Alyson's Exciting Events of the Day:

  • It was a slightly early morning due to a meeting Mommy had to go to.  I was also surprised that we went to Ms. Sierra's house instead of Ms. Cheri's house today.  I missed Payton, but had a great time with Ms. Sierra and Ms. Kelly.  I even got my first trick-or-treat candy of the evening from them.
  • Mommy let me eat a lollipop on the way home and I was crunching it much more than she thought I should be.  She kept reminding me to lick it and telling me I would hurt my teeth.  I reassured her that my teeth did not hurt while I was crunching the candy.
  • Once at home, I found two Halloween cards waiting for me.  One was from Grandma and Grandpa and the other was from Alice.  I was so excited to have mail to open.  I opened them all by myself and was thrilled to find $5 in one of the envelopes!
  • We ate a quick dinner then changed clothes and got in the car to go to Ms. Carol's house.  Her house was the first house where I rang the door bell to get candy.  At the first few houses, I forgot to say "trick-or-treat."  Instead, I said, "Do you think you have any candy for me?" and "Please."  Every one thought I was too stinkin' cute.  Carol walked with us around a big block then Mommy and Daddy and I walked to several more houses.  I was most excited by a pencil I got in my bucket and a "blowy flower" (dandelion puff) that I found next to the sidewalk and had to pick.  After each and every house, I turned and grabbed the piece of candy out of the bucket and held it up and said, "Look Mommy and Daddy, look what I got!" and a few times I said, "I got my favorite!" (for skittles, twizzlers, and gummies). We spent most of the time walking through light rain, so Mommy and Daddy took turns trying to hold an umbrella over me while I ran ahead.  I ended up with wet boots and my candy got slightly damp from the rain.  It was still so much fun!  Most of the people at the houses I visited were impressed I was so polite.  Even people on the street were surprised since I said "excuse me" as I walked around them.  Mommy was so proud.
  • Once back at Carol's house, I got to pick one thing from my bucket to eat.  I chose gummy fruit to eat then Carol let me eat a bowl of strawberry ice cream with whipped cream.  It was delicious!

Alyson's Exciting Events of the Day:

  • I cuddled with Daddy on the couch under the covers while Mommy finished getting ready for work.
  • I couldn't wait to show Ms. Cheri my "flag" (paper towel) and my Halloween t-shirt ("I'm so cute it's scary").
  • Mommy picked me up and brought me home.  Daddy cooked yummy dinner and we watched Daddy's football game while eating.  Mommy was proud of me for eating all of my broccoli and potatoes.
  • Mommy, Daddy, and I carved pumpkins on the porch after dinner.  I loved seeing the "guts" of the pumpkin and found the inside to be very strange feeling and also strange smelling.  I got to make all of the decisions about the pumpkin.  When Mommy asked what I wanted to cut into the pumpkin, I said, "A happy face."  When she asked what shape to cut the eyes, I said, "triangles."  I chose a big square nose and a big happy smile.  Mommy decided to add the freckles which I thought was a great idea.  When we added the candles to the pumpkins it was so neat to see them.  Daddy's pumpkins had very strange eyes. I liked mine and Mommy's pumpkin the best!
  • I tried to use the big girl potty four different times since I got home today.  Mommy thinks I'm just after the treats (Oreos and Hershey kisses), but she doesn't care since I'm finally making an effort.  Now if I could just figure out how to actually potty...

Alyson's Exciting Events of the Day:

  • I was so exhausted when Daddy woke me up that I barely stayed awake to get dressed then cuddled under the blankets on the couch watching Curious George until Mommy was ready to leave.
  • Mommy did let me watch the rest of the episode of George on her phone in the car on the way to Ms. Cheri's.
  • Once we got to Ms. Cheri's, I was still half asleep and was cranky.  I did not want to go inside and once I was inside, I wanted to cling to Mommy.  Finally Ms. Cheri talked me into cuddling with her so Mommy could go to work.
  • I taught Payton the dances that I learned at class yesterday so we spent much of the day dancing.
  • When Mommy picked me up, we drove past her old school and Daddy was out front.  He was dressed as a pirate with an eye patch, a big hoop earring, and a sword.  He looked so silly... it was kinda embarrassing.  He had just finished WyldLife.  I kept asking Mommy on the way home if she thought Daddy was still dressed as a pirate or not.  I was hoping not!  Mommy stopped to get gas in the car and go through the car wash on the way home.  I love the car wash.  I especially liked the rainbow liquid that got squirted on the car.  I told Mommy, "the car wash is SO COOL!"
  • At home, we ate dinner and relaxed a bit before going to our weekly trivia game.  Since we had already eaten dinner, I mostly just drank my chocolate milk and delivered the answers for our team which the people there call "Team Alyson" even thought it is not our team name.  They all know and love me there.  Ms. Brittny joined us so I enjoyed showing her some of my games though I did miss Jill.  Hopefully I'll get to see her soon.

