Alyson's Exciting Events of the Day:
  • I woke up at a little after 7:00 this morning, earlier than I have in a while and Mommy didn't sleep well last night, so I let her rest in bed a little bit while I watched Curious George and Sid the Science Guy on her ipad.
  • After eating an apple pie pop tart, banana, and milk, Mommy got me dressed and ready and we left for Ms. Kelly's house.
  • I played, ate lunch, and napped at Ms. Kelly's house while Mommy did her presentation.  I had fun!  I kept asking for the pants for the baby doll that they had there.  I didn't understand that it didn't have any pants.
  • When Mommy picked me up, we came home for a little while to eat dinner and play.
  • After resting at home, we went to Petsmart, the grocery store (I got to drive the car cart!), and to see Socks the cat.
  • Once we were home, I enjoyed a little ice cream and play time before bed.
  • After reading books while taking my medicine, when I was finally ready to settle down, I heard thunder.  I ran toward the window to look outside.  I cuddled with Mommy in the rocking chair while we watched the lightning and listened to the thunder.  It was so loud!  I kept clinging tighter and tighter to Mommy's neck when the thunder was loud.  I finally fell asleep on Mommy's chest while we watched the storm.  It was so peaceful and relaxing!

Alyson's Exciting Events of the Day:
  • I woke up at a little close to 8:00 this morning.  After cuddling with Mommy in bed for a few minutes watching Curious George, we went downstairs and enjoyed some cinnamon toast, bananas, and milk for breakfast.
  • We relaxed and played with my school bus and watched another episode of Curious George, then played with my letter and shape cards.  I also played some of my games on Mommy's ipad.  I did a great job of coloring the bus on it, so Mommy included a picture below of the bus I was coloring.
  • After a lunch of lasagna and lettuce with dip (no shirt to save from tomato sauce stains),  I sat in the high chair and practiced buckling myself in for about 20 minutes.  Every time I was successful I would get a huge smile on my face, give Mommy high five, and then say "try again."  Mommy thought it was so cute!
  • After nap time, Mommy and I went shopping.  I was not very patient in Best Buy but had much more fun in Target.  I helped Mommy hold her shopping list and even tore it into more convenient sized pieces for her to hold on to.  Mommy bought me some small barrettes to try to keep the hair out of my eyes and even tried one in my hair to see how it would look.  I thought I was so cute but before we got out of the aisle, I had ripped it off of the package and tried to put back in my hair.  Mommy made me put it in the back of the cart until we were ready to leave the store. While walking past the grocery area, I started whining, "bread! bread!"  Mommy asked if I was really begging for bread and said I was pitiful.  Then she distracted me by pushing the cart past the bananas.  I quickly switched my focus from bread to "manas" and was very concerned that the cashier was going to forget them so I kept yelling, "Manas! Manas!"
  • After eating dinner and stopping to check on Socks the cat, we returned home where I talked to Daddy, Grandma, and Grandpa on the phone.
  • I was getting really tired and whiny on the phone and had a rough time falling asleep.  Mommy's not sure if I'm just tired, not feeling well, or teething, but she hopes I'm in a better mood tomorrow.

Alyson's Exciting Events of the Day:

  • I woke up at a little before 8:00 this morning.
  • I wore a beautiful dress to church this morning.  It was black with pink, green, and white butterflies all over it and I wore my pink sandals too.
  • After church, I found a microphone by the alter on the floor.  Daddy turned it on so I could talk and sing into it.  I sang my version of "Twinkle, Twinkle" while doing a little dance.  Mommy videotaped me with Daddy's camera.  (Of course I sang more before the camera was rolling!)
  • After church, we went to B-dubs for lunch where I had some mac-n-cheese and fries and chocolate milk...  YUM!
  • After Daddy got packed for camp, I took a long nap.
  • After my nap, Mommy and I went to play at Poor House Farm.  I had a mini photo shoot with Mommy, though she only brought her cell phone camera.  It was fun!  I had fun on the playground and walking around looking at the ducks and geese.  I kept saying "Come on!" to them wanting them to come with us.
  • We stopped to check on Carol's cat, then came home and ate dinner and played until bed time.  I enjoyed putting toy necklaces on Mommy's neck over and over again.  We both laughed so hard when I missed her head or got the necklaces stuck on her ears.  Mommy loves the look I get on my face when I can't stop laughing!  She thinks I'm so stinkin' cute!  (I also put necklaces on Gemma too!)

