it was home in time to get ready for bed.

January 16, 2018

Memories from Today:

Felt strange going to school on Tuesday and having it be the first day of the school week!  I did remember my sneakers for gym class and got my first Jump Rope for Heart prizes today. I was super excited!

At lunch, I got to eat with the "lunch bunch," where a few students eat together with the counselor.  She asked us about what job we want to do when we get older (still a teacher - kindergarten or first grade) and what dessert we would make if we were chefs (chocolate sundae with "whoop cream").  We also had inside recess... I mostly played with play-doh... cutting out little people and making bread rolls to "feed" them.

Mommy took me to Chick fil-a for dinner (my choice) since Daddy had a meeting.  I got a lot of play time in the play area while we were there.

We came home and played in my teepee... even connected my tunnel and tent with it.  I made a scavenger hunt for Mommy and I drew maps to lead Mommy to each clue.  She loves my creativity and was impressed with my map drawing.  I also got my microphone, turned out the lights amd sang standing on the coffee table to perform for Mommy.

Mommy and I cuddled on the couch and watched Moana (mom's choice) until bedtime.  Mommy let me stay up a little later thinking the snow might delay school a bit.  I guess we will see in the morning.

January 15, 2018

Memories from Today:

Loved sleeping in on a Monday!  Long weekends are the best!  Daddy does wish I would sleep in just a little bit longer.

Played video games with Daddy and watched a little tv.  Mommy went to lunch and went shopping with her friend, so Daddy and I hung out at home.

After Mommy got home, she realized I was still in my pjs, but she didn't care.  I had a little play time in my teepee with the kitten (she wanted to climb it), I added a covered entry-way to my teepee with a blanket and stools.  After playing a bit, I asked Mommy if I could ride my bike.   I was shocked when she said yes since it was cold outside.  Luckily I haven't forgotten how to ride, but I did make an effort to avoid the icy puddles.  My stuffed animals enjoyed the ride and I enjoyed the exercise.

Mommy made me hot cocoa when we came back inside... yum!  I watched Willy Wonka while Mommy made dinner.  Such a good movie!

Memories from Today:

I was excited to get a church after I woke up this morning. I got dressed and ready and even wore my Camp Tomahawk shirt. Church was fun, I enjoyed seeing my friends, and I even got to collect the offering.

After church, I suggested that we go to Wendy's for lunch. Mommy didn't complain too much since she could get a frosty to dip her french fries in.

Mommy and I stopped and did a tiny bit of shopping on the way home from lunch. We even stopped by Goodwill where I found a few new toys. Luckily I had my wallet with me and could buy them. I got a new teddy bear, a small kite, and a huge rainbow slinky. I couldn't wait to get home to try on our stairs!

I spent the rest of the afternoon and evening at home. I played with my slinky and surprisingly it would skip a step going down our stairs. Tini was not quite sure what to think about the slinky. I watched a few episodes of my new show and even made up a game for Mommy and I to play. The game involved a life-size game board that I made out of construction paper down the hallway. Each player drew two pieces of construction paper one that had a math problem that had to be solved and the other had the number of spaces you could move forward if you got the problem correct. I added a few twists to the game as Mommy and I played. She thought I was pretty creative for coming up with the game and I thought it was pretty fun, other than the animals moving my papers around as they walked by.

Daddy and I ended the evening playing are video game. Sunday nights are so much nicer when you can stay up a little later when there's no school tomorrow.

Memories from Today:

Spent the morning playing video games with Daddy while Mommy slept in.

After lunch, Mommy and I went to the theater to see Paddington 2.  i decided to take my stuffed Paddington bear with me to see the movie too.  The movie was wonderful!  I liked it even better than the first movie.

The rest of the afternoon and evening was spent relaxing, watching television, eating dinner,  and cuddling with Mommy.  I also played with my pets.

I ended the evening with a shower and bedtime snack.

January 12, 2018

Memories from Today:

Tired, but happy today was Friday!

Had a great day at school!  We had our awards assembly and I got a certificate for all As and got a sneaker charm for PE class.

