Alyson's Antics for the Day:
I said...

  •  "Who let the dog out?" (over and over again after seeing the commercial for the new Peabody & Sherman movie).
  • "Our noses are triangles!"
  • "It's good to break a leg?" (after Mommy told me to tell Daddy to "break a leg" before he left for opening night of his musical tonight... I was very confused when she said it was good luck).
I did...

  • I colored several pictures today at school and nearly all of them were colored blue.  I chose blue since it is Mommy's favorite color.
  • After dinner, Mommy took me to Daddy's school to watch the girls from her school play the girls from Daddy's school.  It was fun wearing my Future Cardinal shirt and spending time with the big girls around me.  I liked cheering and clapping and Ms. Brittny says I have a future in cheerleading.
  • After the game, Mommy and I went through the Dairy Queen drive-thru to get a treat to take home.
  • We called Grandma and Grandpa to say hello, but I was a little too hyper to do much talking.

Alyson's Antics for the Day:

I said...

  •  "Totally!" (in response to Mommy saying, "this room is really cold").
  • "Going to zoom in!" (referring to arm sliding into the sleeve of her PJ shirt).
  • "Go Alyson!"  (when Mommy asked me to hurry climbing into bed).
I did...

  • I felt a lot better this morning and had no fever, so Daddy took me to school.
  • I didn't eat much for lunch so the teacher took my temperature and I had a low-grade fever but I toughed it out the rest of the day and still felt well other than a little cough.
  • I went to Daddy's school to help him do a little work. I had fun walking around and throwing away papers.
  • Mommy and I cuddled on the couch watching the Garfield movie and The Goodnight Show before bed.

Alyson's Antics for the Day:

I said...

  •  "I'm yellow.  I sick" (referring to the color the thermometer displayed when Mommy took my temperature this morning- yellow is a low-grade fever).
  • "Alien!  Alien!" (as I climbed into my bed and found my alien doll...  I named him/her/it "Bloopie").

I did...

  • Since I was sick today, Daddy stayed home with me, but first we went to his school to get his papers ready for his substitute teacher.
  • I watched half of "The Lizard of Boz" before asking Daddy to switch it to "Shrek."
  • I took two naps today.  I was working on my second nap when Mommy came home and found me sleeping on the couch under the cover.
  • I barely ate any food, but was starting to act like I felt better close to bedtime.  Mommy and Daddy are hoping for a more restful night and a healthier day tomorrow.

February 25, 2014

Alyson's Antics for the Day:

I said...
  •  "Me is..."  "Me wants..."  "Me likes..."  (Daddy says I've been talking like Jar Jar Binks lately, whoever that is).
  • "Closing... closing... closing" (while pulling down my shirt after Mommy and I put Vicks on my chest at bedtime).

I did...
  • Daddy took me to school and picked me up from school today instead of Mommy. I made a clown mask on a stick and we learned about the circus.  It was a fun day.
  • Daddy and I played Candy Land and Daddy had to hold Indy on his lap to keep him from playing too.
  • Mommy and I were still not feeling so great, so we cuddled on the couch and played Disney Junior games on the computer and watched The Goodnight Show until time to brush teeth and wash face.
  • I chose to wear my piggy pj shirt to bed. Mommy says it's getting too small, but I don't mind.

Alyson's Antics for the Day:

I said...
  • "Guess what I ate for breakfast at school...  hot dogs!!! with tator tots, and applesauce and chocolate milk" (to Mommy while she was driving me home from school).

  I did...
  • I told Mommy my throat hurt from coughing on the way to school.  Her's was hurting too.  She was hoping I wasn't getting sick.
  • I sounded a little congested and coughed on and off during the afternoon and evening.
  • I went to dance and decided to pull a string on my tights which made a small hole.  By the end of dance class, the small hole was quite big.  Mommy still bought me a purple iced cookie.  Luckily my leotard is also purple since I got a little icing on it while eating my cookie.
  • Mommy and I tried playing Candy Land on the floor, but Indy wanted to cuddle too much, so we only got to play a few minutes before he took over.
  • Mommy and I cuddled on the couch since we both weren't feeling so great.  Hopefully we will feel better tomorrow.

