Alyson's Antics of the Day:

I said:

  • Mommy:  "What shape is that?" (looking at my new Mickey Mouse book)
  • Me:  "A diamond!"
  • Mommy:  "If you turn it this way (turning the book), what shape is it?"
  • Me:  "A square!"
  • Mommy:  "Sometimes we call a square or diamond a rhombus..."
  • Me:  "I already knew that Mommy.  It's a rhombus!"

I did:

  • I argued a bit with Daddy and Mommy about my outfit today.   I wanted to wear a dress and not pants.  I also didn't want a shirt under my jumper dress, but since Daddy couldn't find my little sweater to wear over it, I had to wear a shirt under it.  I wasn't happy, but tolerated it.
  • I was a great girl at school, getting a smiley.  I was so proud to show Mommy when she picked me up.  I couldn't understand why Mommy was leaving a bag in the classroom (it had donations of tissues and Lysol wipes) but I kept asking her why she was leaving it there.
  • In the car, I found a cool new Mickey Mouse book with talking pen in my car seat.  Mommy had bought it for me for being such a big girl.
  • Once we got home, I got to play with my new book and surprised Mommy with all of the answers I got right about shapes, beginning letters of words, colors, and even rhyming words.  Mommy and Daddy both thought I was super intelligent.
  • After a quick dinner at home (which I helped Mommy with), we went to Buffalo Wild Wings for trivia.  It was fun!  Even Ms. Brittny, Jillian, and Jessica were there for me to talk to and play with.  I picked out matching crowns for Jillian and me and I taught her how to play with the new gaming tablet.  I practiced writing my name on the answer sheets before turning them into Mr. Harry.  He played "Let it Go" just for me, so I sang along and danced a little.
  • After Brittny and Jillian left, I stole a chip off of their plate...  Mommy was disappointed, but Daddy understood.
  • The claw machine was broken, so I decided to try the golf game with Daddy.  I celebrated when the ball made it in the hole.  I was so proud of myself!

Alyson's Antics of the Day:

I said:

  • "I'll share one with Mommy" (after Daddy gave me two Oreo cookies).
  • "Do you want to play a game for two?" (to Mommy while I played games on Disney Junior on her laptop).

I did:

  • Mondays are rough... I was so tired!
  • I wore a cute striped shirt with a pink flower on it and jeans.  Daddy had to convince me to wear jeans since I only want to wear dresses right now.
  • I was a great girl at school today.  Another smiley made Mommy and Daddy super proud of me.
  • At home, I got to watch the new animated Wizard of Oz that Mommy had gotten out of the red box yesterday.  It was funny!
  • Mommy cooked a delicious dinner of meatloaf muffins, potatoes, and broccoli.  The broccoli was my favorite part, especially after Mommy added a little shredded cheese on top.
  • We spent the evening relaxing and watching a little television and playing a few games on the computer.
  • It was nice to have some time to relax with all three of us at home.

Alyson's Antics of the Day:

I said:
  • "Let me tell you a knock, knock joke...  Knock knock, who's there, nobody, nobody, nobody, nobody,...  hahaha!  Isn't that funny?"
  • "We are in aisle two two" (while shopping... Mommy looked up a the sign and saw we were in aisle 22)
  • "Tori's my new bestest friend, but I miss Rebekah..."
  • "Thank you Mommy" (Mommy seemed so proud of my manners today. I thanked Mommy and Daddy each multiple times and even told Mommy I was sorry when I wasn't too nice to her.)

I did:

  • I slept in some this morning, then got up and had breakfast and a bath before church.
  • I wanted to wear a cute tutu like dress, but Mommy and Daddy both felt it was a little short.  I promised I would be lady-like and not show everyone my panties...  that didn't work out so well since I was climbing all over the furniture and doing flips in the foyer of the church.
  • When we stopped by the house before going out for lunch, Mommy made me put some black leggings on under my dress to keep from showing myself everyone.
  • I chose McDonalds for lunch and was super excited about my Monster High toy.  Mommy said it was similar to a Magic 8 ball whatever that might be.
  • After a nap at home, I helped Mommy do our weekly grocery shopping.  I made a new friend who had a cell phone toy and got lots of compliments on how cute I was, especially when I was singing, "Let it Go" while walking through the aisles of the store.
  • I spent a few hours with Ms. Sierra and her family so Mommy could have a date night with Daddy.  I rode my scooter, shot a basketball, and played at the playground.  What fun!

