Alyson's Antics of the Day:

I said:

Remember tomorrow's going to be a busy day since we're going home tomorrow.

I did:

Woke up and ate breakfast with the family.

Got dressed and then went to church with Tommy and his family.  I was a big girl. I even participated in the children's message.

After church, we went out to eat.  I ate Mac and cheese and vegetables. It was nice spending time with my friend from camp.

Back at grandma's house, I took a nap cuddled with Daddy.  It was great!

Mommy, Grandma, and I went shopping for a bit and I even got to sit on a bicycle and found some fun Frozen items. My wish list for my birthday keeps getting longer and longer.

I spent the evening entertaining the family. I sang Frozen songs, danced, and chatted with everyone.

Alyson's Antics of the Day:

I said:

"What's a reunion?"

I did:

Daddy and I went to get Krispy Kreme doughnuts and ran a few errands early this morning.

After getting dressed, it was time for the reunion.

We drove to Hamlin to meet up with the rest of the family.  I was excited to get there and see the very cool playground  that was at the park for us to play on. It made Grandpa a little nervous since there were lots of things to climb.

I played with my cousins on the playground, with bubbles, and with a couple of toys.

We ate some yummy food and played before it was time to go back to Grandma's.  I was so tired that I fell asleep on the way back.

Once we got back to Grandma and Grandpa's house, it was time to change to my mountaineer shirt and get ready for the game. We cheered and Mommy and Daddy even showed me a new cheer for fist downs. Mommy said I still had a few years to get it figured out.

Mommy and Daddy went out on a date so I got to spend more time with the family.

It was a nice day and I'm looking forward to spending some more time with family tomorrow,

Alyson's Antics for the Day:

I said:

"THIS IS THE ONE WHERE THE MINIONS TURN PURPLE!" (While watching Despicable Me 2 on the iPad with my headphones on my head)

"Is my dress done yet?" (As soon as we got to Grandma's house)

I did:

Was a super big girl at school and got a smiley.

Mommy and Daddy picked me up from school and we headed straight to grandma and grandpa's house.

I watched a couple of movies on the iPad to entertain myself during the long drive.

I was excited to see so many family members when we got to grandma and grandpa's.

Grandma let me try on what she had finished of my dress and gave me a few big girl gifts... Cowboy boots, a mountaineer jacket, and more sticker earrings.  I was thrilled!

August 28, 2014

Alyson's Antics of the Day:

I said:
  • "Eating!" (when asked my favorite part of the school day)
  • "Can I play trains with you?" (to the little boy playing in the bleachers at the soccer game at Mommy's school)
  • "She'll be right back.  It's okay." (to the little boy who was worried when his Mommy went up a few rows of the bleachers to talk to another parent)
  • "Running around the track made me thirsty... and tired!"

I did:
  • Another great day at school.  I couldn't wait to show Mommy the smiley face on the board beside my name.  She was so happy!
  • I went to a new building with Mommy where she stepped on the scale and they marked some numbers in a book.  I was very confused because the scale at that place doesn't have numbers you can see like the one we have at home.
  • Mommy and I spent the evening having fun and celebrating how good I was at school.  We went to Wal-mart to look for a Frozen backpack.  They didn't have the one I wanted, so we went to Chick-fil-A for dinner and play time then went to the Wal-mart by Mommy's school where they had a choice of three different Frozen backpacks.  I picked out my favorite.
  • We stopped at Mommy's school to watch the end of the girls soccer game and I made friends and loved climbing the bleachers.  I even ran a lap around the track with one of my new friends.
  • On the way home, I was complaining to Mommy that I couldn't whistle.  She explained to me what to do while driving and told me I would have to practice and that it was hard to do...  within a minute I started lightly whistling in the backseat.  She was so excited and so was I since it was really the first time I had done it.
  • We came home in time to take medicine, watch a few minutes of television then head to bed.  I'm looking forward to some family time this weekend.

August 27, 2014

Alyson's Antics of the Day:

I said:
  • "Hunk-a hunk-a burnin' love...  Hunk-a hunk-a burnin' love" (singing... after watching the end of Lilo and Stitch)
  • "SHINING GIRL!  Light up the sky!" (while holding the lantern walking to the top of the stairs in the dark)
  • "I can, I can" (whispering to Mommy about being a big girl at school the next two days before going to see Grandma and Grandpa).

