August 31, 2015

Highlights of the Day:

  • Back to school today!  So happy!  I've missed my school friends!
  • I got to wear a new outfit that Mommy bought me over the weekend.  I loved it and got lots of compliments.
  • Mommy picked me up and I had to show her the silly face activity we had in the classroom.
  • I spent the evening helping Mommy cook dinner (I stirred the mac-n-cheese all by myself) and playing with my neighbor friend when we weren't arguing.  Mommy and Daddy say we act like sisters and sometimes call her "Gibbler" though I'm not sure why.
  • I finished my birthday party invitations for my class.   I'm so proud of myself for writing everyone's name and sealing and putting stickers on the envelopes.

August 30, 2015

Highlights of the Day:
  • Woke up feeling much better.  Couldn't wait to take my temperature to prove to Mommy and Daddy that I was better.
  • Mommy and I "skipped" church since she didn't want me playing in close quarters with all of the kids at church (just in case).
  • We did talk Daddy into taking us to Panera after church.  My appetite still isn't what it was, but I managed to eat half my cup of soup and some bread.
  • I spent the afternoon and evening playing with my neighbor friend.  We played princesses and even got into Mommy's blush.  Daddy said we should fire the person who did our make-up but I'm not sure what that means.
  • We set up a store on the front porch with my cash register and new shoes and played on the swings in the backyard, all while dressed as princesses.
  • I ended the night with a wonderfully relaxing (other than showing Daddy my attitude) shower.

Got into Mommy's make-up

August 29, 2015

Highlights of the Day:
  • We had a very rough night last night.  Fever jumped up and I kept waking up talking non-sense.  Luckily I was in Mommy's bed so she was there to help.  After some more medicine and cool cloths on me, I finally started feeling a little better.
  • When I finally woke up this morning, I felt much better.  My fever was nearly gone though I still didn't want to eat and still wanted to lay around.  Luckily, Cameron cuddled with me on the couch to keep me company.
  • Throughout the day, I kept wanting to take my temperature over and over again to make sure I was okay.  It stayed below 100 all day, mostly in the 99 range so Mommy was thrilled, especially after it had peaked at nearly 105 last night.  I finally started getting my appetite back by dinner time, finally eating a little pasta then chowing down on chips by bedtime.
  • Mommy and I worked on my birthday party invitations tonight when I had some energy.  I sealed the envelopes, put Inside Out stickers on the back of the envelopes and wrote the names of the people I am giving them to on the outside of the envelope.  I will have to finish tomorrow.
  • Mommy's hoping another night's sleep will be just what I need to finally get rid of this crud.  She already said we are skipping church tomorrow just as a precaution... don't want to get anyone else sick.  Looks like another day of relaxing on the couch, watching tv, and hanging out with Mommy and Daddy.

August 28, 2015

Highlights of the Day:
  • Only woke up a few times during the night, never waking completely.  It helped that I slept with Mommy.
  • Daddy had to film today, so Mommy stayed home with me all day.  I took medicine off and on all day and Mommy kept making me take my temperature.  It kept going up and down throughout the day.  It got down to 99.8 at one point and that is when Mommy decided to take me to get a slushie from Sheetz, hoping it would cause me to drink something.  I also mentioned I might eat a little pizza, but once it was in front of me I didn't want it anymore.
  • We headed back home where we laid on the couch the rest of the afternoon and evening.  We watched the movie 101 Dalmatians and several of my other shows, My Little Pony, Strawberry Shortcake, and Horseland
  • Mommy continued all day trying to get me to eat and drink and offered to fix or go get me anything I wanted.  I just wasn't feeling up to it.  I was very particular about how many ice cubes were in my water, making Mommy go back and forth to the kitchen to fix it.
  • Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day for both of us.

August 27, 2015

Highlights of the Day:
  • Woke up whining for Mommy at 5:30 this morning.  Cuddled with Mommy and Daddy and Mommy noticed I felt a little warm.  I slept very soundly until Daddy made me get up.
  • I was cranky this morning and wasn't very helpful getting ready.
  • Daddy took me to school and I had fun until I got sick.  I threw up in the trashcan then Daddy came to pick me up since they had called him.
  • I spent the rest of the afternoon/evening relaxing on the couch.  I slept off and on, watched lots of television, and cuddled with the animals then Mommy once she got home.
  • I did sit up a little while to play an iPad game, but mostly just rested.
  • Mommy's hoping I have an uneventful night and I feel better tomorrow, though school is out of the question for me since I still  have a fever as of late this evening.  :(