Alyson's Exciting Events of the Day:

  • Mommy woke me up this morning instead of Daddy.  I was confused since it is always Daddy who wakes me and gets me ready.  He had already left, but Mommy got me dressed and ready for Ms. Cheri's.
  • It was cold outside this morning and I wasn't too happy with the loud defroster being on in the car when I got in.  Luckily it didn't have to stay on too long.
  • Keegan, Payton, and I played at Ms. Cheri's house.  I forgot my cup, so I had to drink out of one of Ms. Cheri's big girl cups.
  • When Mommy picked me up this afternoon, she let me eat a snack in the car, then we went to my very first dance lesson.  I had so much fun.  I learned the princess walk, to clap, and the happy feet dance.  Although Mommy couldn't watch my class, I showed her the dances I had learned after we left class.  I got some special treats since I was good and because it was a special Halloween night.  I was most excited about the coupon for the free Wendy's frosty, though I didn't understand why the snack counter next to the dance studio didn't have frostys.
  • After class, we ran home to get my costume, then went to Buffalo Wild Wings for their costume party.  I was Ladybug Girl.  With my pants and shoes and antennae (which I didn't keep on very long), I really did look like Ladybug Girl.  I love her books!  I painted a pumpkin, got candy, and walked around in the costume parade while at Buffalo Wild Wings.  It was so much fun, even though a few of the kids costumes scared me.
  • Once back at home, I poked holes in the new packages of paper towels and toilet paper while talking on the phone to Grandma.  I even climbed all over the packages and made a "slide" with them.
  • Daddy put me to bed since I was exhausted from such a fun day and evening.

Alyson's Exciting Events of the Day:

  •  Ms. Sierra had to wake me up at her house this morning since I was still snoozing.  Daddy picked me up at 8:00am then took me home, gave me a bath and breakfast. and started getting me ready for church.
  • I wore a beautiful blue dress with a black sweater and black tights.  Mommy forgot to take my picture in my princess dress.  :(
  • Daddy took Mommy and I to Panera bread for lunch.  He said it was the perfect day for soup for lunch since it was chilly outside.  I ate yummy mac-n-cheese and bread with butter.  I saved my yogurt and brought it home to eat later.
  • Once at home, I quickly fell asleep for my nap.  Mommy and Daddy napped too.  We slept about 2 1/2 hours.  It was wonderful!
  • When I woke up, I was ready to paint my pumpkin.  I used four different colors of paints then decided I wanted sprinkles on my pumpkin too.  Mommy said glitter would have been better, but since she didn't have any that she could find, she just let me use candy sprinkles.  She said hopefully there wouldn't be any animals licking my pumpkin to get the sprinkles as a snack.  Mommy and I had so much fun painting and sprinkling the pumpkin.  Mommy said that she and Daddy will carve their pumpkins in a couple of days instead of painting them.  I was nice and told Mommy I would save some sprinkles for their pumpkins just in case.
  • Mommy and I went to the Halloween store to look for antennae for my ladybug costume.  We found some super cute red ones.  There were all kinds of monsters around the store and they made me nervous at first, but once Mommy told me they weren't scary, only silly, I felt better about them.
  • I drove the car at the grocery store and helped Mommy pick bananas and cereal bars, then helped unload a few groceries at the checkout.  I was such a big helper that the lady working there gave me a sticker.
  • After unloading the groceries, I made a castle with the toilet paper and paper towel packages.   Then, I hid behind them, and then jumped from one to the other like they were stepping stones.  Who knew that groceries were so fun?
  • After dinner, we just relaxed at the house and watched an episode of Curious George before bed.
