September 30, 2015

Highlights of the Day:
  • Woke up in the middle of the night after a bad dream.  Mommy came and got me and let me sleep with her the rest of the night.
  • Daddy got me dressed and ready for school while Mommy rested.  She still wasn't feeling well this morning, so she slept in a bit more than normal.
  • I had a great day at school.  We got to have a parade in the classroom since it was rainy outside.  We also got to stamp with apples and be artistic.  I brought home several drawings and paintings to show Mommy.  She isn't sure if they were all done today or over the past several days.
  • My neighbor friend and I played a few hours after I got home from school.  We enjoyed a little time without rain, but decided to dance with the umbrellas anyway.  It was fun.
  • Mommy, Daddy, and I went to Buffalo Wild Wings for trivia and I showed my addition skills on the paper they give the kids.  I quickly added 10 + 4 and got the right answer.  Mommy and Daddy were super excited and I was too!  Then, I struggled a little more with 8 + 5 until Daddy taught me a trick to help me.  I later added 13 + 7 and 20 + 4 and got them right.  Mommy told me I'm a "smarty pants" but since I wasn't wearing pants (a dress and leggings instead), she said she was going to call me "smarty leggings."  How silly!
  • Before bed, we spent a little time looking for a picture of something that begins with the letter A for my journal at school.  A is tricky!

September 29, 2015

Highlights of the Day:

  • Daddy let me sleep in a little this morning.  I wore a super cute plaid long shirt (tunic) and leggings.
  • At school we started learning more about the letter A and talked about apples.  We tasted different apples and picked our favorites.  We even colored apples for the "tree" in the classroom.  I asked Mommy to pick me up from school tomorrow so she can see our apple tree and my apple.  I drew an awesome picture of a horse, so Mommy had to snap a picture of it.
  • Daddy took me to Chick-fil-A since Mommy was still working, then took me to Mommy's school.  I ran around with her for a few minutes and said hello to everyone, then we headed home.  On the way home, I told Mommy that there were mean kids at Chick-fil-A in the play area.  Mommy asked how they were mean and I told her that they said they didn't want to play with me and there were any grown ups in there.  She asked what I said to them after that and I told her that I just walked away.  She was very proud of me.
  • Mommy wasn't feeling too well, so we cuddled on the couch and rested until Daddy got home from play practice.

September 28, 2015

Highlights of the Day:

  • Woke up and wasn't a bear this morning after staying awake watching the lunar eclipse.  I only fussed a little about wanting to wear leggings instead of my shorts under my dress and about what shoes to wear and fixing my hair.
  • I had a great day at school today.  Mommy picked me up and she was super excited about our tree on the door of our classroom as well as the leaves, especially my leaf.  She loved it!  She was also excited to read my prediction of what would happen from our experiment last week for the word absorb.  She thought my prediction was awesome and called me a smarty!
  • At home, we ate dinner and after a little family time, I finally got to play with my neighbor friend for a bit.  We had fun dressing as princesses and playing with all of our toys together.
  • I had a meltdown at bedtime, probably making up for staying awake last night.  Mommy and Daddy were not amused!

September 27, 2015

Highlights of the Day:

  • Woke up and cuddled with Mommy for a bit before getting dressed and ready for church.
  • I wore a cute black and white dress with leggings (since it was chilly) and I chose the shoes to "match" my outfit.
  • Mommy and I walked to church to eat pancakes and have church.  It was fun and I got to play with my friends!
  • After church, we were driving to go to see Hotel Transylvania 2 and we passed a turtle that was about the cross the road in the middle of town.  We "rescued" him and took him to a wooded area so he didn't get run over.  He was very colorful and pretty.  I said goodbye to him when we drove away.
  • The movie was great and so funny!  We all loved it!
  • Daddy had to go to the theater and then to a meeting, so I was Mommy's helper as we went shopping for groceries for the week.
  • When we got home, I played with my neighbor friend for a couple of hours until shower time.
  • The moon peeked out from behind a cloud long enough for me to see that part of it was hidden.  Mommy explained to me that it was in the process of being a total eclipse and that it would appear red ("a blood moon") when it was completely in the shadow.  I begged to stay up to see it and Mommy agreed, even though there are still lots of clouds and I may or may not be able to see it.  Daddy wasn't too happy that Mommy said yes, but she loves that I am a space nerd just like her.