August 26, 2015

Highlights of the Day:
  • Another tired morning.
  • I waited until Mommy was walking out the door this morning to go to work to tell her I wanted my hair in two braids.  I didn't understand why she told me Daddy would have to fix it or she would be late for work.  Daddy was only able to do one braid, but at least it was something.  Mommy said I'd  have to wake up earlier if I wanted her to have time to fix my hair.  I also waited until then to tell her that we all have "jobs" in my class.  I'm the "ABC" person which I later explained to her meant I point at the letter as we talk about it.
  • I got to play outside three times and worked on the letters in my name today.  Mommy got pictures again via email of all of us working and playing.  She loves seeing what I'm doing at school.
  • I played with my neighbor friend then did a little shopping with Mommy.  I paused and read a book while Mommy looked around in that area of the store.  I loved walking around Target and picking out what I wanted for my birthday.  My absolute favorite toy was the Fur Real unicorn that costs about $120.  Mommy was shocked at the price.  We got some cool things to give to my teachers on Friday as a little thank you gift.  We ended the evening with a trip to Sweet Frog.  I even got some "ice cream" to bring home for my neighbor friend.  I was super excited about the pineapple upside down cake flavor of yogurt.  Mommy let me take a sip of her Chai drink.  I couldn't quit asking for another drink and Mommy was getting frustrated with me.  She says she never should have let me take a sip.

August 25, 2015

Highlights of the Day:
  • Woke up super tired!
  • Wore a beautiful dress and was excited Mommy braided my hair in two braids.  She even took me to school this morning for my first official day of Pre-K.  She seemed real excited, more than I was which was strange.  She took pictures on the front porch but the sun was way too bright.  I told her to take my picture in front of the brick wall at school since it would be pretty.
  • I had a great day with my new teacher, Ms. Sara, and my new friends.  We played outside, sang the crocodile song, and drew some lines beginning to make a book.
  • Mommy got an email of pictures from my teacher before she even picked me up from school.
  • We spent the evening at Brother's pizza with my friend Lucy.  We played and played while Mommy and Daddy played trivia.  I had a ball!  Mommy thinks that Lucy and I are so great together.

August 24, 2015

Highlights of the Day:
  • Daddy woke me up a little earlier than normal this morning and I was not happy about it.
  • I wore a cute shirt and skirt to school today and was happy to see my friends again.
  • My teachers liked my homework (letter "A") and even put it on the bulletin board with the letters of the other students.  Each of us had to decorate the first letter of our name for the board.  Maddie even had Frozen stickers on hers!  It was a good day at school where we got to play outside two times, got to watch a movie, and I even took a nap.
  • I was so happy to see my neighbor friend when I got home.  We played most of the night together, playing outside on the swings and even putting temporary tattoos on our arms and legs.  We called ourselves "Tattoo girls" and thought we were super cool.
  • I'm looking forward to my first "official" day of Pre-K tomorrow with Ms. Sara as the teacher.  Mommy tells me she has a lot to teach me.  I can't wait!

August 23, 2015

Highlights of the Day:
  • Got dressed and ready for church.  Wore a beautiful pink dress with white flowers and wore my "heels" and had Mommy braid my hair in two braids.  I looked like a princess.
  • After lunch, we spent the rest of the day at home.  I "rested" in bed with Mommy but refused to nap.
  • I completed my homework, decorating the letter "A" with crayons, stamps, stickers, and glitter.  I can't wait to show my teacher tomorrow.  I packed my backpack and got everything ready for school.
  • I played by myself, playing with my hula hoops and showing Mommy my tricks on the swing set in the backyard.
  • I missed my neighbor friend today.

August 22, 2015

Highlights of the Day:
  • Woke up and found two gold coins beside my bed.  The tooth fairy must have dropped them off last night.  She even left a note.
  • I found Daddy downstairs making pancakes.  They were delicious!  YUM!
  • I entertained myself until my neighbor friend woke up and came outside to play.
  • We watched one of her Barbie movies, dressed in our princess dresses and "dancing shoes" to dance with the movie.  Mommy thought we were adorable.
  • We rode bikes and scooters in our princess dresses then changed clothes to help Daddy do a little painting on the side of the house.
  • We spent the evening relaxing.  Daddy cooked dinner and I took a shower.  We had a family movie night, watching Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day.  It was very funny!

August 21, 2015

Highlights of the Day:
  • Woke up without a tooth this morning.  Not sure what happened to it.  Mommy thinks the tooth fairy may have stopped by and snatched it out of my mouth, but I'm not so sure.  I think she might leave me something tonight.
  • Had a great day at school.  Mommy and Daddy both picked me up and spent some time talking to my new teacher, Ms. Sarah (Pre-K orientation).  I even have homework... to decorate the letter "A."
  • Daddy took Mommy and I to the playground McDonalds.  I had so much fun playing and loved the pencil rubbing Monster High toy in the Happy Meal.
  • After dinner, we went to look at Party City for things for my birthday party (nothing for the party, but I did have fun with the My Little Pony things).
  • We went to Hagerstown City Park.  I love that place!  So many ducks and geese and more than one large playground.  I had so much fun!
  • After we got home, I relaxed and then fell asleep on the couch.  I was so tired!