I did:
  • Today I got to wear my kitty cat bling shirt.  Before I even left for school I got syrup on it though.
  • I had a great day at school and was even a big girl!  I was so excited!  Mommy and Daddy were too!
  • Daddy took me to Dairy Queen for dinner and a treat since I was a good girl.  Mommy was jealous that she missed out.
  • Carol gave me Frozen jelly beans for being a good girl.
  • Mommy shared with me my invitations for my party which had been printed.  I was so excited about them and was a super big girl by helping Mommy put them in the envelopes.
  • At bedtime, we read three books and I got to put all my stuffed animal friends back in the bed after having to give them up last night.

August 26, 2014

Alyson's Antics of the Day:

I said:
  • "Hiddiyup!  Hiddiyup horsey!" (while climbing the stairs with my stick horse)
  • "Can I keep just these two?  Please!" (when Mommy took all of my stuffed animal friends from my bed as another punishment for not being a good girl at school... I gave her all but Lambie and Dolly, but couldn't decide.  I finally decided to keep Dolly in bed with me tonight, I also thought Perry the Platypus needed to sleep on Daddy's pillow on his bed).

I did:
  • I wore a cute purple bunny shirt to school today and my hair was in a ponytail.  Ms. Amy noticed my pink fingernails right away and I was excited to go play with my friends and didn't hardly notice Mommy leaving.
  • I had fun, a little too much fun, with my friends today.  Olive and I both got in trouble.  I wasn't listening or following directions.
  • Daddy picked me up then it was a boring night at home.  Since I got in trouble I couldn't watch any of my shows, eat treats, or play with my scooter.  I also had to kick my fuzzy friends out of my bed.  Now Mommy says the Frozen stickers on my wall will be next to go if I don't start being a good girl.  I'm not sure how I feel about that.  I did get to play with play-doh and my stick horse and Mommy and I took a few pictures with her phone.  We also got into our comfy clothes to watch one of Mommy's movies...  Mommy loves that my pjs are getting too small that my belly hangs out.  She thinks I'm too cute!
  • At bedtime, Mommy and I read a couple of books.  She is starting to get me to recognize words like "it" and "is" and "the."  I told her I could already read the book and she didn't have to teach me to read, but she kept trying anyway.
  • I'm learning that being the child of two educators is going to make my schooling very difficult.

Alyson's Antics of the Day:

I said:
  • "I have six quarters.  I can play 3 games (after dividing them into three pairs) so I better be good" (when getting ready to play the claw machine).  Mommy seemed very excited by this and told me I could "divide," whatever that meant.
  • "I know this movie.  It's the one where the elephant with horns saves the baby." (Ice Age)
  • "I'm your doctor.  Can I take your order?...  What else would you like done?...  Do you want some make-up?" (While playing with Mommy, painting nails and such)

I did:
  • An early morning... Mondays are rough!
  • After eating breakfast, Daddy got me dressed then Mommy put my hair in pigtails.  She took me to school so she could talk to my teacher.
  • I was a super good girl today and everyone seemed very proud of me.
  • When Mommy picked me up and I had been a good girl, she gave me a high five, hugged me, and couldn't quit smiling.
  • Daddy did a something similar when he got home too.
  • After a little rest time on the couch watching part of Shrek 2, we got ready and went to Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner.  I was so excited that they have new game machines there to take to your tables that have fun kids games for me to play, even one with a unicorn you can dress up and another that was like Candy Crush.  I was pretty good at the games and Mommy and Daddy liked being able to play their trivia games too.  I was a little confused that the guys weren't there for me to deliver answer papers to, but Mommy explained that today was Monday and that only happens on Tuesdays.
  • After dinner and the claw machine and a quit stop at Wal-mart, we headed home.
  • Mommy and I got comfy and watched Ice Age and cuddled.   We also took turns painting each other's nails and putting makeup on one another.
  • I love being a big girl and getting to do big girl things.  I'm going to try very hard to be a big girl again tomorrow.
