February 28, 2015

Highlights of My Day:

  • Slept in a bit then ate breakfast.
  • Went to a book sale at James Rumsey and got books for me, Gabriel, and some extra ones for other people that might want them.
  • Went to church and played with some of the girls while Mommy did an art project.  We watched Big Hero 6 and played together.
  • Played at Chick-fil-A with Tori and some other kids while waiting for our lunch.  I counted out my blueberries (I had seven) and then dropped one on the floor... I cried and cried because I lost one.  Mommy offered to buy me another fruit cup instead of ice cream, but once I calmed down I realized I'd rather have an ice cream cone.  YUM!
  • Took a nap on the couch at home (Mommy and Daddy did too).
  • Spent the evening with Ms. Sierra playing games while Mommy and Daddy had a date night.  It was fun!  I told Ms. Sierra that I missed Mommy and then recorded a message to her that said, "you braid my hair thank you I look like a princess and your the best mom ever I love you."  It wouldn't let Ms. Sierra send it to Mommy, but she still told Mommy what I had said.

February 27, 2015

Highlights of My Day:

  • Donut Friday!  Loved my blueberry cake donut, but just like every week, I left a few bites to enjoy after school.
  • I got a frowny at school today.  I was being disruptive during nap, but it was only because another student was copying me and it was making me angry.  Mommy and Daddy gave me a long talk about what to do and what not to do and I had a time out at home.  A teacher at my school did thank Mommy for correcting my behavior since she heard Mommy having a talk with me.
  • Went to Five Guys for dinner!  YUM!  Love the peanuts, grilled cheese, and fries.  One girl came in with her family and I immediately said, "Hi.  My name is Alyson and I am four years old."  She told me her name and that she was six.  I told her, "Your age is past my age."  Her Mommy told me I was ready for school.  Mommy thinks so too.
  • I begged Daddy to stop at Kohls after leaving Five Guys, so he sat in the car while Mommy and I shopped.  I got a search and find princesses book.  I love the search and find books!  I introduced myself to another family, saying, "I'm four.  I'm Alyson.  I like your jacket."
  • After getting home, I practiced matching my upper and lower-case letters with spoons. While doing that I decided it would make a good "Go Fish" game, so I handed out spoons to Mommy and then started asking for the letters I had in my hand.  For some reason Mommy seemed impressed by this.  She was also impressed when I defined the word similar as "the same, but just a little different" after she said the upper-case and lower-case Ks are similar.
  • At bedtime, I tried a page of my new search and find book with Mommy and Daddy.  It was difficult, but fun!

February 26, 2015

Highlights of My Day:

  • "We didn't learn anything at school today, but did make something."  We started making a ladybug at school.  We painted a plate red.  Tomorrow we will add the circles and the face.
  • When Daddy picked me up, I was surprised that he had bought me Big Hero 6.  Mommy had told me I had to be good all week, but he already bought it for me.  It was a good thing I was good today.
  • Daddy and I watched the movie as soon as we got home.  Daddy hadn't seen it before and didn't get to finish it this time since he had play practice again.  Mommy and I finished watching it though while we ate our pizza.
  • Mommy was very tired and napped on the couch.  I moved over to her side of the couch and cuddled with her while she napped and kept offering to wake her up at certain times using her phone to note the time.
  • Before bed, I asked Mommy to close her eyes while I was drawing.  I traced my hand and put Frozen stickers on it for her.  She loved it!
  • When Mommy asked me what else to tell everyone in the blog, I said, "I had a fun day and there's nothing to worry about."

February 25, 2015

Highlights of My Day:

  • I got to wear my cute yellow shirt with a blue bird on it.  The blue bird has a crown too...  I love it!
  • Got a smiley at school and a good "report card."  They only thing it says I still need to work on improving are "Y" sounds (want to make the "W" sound instead), setting the table, and putting clothes on a hanger...  Mommy decided more chores are needed at home to help me learn those skills.  Miss Christy even gave me two stickers when I was leaving, after I asked for them.
  • I chose Habanero for dinner before the Be-Hive.  Gabriel was at the Be-Hive too and we learned all about animal tracks and even got to search for them throughout the room and got to practice identifying them with the books they gave us.  It was very fun!
  • I went to the basketball game with Mommy tonight at another school.  I was so excited that they had an animal track on the floor.  I even had Mommy take my picture with it after the game was over.  I also got to try a blow pop for the first time ever.  Though I wasn't so sure about the gum at first, once I saw Mommy blow a bubble, I had to try it again.