After Mrs. Clark dropped me off at Mommy's school at the end of the day, I showed Mommy how I could look at books that were available in my school library on the school website. I'm really excited about the Rainbow Magic books. I also brought up the engineering contest that Mommy had told me about yesterday. I told her that I had a new idea, about using ink pens that would close themselves. I was thinking about clicky ink pens and sometimes how they're left out and the people using them forget to click to close them and the ink runs out/dries up. I had the idea of designing a pen that would close itself after a period of time if it is not used.

Daddy picked me up from Mommy's school since she had to work a basketball game. We ate pizza and hung out at home for the evening. I missed Mommy, but had fun with Daddy.

I'm glad this is a long weekend!

January 11, 2018

Memories from Today:

Another early morning!  I was so tired when I woke up!  I kept falling back asleep instead of putting on my clothes.  Mommy wasn't to happy with me.

On the way to school, Mommy tried to get me to think like an engineer.  She wants me to think of a problem and to design a solution (draw a picture and write a description). It is part of a contest of some sort.  She thought it was cute that my initial reaction was to design a drone that would record temperature.  She asked me to think of real problems (like at home or school) and gave examples of automatic sinks,  toilets, and lights.  She said I have plenty of time to think about it and need to just stay looking around me for problems.

School was fun and I got to spend time with my friends!  I really wanted to stop by the school playground after school to play with my friend... the weather was actually warm too, but my friend went inside before I could play with her... and Mommy thought it was starting to rain a tiny bit too.

Mommy and I met Daddy at Cici's for dinner. It was delicious!  And I won a squishy ball and a stuffed bear from the games that were there.

We came home and I played a few minutes of video games with Daddy and then we watched my Redbox movie,  The My Little Pony movie I had only seen it at the theater and was exited to see it again.

Note from Mommy... I need to get better at keeping track of the hilarious things that Alyson had been saying... she is so insightful and truly is funny.  I'll try to record or remember better.  😊

Memories from Today:

Had a good day at school today, even got to play at Mommy's school after.  Mommy was amazed how much entertainment that I got from three cardboard boxes.  I used them as hurdles, then as a long jump, then kicked them like a horse, and even head-butted them too (while wearing my antlers/horns).

After a quick grocery shopping trip, we made it home in time to cook and eat spaghetti... yum!

I spent the evening playing with my Shopkins, playing just a few minutes of video games, and watching part of Shrek 2.

January 9, 2018

Memories from Today:

Woke up and dressed and ready quicker than Mama this morning.  I ended up rushing her!

On the way to school, we heard a siren (sounded like a firetruck) as we headed down the hill to school that was lined both ways with backed-up traffic.  Mommy kept looking in her mirror to see if she could see it.  She said it would not be good if it came down the hill through traffic... I responded, "it would be chaos!"  She giggled a little at my response.

At school, I got a bracelet for signing up for jump rope for heart online.  I still haven't gotten any online donations, but Mommy says she will keep sharing the link to my online page.  I did get an awesome donation from Mrs. Clark, but told Mommy that I hid it in my notebook from my teacher!

After school,  I visited "duck lady" at Mommy's school and then Mommy and I went to Chick-fil-a and played a long time and even drank a milkshake!

Got home in time to shower and then decided to organize my Shopkins toys with Mommy's help.

January 8, 2018

Memories from Today:

Woke up in the middle of the night yelling for Mommy or Daddy. I had had a bad dream and was scared. I ended up in bed with Mom the rest of the night.

Morning came very quickly. It seemed extra early since we had school on time.  I wasn't happy with the outfit Mommy had picked out for me, so I had to find something else to wear. Mommy and I have a little bit of frustration with each other this morning, mostly because we were both tired.

School was great! I got recognized as a student of the month and was very proud of myself for that. Mommy thinks it's cute that I got the award for "knowledge."  I also got my report card which was also great. Mommy and Daddy are so proud of me!

We got out of school just a little bit earlier than normal today because of some ice. I ended up helping mommy at her school before heading home.

At home, Mommy and I cuddled on the couch and watched the movie Wreck-It Ralph. After dinner, Daddy and I played some more video games. We are making lots of progress on the Harry Potter game.

January 7, 2018

Memories from Today:

Woke up ready for church!  I was so excited!  I was able to do a lot of the church puzzle/activity packet own with little guidance.  I'm such a smartie!