Snapping a selfie.

Alyson's Antics of the Day:

I said:
  • "Buy me that." At the Ranson Yard Sale.
  • "Daddy's gonna be jealous." While at the Ranson Yard Sale.

I did:

  • I woke up real early this morning screaming for mommy and daddy. I had to go potty. Daddy  helped to the bathroom and then we both went back to our separate beds for a little longer. I got back up around 7:00 to go sleep with mommy and daddy in their bed.
  • When daddy and I got back up, I had 12 waffles for breakfast! I was real hungry. Then mommy and I went to a big yard sale in Ranson. Mommy bought me a whole bunch of new outfits. Then we went to Panera Bread for lunch.
  • Daddy was home when I woke up from my nap. He took me to Petsmart where I got to see a lot of animals. Daddy also bought a big cat toy. Then we went to Michael's and I had my face painted like Hello Kitty.
  • When we got home, daddy and I sat around and watched television. We even cuddled a little bit.

September 26, 2014

Alyson's Antics of the Day:

I said:
  • "I don't want that much sweet" (when choosing to not go and get donuts).
  • "Look Mommy... I found Jiminy Cricket!"
  • "My next party, I want to have Snow White....  No, the next party should be Dorothy (The Wizard of Oz) and then Snow White."
  • "This year for Halloween, I want to be Elsa.  Then I want to be Snow White, then a Unicorn, then Belle, then Santa Claus, then a pom-pom, then a pole, then a sign, then food an egg one year then spaghetti the next year....  (giggling like crazy knowing I was completely silly and Mommy was laughing too).

I did:
  • Wore a beautiful dress to school today thanks to Daddy agreeing to let me wear it.
  • I chose to eat waffles at home instead of going to get donuts with Daddy this morning.
  • I had a great day at school and got another smiley... that is now two straight full weeks of smileys.  Mommy and Daddy are so proud!
  • When I got home from school, there was a package waiting for me.  It had some super cute Harley Davidson bib overalls and a card with "two dollars" in it....  It was much more than two dollars, but I don't understand the differences in bills quite yet.  I will be happy when I see what I can buy.  Thanks Uncle Bill and Billy!
  • Daddy changed my clothes into Cardinal attire, then we headed to Mommy's school for the big football game.  I got to play with other kids and eat lots of yummy food at the tailgate before the game, then got to walk around and visit people and eat more snacks while watching the game.  I even got hot cocoa!  I smashed a finger (the middle one) in the press box door during the game.  I was really upset.  Mommy got me some ice which helped and Gabriel got me a ring pop which helped even more.  Mommy didn't seem too excited that I had to show everyone my boo-boo (holding up the one finger).  I nearly fell asleep at one point toward the end of the game and had my head laid on Mommy's shoulder and made her carry me everywhere, then I got my second wind after rushing the field with the students and was so super silly by the time we were in the car headed home.
  • A special thank you to Gabriel for the ring pop, Daddy for the M&Ms, and one of Mommy's students for the pom-pom.  I had way too many sweets tonight from cupcakes and cookies at the tailgate, to candy and hot cocoa during the game.  Mommy thinks I'm already sweet enough.
  • I'm excited that we all get to sleep in tomorrow.  It's been a very busy week!

September 25, 2014

Alyson's Antics of the Day:

I said:
  • "And I'll give you this for helping me Mommy." (giving Mommy a few coins after she had given me a few coins for helping her put away laundry).
  • "This is angering me!" (while watching the previews before our movie since we couldn't skip them without the remote).
  • "I'm sleepy... like a star!"