February 23, 2014

Alyson's Antics for the Day:

I said...
  • "The Sun is not my friend" (after asking for glasses to shield my eyes from the Sun while riding in the car with Mommy and Daddy).
  • "Gee-bra, you're welcome" (after rescuing him while he was hanging off the edge of the bed).

  I did...
  • I wore a beautiful dress (as well as my Flipeez hat) to church.
  • I ate yummy mac-n-cheese, bread, and yogurt at Panera.  I also helped Mommy eat the left-over broccoli from her cheddar broccoli soup.
  • After deciding to sleep in my own bed instead of cuddled with Mommy at naptime, I chose to close my bedroom door while napping.  Mommy is worried I am growing up too fast.
  • We called Grandma and Grandpa and I sang "Lizard of Boz" songs to them.  I started giggling so hard that I got the hiccups and couldn't finish singing, "We're off the see the lizard, the wonderful Lizard of Boz."  I kept hiccuping in the middle of that line then tried again.  I tried 20 or more times and never finished the line without a hiccup.

Alyson's Antics for the Day:

I said...
  • "Will you play 'Candy Crush' with me?" (referring to Candy Land, the board game).
  • "I call this my purse.  It's where I keep my monkey" (I told Daddy while wearing my small bucket on my arm).
  • "I wanted you to plug in my light, not Daddy.  I didn't want him to help.  He's a Moo Cow! (I told Mommy while being cranky at bedtime).

  I did...
  • I drew pictures with Daddy.  One of the pictures I drew was a Valentine tree.
  • Daddy fixed us pancakes.
  •  I helped fold clothes while wearing socks on my hands.
  • Mommy and I played games on Disney Junior's website.  My favorite was making my own animal parade video.
  • I was upset that I couldn't tie the shoelaces in my book, Zippers, Buttons, and Bows, even though Mommy explained that tying shoes is very difficult to learn.

Alyson's Antics for the Day:

I said...
  • "Mommy is my best friend."
  • "Look at the sky.  It's beautiful.  God painted it for us.  God's my friend."
  • "Keegan is my best friend."

  I did...
  • I was exhausted this morning!  I whined and whined and whined!  By the time I got to school, I forgot I was tired.
  • I colored a fish bowl and goldfish today at school.  I got a lollipop for being a good girl all week.
  • Mommy and I went to her school for the basketball game tonight.  I clapped with the cheerleaders and loved it, other than the loud buzzer that kept going off.  I colored frog papers and taped them to the doors of people Mommy works with.  I even added "their letter" to their frog.  Keegan showed up so I was super excited.  We ran around, sat together, cheered together, and had a lot of fun.
  • I nearly fell asleep on the way home, but still had energy to read We're Going on a Bear Hunt again before bed.

February 20, 2014

Alyson's Antics for the Day:

I said...
  • "The place where I get the little piggy was missing his hat.  It must be Wacky Wednesday" (after some questioning, Mommy discovered that I was talking about where I get roast beef - Arby's because it's hat part of the sign had some lights that were not working).
  • "I think they cut it off" (still talking about the Arby's sign).  When Mommy asked why, I said, "it was too big so they cut it off.  I think they might have given it to Chick-fil-A."

  I did...
  • I woke up tired, but was excited to go to school.
  • Daddy and I tried to call Mommy after she left to sing her Happy Birthday, but she didn't answer her phone.
  • I colored the United States map at school today and was super excited to get the books that Mommy had ordered for me.
  • Daddy and I took Mommy to dinner then I spent a little time with Ms. Sierra and her family.  My hair was braided beautifully when she picked me up.  I had a Band-Aid on my belly from a tiny scratch I got playing a little too much with my friends.
  • Mommy and I read my new copy of an old favorite book of mine that was falling apart, We're Going on a Bear Hunt.  It is one of mine and Mommy's favorite books.