Alyson's Exciting Events of the Day:

  • I woke up at 6:00 crying (Mommy thinks I had a bad dream) and then cuddled with Mommy and Daddy until close to 8:00.
  • I watched Curious George while Daddy did his exercises, then we played with blocks and colored until Mommy woke up.  I also found Mommy's socks and tennis shoes and put them on and walked around.
  • We ate pizza and peaches for lunch.
  • I got another boo-boo.  I sat on my rocking horse and my little toe got pinched under the rocker.  Daddy tried to hold ice on it, but I wouldn't let him.  I only wanted to open the bag and play with the ice.  Daddy says I'm a mess!
  • After my nap, I played piano for a while.  Mommy taught Daddy how to play Twinkle, Twinkle while I sang along.
  • Mommy, Carol, and I went to walk around the mall.  We shared a snack, then played in the play area.  I had fun playing until I ran out of the area after Mommy told me not to so we had to leave.  I was not very happy about it.  Carol pushed me around and walked with me while Mommy got her hair cut.  She looks very different!
  • After returning home, we had lasagna, bread, and lettuce (with dip) for dinner.  I asked for more lettuce after finishing all Mommy had given me.  Mommy and Daddy opted to have me eat without my shirt instead of a bib since lasagna is so messy!
  • After dinner, I took a bath and spent a lot of time playing in the tub, blowing bubbles, and laying down in the tub.
  • Once it was bedtime, I had Daddy get Bear, blankie, and Dolly out of the crib.  I laid the blanked down, laid Bear on top and wrapped him up in the blanket and said "Ni-nite!"

Alyson's Exciting Events of the Day:

  • I woke up close to 8:00.
  • While Daddy did his exercises, I ate breakfast.  I had cocoa krispies.  I think I'm getting better at eating cereal and milk by myself (Mommy and Daddy disagree).
  • Daddy and I played with blocks and colored while Mommy was away at meetings.
  • I pushed Gemma off the back of the couch.  Whlie trying to catch herself, she scratched my wrist (several little scratches).  Gemma pouted the rest of the night because she felt bad.
  • I ate a Habanero quesadilla and chips and cheese dip for dinner, then walked down to see Christian Lopez's band, Joe Taxi, down at the square in Martinsburg for a few minutes with Chip and Carol before swim lessons.
  • During swim lessons, I did a great job swimming.  Since today was our last day of class it was a play day.  They turned on the water toys (umbrella, buckets, sprays, etc.).  I spent as much time out of the water as I did in the water and even threw a tantrum when Mommy wouldn't let me run around.  I did a face plant on the sidewalk and busted my lip.  Daddy had ice cream at home to ease the pain.
  • So, current boo-boo count...  10!  (skinned knees from the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix, bug bites from the night we played in the backyard with the sprinkler, scratches from Gemma, and now two new boo-boos from the pool (one cut on the inside of my lip and one scrape under my lip on my chin).
  • We watched the Olympic Opening Ceremony before bed (I mostly played games on Mommy's ipad while Mommy and Daddy watched).  I called Carol in the middle of the Opening Ceremonies without Mommy knowing.  When Mommy hung up after apologizing to Carol, she locked her phone and I couldn't figure out how to unlock it.  I was not happy.
  • While watching the ceremonies, Mommy practiced putting my hair in a ponytail and pointed out that Dolly has two pigtails to try to convince me to leave my hair up...  that didn't work but every time I took my hair down, I handed the hair tie back to Mommy and said again.  After she put it up I said "picture" and handed her the phone to take a picture then took my hair down again.  I did this a few times before I just left my hair down.

Alyson's Exciting Events of the Day:

  • I woke up close to 9:00 this morning.  Mommy and Daddy were thrilled that I slept so late.
  • Mommy fixed me waffles and dip for breakfast then we played for a little bit.
  • Daddy laid down in the floor for a few minutes so I decided to bring him pillows and cover him with my blankie.  I also put a few stickers on him while he had his eyes closed.  Mommy thought I was cute taking care of him.
  • We watched a couple of episodes of Curious George.
  • I spent a couple of hours with Ms. Kelly and Emily while Mommy went to the eye doctor.
  • After coming home and taking a nap, I had a quick snack and played with my blocks until it was time for swimming lessons.  I also did exercises with Daddy with the Wii fit (I used the scale for my balance board again like yesterday).
  • I did great at swimming today even though I wanted to spend more time out of the pool than in just because I was so curious.  I discovered the pool drains today and pointed all of them out to Mommy and Daddy.  I only went down the frog slide once today and was a little scared.  I didn't want to go down it again.  Mommy and Daddy aren't sure why I'm scared all of a sudden.
  • After swim lessons we went through the Dairy Queen drive-thru to get dinner and ice cream since it was Miracle Treat Day.  I ate some chicken strips, bread, fries, and vanilla ice cream.  It was delicious!!!
  • After dinner and dessert, Mommy and I sat on the porch for a few minutes watching the storm that was rolling in.  I kept saying "thunder!"