I did:
  • It was raining this morning, so Daddy thought it would be a great day to wear my new "Rain, rain go away shirt."  I wasn't so sure.  After much debate and a little coercion from Mommy, I gave in and put it on and ended up loving it.
  • Had a great day at school today, even got a smiley.  I didn't cough at all either.
  • Mommy took a picture of my tree on the wall when she picked me up.  She loved it.  She also loved my hand art too.
  • After going home for a bit, we went out for a nice dinner at Bob Evans.  I was very cranky before I ate...  Daddy caught a great moment with a picture when Mommy was frustrated and I was cranky....  then, about 5 seconds later, I was laughing hysterically.  Mommy blames my meds (5 days of prednisone is making me a cranky bear!).  I had the pancakes with blueberries and whipped cream... YUM!  I also helped Mommy and Daddy with dessert.
  • Back at home, Daddy went to a meeting, so Mommy and I cuddled and watched Lilo &Stitch.  Mommy even fell asleep on the couch.  Silly Mommy!
  • After a quick snack of cereal and a book it was bedtime!

September 24, 2014

Alyson's Antics of the Day:

I said:
  • "Mommy, can you help me put my cupcake down?  I can't since I have a ring on my finger."

I did:
  • I got to wear one of my new shirts.  It was red with a sparkly peace sign on it.
  • Daddy took me to school after I ate a few pieces of a waffle for breakfast.
  • I was a big girl and got a smiley and "only coughed one time" so my medicine must be helping me.
  • I colored a pumpkin (and added glitter) and colored a "storm that is beautiful" on a small scrap of paper from school.
  • Daddy brought me home from school and I had a snack until Mommy got home and got me ready for dance class.
  • I wore my leg warmers today since it was chilly and when Mommy asked me to pick out a jacket, I chose to wear my white sweater instead since "I was beautiful."
  • We stopped to meet someone to pick up a quick pair of snow boots (Mommy said they were quite a deal even if they looked a little boyish) and then we ate a quick dinner out before heading back home.  Once Mommy and I got home, I showed her how I learned to leap at dance.  Mommy was impressed with how graceful I looked.  She tried to do a couple of leaps too, but I kept telling her she wasn't doing it right and showing her over and over again how to do it.
  • We changed into comfy clothes and cuddled on the couch watching one of my favorite movies, Monsters, Inc. until Daddy got home from church.  Daddy is always so jealous that Mommy and I have cuddle time.

September 23, 2014

Alyson's Antics of the Day:

I said:
  • "We're going to trivia! at Buffalo Wild Wings!"  (to Mommy with attitude).
  • "I'm not going to wear jeans...  NOT AT ALL!" (to Mommy with attitude before going to trivia after spilling water on my jeans and being determined to not wear another pair of jeans).

I did:
  • Had a great day at school...  Minimal coughing and a smiley!
  • I had fun with my friends and even got a new book, SpongeBob since they were cleaning out some old books and toys.
  • Cuddled with Mommy on the couch watching the rest of my Barbie movie from last night.  Mommy took a short nap until it was time for trivia.
  • Though a little whiny, I distracted myself with games and running answers during the trivia game tonight.  My friends were there and were excited that I was there.  They even cheered for me when I turned in answers.
  • I tried the claw machine and nearly won something, but had to walk away empty-handed.  I was disappointed.
  • Back at home, it was bedtime after medicine.

September 22, 2014

Alyson's Antics of the Day:

I said:
  • "I don't want to wear jeans.  I have to wear a dress so I can be beautiful!" (arguing with Mommy and Grandma when picking out clothes to wear for the day).

I did:

  • Woke up and decided to wear a dress.  Grandma and Mommy helped me get ready.  I finally decided on a blue dress and Grandma put my hair in a ponytail.  Mommy said I need to practice sitting like a lady when wearing a dress... I just want to be comfy!
  • We went to the doctor's office to see Dr. Wear.  I immediately showed Grandma the secret glow in the dark stars on the ceiling of his Green Bay Packer room. then was very brave during my appointment.  I wasn't able to get my shots today since I had a "squeak" in my chest.  Mommy said I must have swallowed a mouse or something, but I think it is caused by my coughing.
  • After a late breakfast at Waffle House with Mommy, Grandma, Grandpa, and Aunt Carol, Mommy took me to school.  My friends were already outside playing on the playground when I got there.
  • Daddy picked me up and took me to McDonalds and then to Ms. Sierra's since he and Mommy had conferences tonight.  I missed them, but had fun with Sierra and her family.  I was super hyper when Mommy picked me up.
  • After stopping to pick up the Barbie movie from the Redbox and to get some new medicine, we went home.  I got to watch a little of my movie while taking my medicine before bed.