September 26, 2015

Highlights of the Day:

  • Woke up and ate cereal for breakfast and watched television with Daddy.  Mommy wasn't feeling too well and slept in a while longer. Daddy made up yummy pancakes which I ate as a second breakfast.
  • After some lazy time at home this morning, I got dressed in my Mountaineer shirt and jeans and we went to Buffalo Wild Wings to watch the game with Gabriel and his family.  It was fun though I'm still not sure about all of the screaming at the televisions.  We even had a special visitor, the Buffalo!  He was fun!
  • Back at home, we had a lazy rest of our day, relaxing on the couch and watching football games and some of my kid shows.  I missed my neighbor friend who wasn't home until after dark when it was too late to play.  Hopefully I'll get to play with her tomorrow.  I miss her.

September 25, 2015

Highlights of the Day:

  • Woke up a little before time to get up, so Mommy let me cuddle in bed with her a few minutes before getting up to start our day.
  • I wore a beautiful dress and my "high heels" to school.
  • At school today, I glued my fairy picture in my journal with the letter F.  I also included the fall leaf I brought.  It was a fun day but I'm glad it's Friday.
  • After school, Daddy brought me to Mommy's school for the football game.  We had to run a few errands and stopped to eat at Pizza Montese before the game.
  • At the game, I got to hang out with a few different friends and was quite the scavenger.  I found several glow necklaces and glow sticks that students had thrown down or dropped (the student section theme for the night was "rave" with lots of neon and glow in the dark things).  I also found over a dollar in change throughout the night on the ground near the concession stand.  It was fun watching the game, cheerleaders, band, and even the show choir.  I also got to be Mommy's big helper doing anything she asked and always saying "Yes Ma'am!"  Mommy was so proud of me being such a big girl tonight.  I even got some goodies from people at the game.  Mommy didn't have her phone with her at the game, so she had to take some pics of me after the game.

September 24, 2015

Highlights of the Day:

  • Last night, Mommy wasn't home and I was scared of deer after our run-in with them, so Daddy let me just sleep in Mommy's spot on the bed.  I took up most of the bed, but at least I slept well.
  • I wore a cute skirt and shirt today, even though they weren't new.
  • At school, I got to ride on the bike and in the car that are outside.  I am also still the "outside helper" for the rest of the week then I will get a new job.  We are working on leaves for the door and apples for the bulletin board.  We also learned what the word "absorb" means and go to experiment with red water.  It was super fun!
  • After Daddy picked me up from school, I helped him with laundry, watched My Little Pony, and ate dinner before going to Ms. Sierra's while Daddy had practice.
  • Mommy picked me up from Ms. Sierra's and I was so glad to see her.  I couldn't wait to show her my "Buffalo Princess" outfit (buffalo horns and princess shoes) after we got home.
  • After Fruit Loops and medicine it was bedtime.  I'm glad to have Mommy back home.

September 23, 2015

Highlights of the Day:

  • I had a restless night last night so I ended up in mommy and daddy's bed. Eventually, I pushed daddy out and cuddled with mommy all night.
  • I got to sleep in today since mommy had a later meeting downtown. Daddy still took me to school though since he wasn't working today. I am in a much better mood when I get to sleep in.
  • I got dressed in another beautiful outfit today. It was a little colder this morning so I wore leggings with my outfit.
  • When I got home, I played with Addison. We played tea party and with my Flutterby. Daddy had to recharge it twice. Then, I went with daddy to a meeting at Shepherd. I was very well behaved and watched a couple of episodes of My Little Pony. On the way home, daddy hit a deer. He said that it didn't leave a mark on the car, so he couldn't have hit it very hard. Everybody is okay.
  • I watched a little more television tonight while I ate my late snack of Lucky Charms. I also got to talk to mommy on the phone. I told her that I miss her.

