Most Memorable Events of the Day:
  • Wore a super cute outfit to school today, my Inside out t-shirt, a black skirt and purple leggings.  I had lots of fun playing with my friends and even got to play outside again today on the playground.  My friends loved seeing my new fox friend that I got at the zoo yesterday.
  • Mommy picked me up and we spent the evening at home.  I played outside a bit while Mommy cooked dinner and other than that, I watched a little television and rested.  I think we are all still a little tired from yesterday's adventure.
  • While Mommy was cleaning, she found something I had done at school a while ago.  Daddy must have picked me up the day I did it since she didn't see it and it got put in a pile of my artwork.  She thought it was so sweet and said she can't wait to take me to an amusement park.
  • After my shower, I asked Mommy to paint my fingernails with purple, pink and green.  I wanted a base coat of purple and then pink flowers with green stems.  Mommy said my fingernails are too small but still managed to make a great design with all three colors.  I loved it!
  • At bedtime, Gemma was in Mommy and Daddy's bed so she let me pet her and rub her belly for a long time.  I love my "Gemma cat."  I had Mommy give hugs, kisses, and ugga-muggas to all of my kitty and fox family when she tucked me into bed.

Most Memorable Events of the Day:
  • A very early morning, but I was super excited!  We boarded the train and headed to DC for the day.
  • After breakfast at Union Station, we went to the park to feed the squirrels.  There were lots of them but they seemed a little more timid and didn't get as close as usual.  They sure liked the peanuts though.
  • We walked through the Botanical Gardens.  Mommy and Daddy really loved the orchids.  I was more excited about the water fountains!
  • Next we walked through the Sculpture garden then to the Natural History Museum.  We saw the dinosaurs and lots of insects.  My favorite (and Mommy's too) was the time we spent in the butterfly pavilion.  We had so much fun and it was so cool to have the butterflies flying all around.  Mommy had one tickle her ear with its wings and I was able to hold one.  I was really worried about the one I was holding because it seemed to have a hurt wing.  I carried it to the volunteer working in there but she thought it was okay and that it just liked me.
  • After another walk and lunch at a big food court, we got on the Metro for a little ride.
  • We walked again, this time to the zoo.  I was so excited to see the pandas!  We saw three, Mama, Daddy, and Bao Bao.  Bei Bei was hiding behind Mama's area taking a nap, so we only got to see him on the cameras.  It must have been snack time since they were all eating their bamboo.  I also was excited to see the elephants, gazelles, cheetahs, and otters.  At the gift shop, I got a beautiful butterfly mood bracelet and a new fox stuffed animal to sleep with.  I was so happy!
  • After another walk, metro ride, and train ride, we made it back to town.
  • It was a long day, so other than dinner and some rest time on the couch, we didn't do anything else before bed.
  • Mommy's reflections on the day:  butterflies are awesome (we are definitely doing that again) and bones are scary (Alyson cried slightly hysterically when we were around all of the animal skeletons.  She loved the dinosaur skeletons and fish skeletons, but the very large turtle and alligator skeletons were enough to do her in.  Also, a very tired Alyson is a very cranky Alyson.  My pedometer says 7.37 miles walked today, so I guess that is a lot for little legs, so I'll remember to be patient with her.

Most Memorable Events of the Day:
  • Another great day at school.  Today I had more of my friends to play with.  When Mommy picked me up, I had paper horses in my cubby.  I asked her if she could sew dresses for me and my friends and told her that we all had drawn (on the horses) what our dresses would look like and showed how long they should be.  She told me she would try her best.  When we got in the car, I buckled in my cat family so they would be safe.
  • We came home and I got to play with "Sphero the Great."  Mommy even took me somewhere with more space that I could let it go and chase it too.  It was lots of fun!  I'm getting better and so is Mommy.
  • We went to Brother's for trivia night.  I had so much fun playing with Lucy.  We played with puzzles, the iPad, and even chased each other around a bit until Mommy made us stop.  No matter what, we had so much fun together.
  • Before bed, we packed our bag for tomorrow.  I can't wait to go into DC on the train.  It will be awesome!