February 24, 2015

Highlights of My Day:

  • Had a great day at school.  Got to play with my friends and was a super big girl helper at cleaning up the toys when Mommy picked me up.  I got another smiley too!
  • On the way home from school, Mommy told me that tomorrow we will go to another school tomorrow night for a basketball game.  After she told me what school, the next question I asked her was, "What is their animal?"  I was confused when she said "cougars" but went on to ask Mommy, "Do they run faster than me?" when she told me they were big cats.
  • After dinner at home, I got to go to Ms. Sierra's for a while.   We played with a ball that "had writing on it" (a picture) and relaxed on the couch until Mommy picked me up.
  • On the way home, Mommy asked me what my favorite letter of the alphabet was so I responded by saying, "Z because I love zebras!"  I also told her than when I take baths, "I like my baths warmish-cold."  She thinks I'm silly.
  • Once at home, Mommy showed me her beautiful painting that she did tonight.  I loved the snowman that she painted on it just for me.  She even took my picture with her painting!
  • I hurried to get ready for bed just before Daddy got home from play practice.  But, just before he got home, Mommy had to run upstairs to save me from a crazy looking spider (about 1 mm in size) that was on the ceiling of my bedroom above my loft bed.  I'm glad she saved me.

February 23, 2015

Highlights of My Day:

  • Was tired this morning, but woke up on my own since I wanted Mommy to braid my hair.  Only one problem... the syrup from my waffles!  Yikes!  I ended up with two pigtails since it took so long to get the syrup out.  Oh well.  And no time for a picture of the pigtails.  :(
  • Had a great day at school.  Even got a "Happy Day" card from Ms. Amy and a smiley!  We also got to play with a labelmaker.  I got my name on my shirt.
  • Got to wear my new leotard to "gymnaskits."  My forward roll is getting much better and I am much more confident on the trampoline with my seat drops and tornados.  I really liked when they played "Shake it Off" while we were exercising.
  • After dinner, Mommy and I did some cleaning, played ABCmouse.com and even watched a little television.  My favorite shows right now are Miles from Tomorrowland, Kate and Mim Mim, and The 7D.
  • Mommy let me play with a glow stick tonight and I hung it from my curtain rod at bedtime so I could see it and have it light up my room.

February 22, 2015

Highlights of My Day:

  • Oddly, we didn't got to church today even though it was Sunday.  I guess the snow scared everyone and made them stay home.
  • I made my Valentine tree with help from Daddy and Mommy.  It ended up beautiful!
  • Mommy and I played a couple of games together then watched Mulan 2 on television.  It was a good movie.
  • The dogs got baths, then I did too.  I guess we all needed a quick clean-up.
  • Mommy and I ran a few errands and I was sad to see that so much of the snow had already melted or was still melting.  It was hard to grab enough snow for a snowball, but I still managed to get one to throw at Mommy while she attempted to open the door to the house.
  • We spent the evening relaxing at home.  I even got some pictures with Littles and I being silly together.  Mommy thought we were so cute together!
  • We ended the day with Mommy giving me two braids and finding hidden pictures in my book.  I'm hoping Mommy and I both wake up early enough for me to have braids for school tomorrow.

February 21, 2015

Highlights of My Day:

  • It was nice to sleep in again today.  Saturdays are great!
  • It wasn't snowing when I woke up, but began soon after and the snow kept coming down!
  • Made a card for Mommy and left it on the stairs in an orange envelope for her to find when she came downstairs.  She loved it!
  • Ate cheese ravioli for lunch... YUM!
  • Mommy made an alphabet scavenger hunt for me in the house.  It was so much fun finding all the letters!
  • Played outside in the snow (made a snow angel, jumped into a pile of snow, swept the sidewalk with the broom and my feet).  The snow wasn't wet enough for snowmen or snowballs... Boo!
  • Made my own selfie videos singing and giggling (too long and wild to post).  I also took a few selfie pictures too.
  • Played abcmouse.com for quite a while this evening then watched a little television.
  • Alyson-isms of the day:  "I'm going to call you 'sweet mom'"  and "If you sing with her, she will smack you" (referring to her Elsa doll).
