Alyson's Antics of the Day:

I said:

  • "I want to wear my mermaid dress!" (whining this morning when Mommy wouldn't let me wear either of my new Christmas dresses, including the blue ruffly, sparkly one that I call my mermaid dress).

I did:
  • I woke up and went downstairs to eat breakfast with Daddy.  When he left for church, I went upstairs to keep Mommy company while she rested in bed.  I also whined and whined about what I wanted to wear to church since Mommy was being mean.
  • I woke Grandma and Grandpa up so they could get packed and ready to head back home. While waiting for them to ready, I cuddled up with Olaf in my chair and watched a little television.
  • At church, I played with Tori some, especially with the toys I brought from home in my Frozen bag.  We did come into the service long enough to help with the "Hanging of the Greens" part of the service.  I put two ornaments on the tree and two gifts under the tree as part of the service.  I felt like such a big girl!  When we got ready to leave church, I taped a fake leaf to a paper and gave it to Mommy saying, Happy Thanksgiving!"  On the way home, I got a real leaf and when we got home, I added it to the paper too.  I know how much Mommy loves trees and leaves.
  • After church, we tried a new restaurant for lunch, Noodles & Company.  It was super yummy!  I ended up with quite a bit of spaghetti on my face, but that's okay.
  • Mommy and I cuddled for a long afternoon nap then our buddy Dave stopped by for a visit.  I made him a Thanksgiving card too, with a drawing.
  • We ate dinner then spent the rest of the evening relaxing and being crafty, making "footprint" crafts all by myself.

Alyson's Antics of the Day:

I said:

  • "Why did they come here?" (to Mommy after a few strangers showed up and came into the house to play games).
  • "What are we playing?" (after choosing to sit at the table with Daddy and his friends while they had a stack of games to play).

I did:
  • I woke up and Daddy and I fixed pancakes for everyone for breakfast.
  • After Mommy got up, we relaxed a bit then I took a bath.
  • Mommy and Grandma took me to get my hair cut.  I was such a big girl.  The lady even blow dried and styled my hair for my movie date.
  • Mommy and I went to see the movie Penguins of Madagascar with Gabriel and his family.  It was so much fun!  I ate lots of popcorn and candy.
  • We did a little shopping and we bought a couple of things for a boy Grandma has been buying for and then Mommy bought me a My Little Pony coat.  I had to have it!
  • After pizza at home, we got dressed in layers and went to the Christmas parade.  Gabriel and his Mommy were there too.  Gabriel even bought me a present... a magic wand like his that flashed pretty lights.  The parade was great, except for the very loud firetrucks.  We had fun, got lots of candy, and even got to see a Frozen float and Santa.
  • After we got home, we had a few people come over to play games with Mommy and Daddy.  My good friend Lucy came over too.  I was so excited to show her my room, my big Olaf, and even to share my juice and snacks with her.

Alyson's Antics of the Day:

I said:

  • "I don't know how to read Bibles, but I do know how to read books."
  • "You need to announce, 'here comes the princess of the world!'" (having Mommy announce my entrance to Grandma as I modeled my princess dresses while trying them on at the store).
  • "Huh?  What did you say?" (like a little old lady... Grandma and Mommy heard this over and over and over again today).
  • "What says I want presents?" (when writing my letter to Santa at Macy's today).

I did:
  • I woke up a little after 8:00 and Daddy was already ready to wake up. He went out and about and did a little shopping of his own then got home before we got dressed and ready to do our own shopping.
  • When we got ready to leave, we found a big box on the porch.  It had a HUGE Olaf from Grandma Bazan and I was so super excited!
  • I got dressed and Mommy and Grandma got ready and we headed out to go to the Valley Mall in Hagerstown.  Other than being a little "ornery" (as Mommy said), I did well with shopping... I did hide under the clothes on the racks and got especially bored while standing in lines.  Luckily,l enjoyed eating much lunch, got to meet new friends in lines with balls and cell phone toys that they shared with me, got to meet Santa and tell him that I wanted an "Anna and Elsa kitchen and real earrings," and got to play in the new play area at the mall.  I also got to try on beautiful princess dresses and got two of them for Christmas dresses and got ice cream to share with Mommy.  Before we left the mall, I got to write my letter to Santa and put in the mailbox.  I had Grandma show me how to write "I want presents" and then I wrote it on my card.  I helped put the stamp on it, then decided that after peaking in the mailbox and seeing that another kid had put a heart on their card, that I needed to add a heart before dropping in my card.
  • I took a brief nap on the way back to the house from shopping.  As soon as we got home, I quickly ran back to Olaf... we cuddled on the couch then on the floor, and even with my Dolly.  I love Olaf!
  • After some leftovers for dinner, I relaxed with Grandma and Grandpa while Mommy and Daddy went out for the evening.  I was a little less than pleasant due to my 10 minute nap, but it was nice to spend some time with my grandparents.