September 22, 2015

Highlights of the Day:
  • I wore one of my new dresses today to school.  I was so excited about it!  Thanks to the Puffinburger family for the great dress!
  • At school today, we talked about the changing seasons since today is the last day of summer and tomorrow is the first day of fall.  I can't wait to learn more about fall, Mommy's favorite season.  We even got to sing the Bumble Bee song today!
  • I went to see Dr. Wear today for my five-year check-up.  He said I was worth a million bucks and was super excited to hear that I haven't had to use my nebulizer for a long time.  I'm 37 lbs, 4 oz and 3 ft 5 1/4 in.  I'm small but mighty for sure!
  • We had lasagna at home for dinner then I got to play with my neighbor friend and her friend for a little while.
  • Before bed, I ate my last birthday cupcake and played with my Flutterbye and she was doing great!

September 21, 2015

Highlights of the Day:
  • I was so super tired this morning.  I was quite a bear to get dressed and ready for school.  Daddy said earlier bedtime tonight.
  • Today was show and tell day at school, so I took my Barbie Princess Power doll and a little Barbie "sister" doll.  My friends and teacher loved it and thought it was "so cool!"
  • Since it was raining, we stayed inside this afternoon and watched Frozen.  We voted and Frozen had more votes than SpongeBob.  I was happy!
  • We spent the evening inside playing and relaxing and watching tv with Daddy while Mommy went back to work for parent conferences.
  • Mommy brought home a present from Sherri that works with her.  It was a super cool Frozen book, glow necklace, and cool bag.  I was so excited and said the book was "SO COOL!"  Thanks Sherri!
  • I have to go see Dr. Wear tomorrow to see how big I have gotten and maybe get a flu shot.  I'm freaking out about the shot even though Mommy just had hers last week.
  • Mommy and I cuddled in bed and looked at my new Inside Out book at bedtime.  It was a nice way to unwind at the end of the day.

September 20, 2015

Highlights of the Day:
  • I slept so wonderfully last night.  Being tired from turning another year older will do that to a little girl.
  • Grandma and Grandpa left to go back home this morning then we got ready for church.
  • Decided to wear one of my new outfits to church this morning.  Thanks Carol!  I felt super cute.  I even brushed my own hair and put hair clips in it all by myself.
  • I brought my backpack full of new toys to church and shared them with my friends.
  • Spent the afternoon and evening at home playing with new toys.  I kept Mommy busy opening the new packages and putting things together, not to mention playing with me.  We had fun making Play-doh cupcakes, playing with the horses, playing "balloon catch," building a stable for the horses, flying my Flutterbye fairy, and making my Barbie Princess Power doll "transform" from a princess to a superhero (after making Mommy say "transform").
  • Loved cuddling with Mommy (not Daddy) after my shower.  I stalled and stalled going to bed (deciding I was hungry then needed to brush my hair before bed).

September 19, 2015

Highlights of the Day:
  • I woke up so excited that it was my birthday!
  • Mommy let me see one of my presents early... it was an Inside Out Look and Find book.  It kept me busy so Mommy could rest a little longer this morning.  I didn't understand why we couldn't go set up for the party first thing.  Mommy also said I got "Hangry" since I hadn't eaten much this morning.
  • Mommy, Grandma, Grandpa, and I went to Bob Evans for brunch.  I ate a Piggy Pancake and a little of Grandma's chicken and a little of Mommy's biscuits and gravy.  YUM!
  • I had a great party with lots of friends, play time, and some cool gifts.  Thanks everyone!
  • Grandma, Mommy, and I went to a band competition.  We watched the Cardinal band and a couple of other bands perform.  One band did songs from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and they were my favorite (sorry Cardinals!).
  • We ate dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings where I used my new My Little Pony toys to act out in front of the iPad while watching My Little Pony.  After dinner, we went to Sweet Frog for dessert!
  • Before bed, I played with a few more of my new toys and began naming some of my toy horses.  Mommy heard the names Kindheart, Friendheart, Loveheart, Generosity, and a few more mentioned.
  • What a great day!