After church, I got to go with Tori and her family for a little while.  We took some of the other kids home and then got lunch.  They even got me a frappuccino (I called it a milkshake).  We went to Tori's house and played.  My favorite thing was getting to ride her hoverboard.  It was awesome!

Mommy took me to the newly renovated DQ where we shared a little dinner before heading home.  At home, I played with Tini and then Daddy and I played more video games!

Back to school tomorrow (maybe?- ice permitting).

January 6, 2018

Memories from Today:

Woke up and chilled with Daddy.  I fixed myself breakfast after he left and watched a movie so Mommy could sleep a little longer.

After Mommy got up, we shared a snack and played a fame of War.  It was taking forever, so we paused that game and played a game of Go Fish.

Daddy came back home and we ate lunch and played Lego Harry Potter until nearly dinner time.

After dinner, Mommy and I continued our game of War until I grew bored with it and we paused it again.  Daddy and I played Harry Potter again until bedtime.

It was great to spend all day in my pjs!

Alyson's Exciting Day

·Yelled for mommy and daddy at 7:48 this morning to see if it was time to get up. Since there was no school, they told me to go back to sleep. Finally got out of bed around 10.

·Daddy and I spent the morning playing Lego Harry Potter. We already beat the levels, but now we are collecting all of the special items.

·After lunch, mommy and I painted rocks. We will find somewhere to place them when it gets warmer.

·This evening, daddy and I watched Flicks. Daddy thought I would like it since I like horses. We ate baked ravioli for dinner. Daddy had to cook more for me because I was still hungry. Then we finished the evening with more Harry Potter.

January 4, 2018

Memories from Today:

I'm not sure why, but school was on time this morning. I guess it wasn't quite as cold as yesterday morning. Getting up at normal time was rough!

I helped Mrs. Clark try out a new game that her students will be able to use during free choice time. It has elephants and I told Mommy it was like a STEM challenge because you had to balance everything. I was even silly and had Mrs. Clark take a picture of my back just like the elephants' backs.

After school, I got to play with my snowman bouncy ball at Mommy School. A couple of her students or late being picked up, so they played with me. We have a lot of fun kicking the bouncy ball around the foyer of the school.

The wind was crazy and it got really cold during the school day. Soon after we got home from school, they had already announced that school would be canceled for tomorrow because of the cold. I was super excited because after dinner, Daddy and I played my Lego Harry Potter game and I even got to stay up until 11:30 since there's no school tomorrow and it's the weekend.

January 3. 2018

Memories from Today:

I woke up about 8:30 this morning. I was excited to go back to school and also happy that I had gotten to sleep in since we had a two-hour delay. Daddy took me to school and I got to spend a little bit of time with Mrs. Clark and with my friend Lily. I brought Lily my best friend necklace. I gave her half and kept the other half to wear myself.

School was great! It was good to see friends and I even got to turn in my Book It paper for the reading I did over break.

After school, I spent a little bit of time at Mommy's school. I found a box and laid in it.  It was big enough for me to fit and for the flaps to close. Mommy laughed at me! I made up a game where Mommy and I took turns standing on Post-it notes and throwing my snowman bouncy ball into the box. I made it more and more challenging by moving the box around the office.

At home, we ate dinner and then Daddy and I played my Lego Harry Potter video game again while mommy went out with friends. We had a great time!

I thought I was going to get to sleep in tomorrow once again, but it looks like school will be on time.

January 2, 2018

Memories from Today:

Woke up, ate breakfast, and played Lego Harry Potter on the Wii with Daddy.

Once Mommy finally woke up, I hung out with her a bit. We ate lunch together, shared tuna with the cats,  and started watching one of Mommy's favorite movies together.  I gave it a chance, but wasn't too into it.

Mommy and I spent about an hour in my room, organizing and picking out things I no longer want/need.  We are working on two piles, one to sell and one to give away.  After about 30 minutes, I had tuned out and started watching a movie while cuddling with Tini.  Mommy continued to work.

Once Daddy got home, we ate dinner and relaxed a bit.  After my shower, I picked out my clothes for school and read a couple of books while cuddling on the couch with Mommy (and Gemma!).

I'm glad we get to ease back into school tomorrow with a 2-hour delay due to the cold.  I need a little extra rest since I was slow to go to bed tonight.
